WIP Fixed: Jail Spawn Fixed: Added new blocks to the crafting system so that everything is now craft able. (Thanks Yuri :P) Fixed: Peaches are now sell able at market as well as apples. Fixed: Optimized All Vehicles weights, y item prices and processing license prices. Fixed: Fixed Convoy Dialog spam. Fixed: Moved shoot house in Sydney PD away from the helipad. lel. Removed: Old Y Menu Removed: That piece of shit phone that came up when you pushed Shift+Y. Side Notes: We are aware that Medic is bugged on first join, to my knowledge it is like this on most servers, on first join please press escape then click respawn. We are also aware that there is another rebel spawn point that points to the ocean, this was kept in because we are constructing a new rebel outpost closer to another location that you will all appreciate. It is easy to leave the spawn point there rather than delete it. Thanks for all the great feedback, keep sending more our way! By the time we are finished we will have a perfect mission file ready for you all that has been molded by the hands of the community.

3 points@Spetsnaz AKA Andrew How does extending cool downs act as a solution to the number of cops required to do a robbery? I do agree that time needs to be extended so cops can actually patrol an RP. Rebels can put all their gear away and go rp with them. Not murder them. Increasing time between doesn't change a thing in regard to how many numbers are on. SRT only gets called when you are in city limits. Why are you there? Medics can't be forced to revive as they will be non stop getting killed by which ever side sees them reviving the opposing faction. You shouldn't, and you can't get revived and continue to engage in a fire fight. So why the need to be revived in combat to then have to leave? Have you ever been a cop with a 9mm smg sitting in a tin can getting engaged by a 9.3mm 150 round belt? Ever tried not getting one tapped by a 6.5 because you can't buy a vest? Trying to take down an Armour level 5 with a 9mm only to be wearing a armour level 1? Being a rebel isn't all about vsing cops. Not having a go at you, just debating the topic. You're entitled to the same.

3 pointsTo all those waiting and asking me... rumour has it that the Altis Police Force is awaiting shipment of its new uniforms and vehicles and that the cargo is due to arrive within the next day or so...

2 pointsHey everyone, my name is Risky. I'm 21, currently living in Sydney and getting back into Arma (especially I&A) You'll often find me flying around on the I&A server trying to keep the flights between AO's fun. Looking forward to meeting more of you!

2 pointsNext post I make will include the addition of all police textures and fixed vehicle textures, you'd be correct,

2 pointsSRT Is meant to be difficult. realistically, if a rebel gang/cartel with armoured cars, 15 people and 9.3mm guns in real life rocked up to within 2 kilomiters of a civilian hub, you could damn well bet there would be alot more then 75 police/MILITARY there. You then go on to say that " I understand that rebels have a clear fire superiority and there needs to be a balance to help the police actually do there job" but you seem to contest every single form of imbalance that doesn't work to the rebels advantage. And how often do you see 25 police on? hasn't been like that for a while. Not only is it a logistical nightmare and difficult for the ranking officer, we also spread out ALL OVER THE MAP when it's like that. @That Lucky SOB

1 pointHi Lads, We are rebuilding Altis Life as a public build. We are putting up a 100 slot server starting from vanilla to update every few days. This is a place where you can play without bugs of the old build and we are happy to move your money over only once. This is the place where we take your feed back as we build so we can get it all right. Please post suggestions below I would like to see it as dot points. No stories please

