Disclaimer : This is not a hate thread. Honesty is a good thing. 1. Strayagaming Altis Life server has major performance issues. - this is beyond doubt. It crashes almost twice every restart period. NOT including standard restarts. 2. What are the main causes? If its server load , a dedi box with headless client in conjunction with the dedi box for server would address alot of the issues. if its not server load , what is the primary cause for so many crashes. Because lets be honest , its not normal. Thank you for taking the time to read this. And remember , this is not a hate thread , i believe in honest feed back , and honest appraisal from community members/staff makes a community strong.

Howdy. You all know me. I am that guy who does things, that are fun, runs the Cops, and runs the Server. It is not my Server. I don't own it, or anything like that. I just work here. And working sometimes means, in the scheme of thing's, the Boss, Mr Beef is entitled to call the shots. I respect that, and him, and the Heads, in all that I do. I am talking now to all the players. Every single one. @Tiggati says to me, "Hey Spec, you kinda smashed that guy a bit hard", then I look at what I did, and I adjust it. Regardless of, if I agree, or disagree, or think, bullies and cowards, trolls are the scum of the earth. I respect him as Head of Ops. I do as he ask of me. I hate Trolls. They are, the enemy, to me, as Admin. Anyone who threatens the brand, or does stuff like that, to hurt you guys, they have to go through the Staff first. And I will fight em, day and night, to make sure you guys have a great time on all the SG Servers. But in that I sense peoples nature pretty fast. Hey, @vizzN, mate I am shining the spotlight on you here. Sorry if you get stage fright champ. You and I had words. My sense, of you was, hmm, good guy, in a bad spot, lets put him with some other good guys. Feedback? your a great RPer, praise on you from your new groups leadership. A win. Events are good. Cops good. Donations, I ask you guys for help. I needed it, "because reasons" and you guys, you overwhelmed me with your support, and opened your wallets and we double the Altis Donations almost. Thank you, for that. Again and again. Thank you. All of this tells me, heck maybe I do an ok job, and people like me. Good stuff. Lets keep it going. I try to do what I can. I am a Leader. A decision has been made, that has a lot of you offside, or scared, or looking to the sky like it will fall. None of this is true. You all know what I mean, the return of some people and a new project. A new Server in the works. "What" is never, ever as important as "How". How we conduct ourselves, as Gentlemen, and players is the end of all things. @LuckyB33f is the boss. He has made a decision. I back him in all he does, and I follow on and do what he asks of me. I will carry on the business of Altis, and other things, at some levels, are not your concern as players. I dont say that as a talking down kind of things, but, hey, "Dont worry guys we got this. Its on us". Just play the game, thats what I want. If I have ever done anything to assure you that I am a man of my word, take me at face value on this. Just play. Stick with it. Beef has earned all our respect and the right to make whatever call he wants. He has stuck with it all. If we look at this, and I hope you will, and you look to ME, and Roger and Zomboid, you know us all as hopefully, good men, and good Admins, and I am saying to you all, here and now. Do not leave us, as players and Staff, over things you think may be. Hold on for me, and just, work as you always have. Don't let your fear rule you. I will never abandon you, or betray you, or be not there when you need me. So I need you all, now, more than ever, to follow where I, we, all of us, lead. Dear Straya Gaming, It is with a heavy heart that I write this message but, myself and also speaking for @John Paul are formally announcing our resignation from Straya Gaming. After two and a half years of service with one of the best Australian community's (And still is). To the current/retired staff: I like to think that I earned your respect over the years and wanted you to know you've earned mine. I will remind you all to perform your duties as best you can, but with some parting advice: Do not follow blindly, stand up for yourselves and make sure you express whatever differences you have and stick to your beliefs. Remember, mean what you say and do what you say; HONOR, INTEGRITY, and RESPECT cannot be purchased at ANY price. And if you are to be damned by anyone, be damned for who you are. To the members: You guys make up this community as a whole. How Straya Gaming proceeds in the future is up to you. Take measure of what you have here currently and do whatever you can to make this a better place. Stand up for yourselves and your fellow members. As for me, I feel that I possess neither the constitution nor the strength to remain here. I think back on the times I've had here, the friends I've made over the last two years, the people I've met, and can't help but to wonder if anything could have been different to prevent me from taking this course of action. I concluded the answer is no. I like to think I've been able to help the people in this community and have helped make the community better as a whole. My hope is Straya Gaming can continue to produce quality, respected members throughout the gaming community. I would like to thank all of the members in Straya Gaming for their continued support. I will no longer wield the power to command. As I leave you all today, I wish to say the honour was to serve, both as a leader and as a member. 100% Spectal. I have always looked at yourself as a mentor. Your one of the reason I was drawn to straya gaming. Sometimes you need to come down hard on some people for the message to get through. I completely understand that as well. Got to respect the chain of command and most of the time when you step back and take a look at the situation at hand, you come to terms the situation and adjust. Just like you said. The events MY GOD mate you just come off a 21 day streak. From single night event to 3 day weekend events you done it all. Even bringing SP and PNX together which is just insane!!! I know that you got heaps more to come and I can smell the sweet scent of the 50 just around the corner. In my personal opinion Spec your Heart of the Altis Life Server. You bring us all together whether its to help pull the SG through a month of donations or just to stuff around on the salt flats with @Deano in hatchbacks. In closing Spec this would not be the server, the community it is today without yourself. Big thx to all you guys, the staff and the community. Can we just all take a second to appreciate how much @Lachlan does in this community. While everyone is playing and having a good time what is he doing. Doing comp requests, going through video after video for us. I don't know about anyone else but this deserves praise the amount of work you do for this community Lachlan is amazing cause whenever I scroll through the activity feed I always see comp request after comp request filled out by him. Good job mate. Keep up the great work!

Without you Spectral and the other staff, this community and server wouldn't be where it is today. Without the control, respect and people in charge (as such) people would just run rampant and that is not what SG is about in my opinion. You well and truly are a leader for this community and you bring the server together with your AMAZING events and just being able to have a good time with some banter on the side. We wouldn't be #1 without you guys as leaders of this community and laying down the laws for everyone else to follow. Sometimes you have to come down hard on people for them to understand and be motivated to fix themselves and correct what they have done. Ive never been in such a good community before and its great coming onto the forums or in game everyday and being able to enjoy myself with new situations and just relaxing. Keep doing what your doing spec ever since I started the server and you were only help desk back in January if I'm correct? when you first dealt with my issue I've heard of you all the time and everytime I looked in the teamspeak you were always helping the server and going up through the ranks. The king of events himself also the 21 days was the funnest couple of weeks and required a lot of dedication and yeah KEEP IT UP!!

well the only thing thatll be effected for you would be driving the atv. the rest is running and swimming. shouldnt be to bad.
