After the Fun Run/Swim and it's festivities had been completed, the task fell to @Roger Purple and @Spectral to pick a worthy recipient of the Altis Community's goodwill and charity, the winner was a man named "Mark" who had only recently moved to Altis the day he turned 21. Mr Mark was treated to a party and a showcase of the equipment used by the Altis Police Department as well as helicopters brought in by civilians for the event. He was also offered a position in Acquisitions Incorporated by the CEO @[AI] STALKER, the event was enjoyed by all including civilians who took the time to see police equipment such as Hunters, gunboats and the feared Blackfoot up close. On behalf of the APD and Altis I welcome Mark to the community and I hope you enjoyed the event and the gifts you received to help you on your way in Altis -That Lucky SOB (S08W). As Kushieda would say: He's right, and I didn't realise other players were curious about my callsigns until I was asked twice this weekend about them. There's nothing fancy about them, but I figured I'd state what they were (Most are commonly used anyway) if they help newer pilots get used to radio/TS comms. Aircraft Callsigns I use the model of the aircraft to denote what I am flying: Ghost 1-1 (I use "Ghost" only, to avoid confusing Ghost Hawk with Mohawk) Mohawk 1-1 Huron 1-1 Taru 1-1 Little Bird 1-1 (I've not heard anyone use Hummingbird, so stick to Little Bird also) Buzzard 1-1 Neophoron 1-1 Blackfish 1-1 Because there are three Ghost Hawk spawns, I use Ghost 1-1, Ghost 1-2, and Ghost 1-3. 1-1 is closest pad to pilot spawn, 1-2 the middle pad, and Ghost 1-3 (My personal preference) is the camo Ghost Hawk next to the Huron spawn. The same for the Blackfish, the Infantry Transport is closest to pilot spawn so that's 1-1, the Vehicle Transport is 1-2. Why 1-1? Because if you have a couple of AA/CAS over AO, you can designate them as 2-1 and 2-2 to denote hostiles and use this to coordinate attacks. Helicopter Pad Callsigns Most pilots already do this, but there's been some confusion about which pad at base is 1 and which is 4. It's left to right, if you're facing infantry spawn. E.g. 1 is closest to the heli repair pad, 4 is the closest to the AA tower. Use of callsigns Most pilots pick this up from listening to TS, but here are some examples I use when flying on the I&A server: Like I said, there's nothing fancy about these callsigns. Just a bit of roleplay fun. If I've missed anything, please add it below. I'd love to expand to my callsigns!

Technically they are a Civ gang. We have done this as civ's aswell. Nothing wrong with being vigilant as a civ gang.

Roughly the same story here @Leopard Usually when it gets messy like this, I select everything, and just dump it all in that folder called 'Files' in the top right-hand corner. Then, sort out all the Texture Development stuff into a dedicated folder. And *wam*, perfecto.

despite some hiccups early on the Altis Community came together to raise money for newly arrived citizens and the less fortunate with SRT Assistant Commissioner Bonez' fun run. I had my trusty go pro out and took some lovely snaps of the event to show the community spirit and just how many people turned out for the fun had by all (even the cops joined in at the end). Thanks to the runners as well as the volunteers from the EMS, Life Savers and the APD for giving it your all. On a side note, [FARA] Emanuel was the first person to reach the Police HQ from Peaches field. -That Lucky SOB (S08W). Duty Sergeant, Sydney Station.

Keep doing what your doing spec ever since I started the server and you were only help desk back in January if I'm correct? when you first dealt with my issue I've heard of you all the time and everytime I looked in the teamspeak you were always helping the server and going up through the ranks. The king of events himself also the 21 days was the funnest couple of weeks and required a lot of dedication and yeah KEEP IT UP!!

100% Spectal. I have always looked at yourself as a mentor. Your one of the reason I was drawn to straya gaming. Sometimes you need to come down hard on some people for the message to get through. I completely understand that as well. Got to respect the chain of command and most of the time when you step back and take a look at the situation at hand, you come to terms the situation and adjust. Just like you said. The events MY GOD mate you just come off a 21 day streak. From single night event to 3 day weekend events you done it all. Even bringing SP and PNX together which is just insane!!! I know that you got heaps more to come and I can smell the sweet scent of the 50 just around the corner. In my personal opinion Spec your Heart of the Altis Life Server. You bring us all together whether its to help pull the SG through a month of donations or just to stuff around on the salt flats with @Deano in hatchbacks. In closing Spec this would not be the server, the community it is today without yourself. Big thx to all you guys, the staff and the community. Together we can be the biggest, the best, the most fun, the baddest, the most awesomest server out there!!!! Keep doing what your doing -True