1 pointHi guys, I've been working on a potential event and have come to the point where the notes can be released. At this point in time I require some outside input. Scroll through and have a look, once you have read it, please come up with some Civilian Bios. Submit them below and they may be included in the final game mode. The rules have not yet been completed and the entire event is a work in progress. Please make sure your comments are constructive. Introduction The purpose of this event is to promote camaraderie , have fun and go back to the roots of roleplay. Three factions will be operating. Civilians, Insurgents and Military. General background The country of Altis has been under going a political change over the last forty years. The government of Altis has ruled with an iron fist. The democracy is a farce. All elections have been rigged however there has never been any concrete proof. Until now there has only ever been a small rumbling in the back rooms of the civilians. In the past decade there has been a growing number ‘incidents’ mostly labelled as training exercises by the government. People are afraid. They are afraid of those who are intended to be the protectors. The police are working for the government. Corruption and death is one and the same in Altis. You pay the right people you live. You mess with the wrong people you die. The Rumarma have had enough. This small group of youths are ready to impede the government at all cost. They are planting roadside bombs, attacking convoys and causing havoc for the government. Their intention is to free Altis and take into the twenty first century once and for all. Rules of engagement: Military: Objective: The military is to work with the civilians (if they can convince them to) to find the insurgents and neutralize them. Arrest them where possible, kill them where required. The military must NOT fire unless fired at first and must NOT detain or harm anyone without logical and proper reason. Having said that, the military is permitted to question people if reasonable suspicion arises. Insurgents: Objective: If selected to play as an insurgent role is to take over the main military base and take the military General. You may use any means necessary including but not limited to, explosives, vehicles, civilians, deception, lies and dickery. If you are to use civilians keep in mind they are permitted to snitch to the military. Civilians: Objective: As a civilian it is your role to continue life as you know it. You will be assigned a role at the beginning of the exercise. Roleplay this role to the best of your ability, enjoy your time in the role and next time you may end up as military or insurgent. Civilians are permitted to defect to either side but must not take part in active combat. You are permitted to give information to either side. Roles available: Military: 1 x General: You are the target of the insurgents. To be successful you must survive the set time limit. You command your troops and may utilize them to your advantage. Result of death: End of game, insurgents win. 2 x Lieutenant: You are the General’s go right and left hand, what he says you make happen. Result of death: 1 respawn available 4 x Sergeant: The heart and soul of a good army are the battle-hardened sergeants. Your role is to follow the orders of the Lieutenant’s and the General as well as lead the soldiers. You keep your soldiers alive and you’ll retire happy men. Result of death: 2 respawns available 8 x Soldier: The feet on the ground, the boot at the door, the reason for a heart to quicken when the knock is heard. If the General is the letter you are the envelope. You are there to protect, to serve and to make his word arrive. Result of death: 4 respawns available Insurgents: 1 x Leader: much like the general you are the target. If you die, you forfeit the game instantly. Result of death: End of game, Military wins 1 x baker: you make the food at the Hasasun bakery on the corner of 5th and Howard st. Your dough is the thing of legend. When you’re not baking however you are cooking a much different recipe, terror. Your job is to plant explosives and throw grenades. Result of death: 2 respawns 1 x security guard: you are the local security officer that works the front door at the courthouse night club. You have worked there for the last 5 years so you know everyone. Your job is to convince the civilians that your job is a just one. Once convinced you can then use them to do your own bidding, ie wear suicide vests, throw grenades and cause confusion. Result of death: 2 respawns 1 x taxi driver: you drive your car around taking people from point A to point B. You’re an expert in smuggling, you have more secret locations in your car than the baker has washed his hands. You have access to most military controlled facilities because of your rapport with most officers. Result of death: 2 respawns 1 x door to door salesman: you know the alleys and alcoves like nobody else, you have been walking these streets for years, you know most people but you’re not well trusted. Your advantage is having the gift of the gab. Result of death 2 respawns 1 x ex-military soldier: you know the workings of any gun you lay your hands on, you have pulled apart and put together more AK47’s than Vladimir Putin has sold to the Taliban. You arm your cell and are in charge of logistics. Result of death: 2 respawns 1 x ex-paramedic: you can heal all wounds, dress all cuts, ease all pain and you can concoct one hell of a moonshine. Your ability in healing has given you the name of the Dhungat Healer. Result of death: 2 respawns 10 x soldiers: do the bidding of your leader and cause mayhem. Result of death: 3 respawns Civilians: Steve the Fishmonger - you work on the docks as a lowly fish monger trying to sling 3 day old fish simply because it’s all you’ve ever done. You grew up as a youngster in and around the docks, your father was a fisherman so you learned your skills at gutting a fish at a young age. You keep each and every eye ball in a small pouch under your trolley. Why? Because you can. That’s why. Joseph the Mechanic - your small run down garage has been in your family for two generations. While it may not look much it does the job. It puts food on your table and keeps the wolf from the door… most of the time. You enjoy the smell of old engine oil and sometimes fall asleep on your creeper whilst doing your work. Jorge the Beggar - ever since your brother was charged and hung for treason you have lost all hope, you work the streets looking for any food you can find. You scrounge through bins and collect cans for the recycling centre. Sometimes you are able to get some fish heads off the fishmonger somewhat begrudgingly. Funnily enough most of the heads come with out eyes. Martin the Florist - you moved from Holland to Altis thirty five years ago to set your family up. You did not expect the government to be such a pain in the crack. You used to be a doctor, you healed the Elite in Holland which mostly turned out to be Windmill moguls. You are now a florist, you learned the art from sheer necessity and the refusal to let your family down. Waylon the Janitor - congratulations, you secured one of the few government jobs that allows you to come and go from the military compounds without much scrutiny. You are still subjected to searches every now and then however you have accepted it as a part of life and it no longer bothers you. Maqbakalla the Youtuber - your fame came over night after you perfected the ability to create small fireworks in your backyard. You created youtube videos telling people how to make the devices. You have come under government scrutiny after the recent spate of bombings. Roger the Purple - You sell grapes at the market. Your stall is next to the fishmonger. You have regular arguments with him over the smell of the three day old fish and rude manner that he greets his customers. Noel the Mayor - You’re in charge of this town. You’re naive mind is what keeps you in power, not knowing the military is such a powerhouse you continue moving forward in your own way. You ignore all the mayhem and despair and have created a shell around you in which you recede to whenever things get to hard. Gerald the Sportstar - You’re a washed up football player from the last generation who is refusing to accept your demise. You spend your weeks at the local sports bar commentating loudly and drunkenly over the television sets. The other punters take pity and are yet to get sick of your presence. Jahmal the Bible distributor - You distribute all manner of religious material. Your methods are unorthodox and have garnered criticism from your local churches. It has not curbed your enthusiasm and you can be seen most Saturdays on main street trying to sell or hand out different literature. Nenashev Vladislav Yanovich the Slav - first generation Altisian, you have not yet forgotten the “old country”. You recount story after story day in day out at the local. Gerald and yourself are good friends however do not see eye to eye on everything. Speck the Troll - Previously the front office staff at the government headquarters he was moved into the Administration block where he became well known for organising office events, halloween parties, birthday events and secret santa. Laa Kee the Beef Merchant - you are a butcher, your ability to slice up a cow knows no rival. Tru Lee The Game Tester - You spend most of your time playing games for a small company, every game they throw at you, you suck at, This does not stop you, you continue to play games terribly. Game Rules: Foreword: The term “Active Combat” will be used to refer to firing of guns at another faction. The term "Guerrilla Combat" will be used to refer to covert fighting, i.e planting bombs. Military Specific rules: Military must NOT respawn until they have confirmed the death with the event moderator. Military must NOT engage in active combat with civilians unless they have concrete evidence that a civilian is an insurgent or has worked for insurgents. Military may create incentive with civilians to gain information or rule out whether or not a civilian is an insurgent. Civilian Specific rules: Civilians must NOT respawn. The purpose of this rule is so that while insurgents may use civilians as Suicide Bombers / scape goats the more they do... the lower the ratio of civilians to insurgents and therefore less cover for the insurgents. Civilians must NOT engage in active combat, no exceptions. Civilians may engage in Guerrilla combat. Civilians may collude with either insurgent or military. Civilians may lie to either insurgent or military. Insurgent Specific rules: Insurgents may NOT respawn until they have confirmed their death with an event moderator. Insurgents may participate in active combat against any civilian or military operative. MORE TO COME - WATCH THIS SPACE

