    Hey all, Just wondering if Straya has any plans to bring I&A to Tanoa? I've been playing I&A on US servers during pre-release and have to say it is an amazing experience.

    Recently I've been seeing more and more people taking MBT's and other heavy vehicles to the AO and dying within 2 minutes of them getting there, as someone who takes driving an armoured vehicle pretty seriously, this annoys me to no end. Especially when those people waste a kuma and have it replaced by a slammer (Those who know me should know that my hatred for the slammer is powered by the fury of a thousand suns). It is for this reason (And a couple other smaller reasons) that i propose the Heavy Armour slot. This slot, would allow players access to MBT's and other heavy vehicles (This would require removing the MBT's from the main car park) This slot, like the pilot slot, would require players to be on teamspeak (Probably in a different channel to the pilots as that channel gets pretty crowded), it would require them to know how to use what they are driving and to work as a team while using it. I was thinking maybe 2-3 of these slots plus one whitelisted. I think their vehicle area, like that of the pilots, should be split off from the main spawn of the airbase, with permanent spawns for slammers[apparently some people like them?], kuma's, AFV-5's (@Qeus) and maybe an AA vehicle. Plus a few AI around for crew, so we don't need to have all of the heavy armour players in the same vehicle. This is something I've had on my mind for a while now, I've been slowly constructing it into a full idea and i think its ready for serious consideration, what does everyone else think?

    I don't have access to a constant log of numbers on servers. But it seems like I&A needs more slots

    the whole experience was very enjoyable. The AInc could have lined us up and shot us cartel style and I still would have had fun. (:

    I mean u can not fly helicopters because there are so much trees there and its hard to land.

    This. I agree with your point about waiting for people to buy apex on sale or when it gets cheaper or in general getting people to buy it, and if you hadn't posted it I would have. BUT I strongly disagree with Tanoa and it's RP capability. Despite the fact that it is very jungle-like, my opinion and the opinion of those who I have spoken to have all said that it is as if Tanoa was built for RP game-modes. Like, honestly, from some servers that I have seen just a little bit of extra map development and enter-able house placement as well as making use of most if not all of the islands available (maybe even the small ones to put black market dealers on etc) you have one hell of a life mod. Conclusion: In the end, I reckon for now just add apex equipment and vehicles to Altis and wait patiently. As @M_Dyet said, good things come to those who wait. Just my little bit adding to the discussion, feel free to have a different view point, I will not think of you any different. Thanks, Dima

    The blokes in military gear hanging off a little chopper? I had a bug where I couldn't see any chat or server messages, so I totally missed their dec, got killed, and they made off with my HEMTT full of diamonds. Thankfully, the server crashed shortly afterward and all I lost was my gear (and the diamonds obvs). Dunno whether they believe that I couldn't see chat, but even if I would've recorded it, I don't believe in the whole compensation process, nor is it their fault I couldn't see it. That said, next time I'll stay in my Tempest, wait for them to start shooting and try my best to run them over. I am a free citizen, I do not consent to any search by non-law enforcement.

    There's a few issues with this. You aren't wrong, it would be cool, but there are some fences that would have to be climbed. Keep in mind I am not part of the development, or even the moderator staff. Just another user. First up, Straya is technically a monetized server. This means that every mod put on the server needs the permission of the creator for it to be legally allowed, as per Bohemia's terms of service. Second, although I LOVE TRYK, it is not officially on the steam workshop. A mod that isn't on the workshop is a mod not worth having, as it isn't hooked up to the launcher, and less people are likely to get it. Thirdly, more servers means more cash. It costs $120 Aussie dollars to run the I&A server, and although we do always hit the mark and then some, tossing up another server (which would have a smaller playerbase, and need a larger moderator team) could get expensive quickly. While I do dream of mods on I&A and/or more servers, these are the current hurdles.

    After the suggestion i left in another thread i toyed around with the vanilla UCAVs that Apex added and i have found something interesting, the CSAT UAV that was added has laser guided missiles, they can be guided without a lock in the same fashion as ATGMs and dagrs but the fact they cant be abused like the standard ATGMs could be a possible reason to toy with the idea of adding them in. on the topic of the Falcon, in terms of scouting abilities it is a good upgrade to the Darter due to the speed at which it can move between AO's, but its armament of DARs needs to be considered too

    I dream of being able to drive a scorcher around and use it at ranges it would ACTUALLY be useful and above all ACCURATE (to a point) or use for direct fire support, just disable the artillery computer for everyone but FSG and increase the rearming time and it could possibly be balanced enough. Having the missile drones in would be nice if its possible to make them laser guided only cus sometimes GBUs are just over kill or not the right tool for the job ( i think the new CSAT Fixed wing UCAV added with Apex is armed with laser guided missiles, unsure though but the field manual mentioned it) being able to modify Jet loadouts would be nice too (a bit of a stretch, but any pilot that has flown CAS at some point has mumbles about the ATGMs under their wings that they cant use) an even further streach: DAISY CUTTERS i mean come on with these new VTOLs it should be slightly remotely possible? right?

    Sorry for the Revive after 4 months but i dont see the point in making a new topic that zombine has already covered most of. I think the Armored aspect of the server might need a look at; either allocated slots as zombine suggested or some rules applied, cus some people either take a tank with only one person to crew all of it and basically waste a perfectly good tank by using it as a 120mm sniper rifle or take an AI crew and drive straight in and just stomp entire AO's on a scale larger then CAS can ever do due to the HUGE decline in the threat AT infantry pose to tanks (no seriously the AI are so bad at aiming alamuts that they need to be point blank to actually cause concern) Another thing i have seen recently is people taking 2 or 3 tanks and/or APCs and all of the AI and basically crewing entire tank with AI and have it command them from a hunter or something

    If you are really keen you can configure your Startup Parameters to autoconnect to your favorite server -connect=<ip> Server IP to connect to. -port=<number> Server port to connect to.