1 pointSo I will increase the respawn timer now. The charge to break out is yet to put in but when we add this i will increase the jail timer... don't forget everything you do on here now records to the database so itll store it if ur killing then log off
-
1 point=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= YOU WANT MORE RP? do this!!!!!! DONT MAKE IT HARDER TO GET GUNS! JUST DO THIS! LONGER PRISON TIMES. UP TO 1HOUR PER MANSLAUGHTER!!!!! NOT GONNA KILL ONE PERSON TO SPEND 1HOUR IN JAIL THATS NOT FUN, MAYBE ILL RP. LONGER RESPAWN TIME! MOST PEOPLE WOULD GO GATT LIKE 10 COPS/PEOPLE DIE, THEN HIT RESPAWN. NOW IF THEY HAVE TO WAIT 10MINS THEY ARE GONNA THINK TWICE ABOUT RUNNING AROUND ROBBING AND SHOOTING EVERYONE PRISON CLOSER TO AND YOU NEED A CHARGE TO BREAK PEOPLE OUT! MAYBE WITH A 5MIN TIMER SO IT IS ACTUALLY HARD TO BREAK PEOPLE OUT OF PRISON!

1 pointhaha great to have you in the community risky hope you enjoy it... if you need me or any of the other admins/mods you know were to find us

1 pointI do agree the 3 lives for SRT is silly and the only time NLR does not apply is if there is under 4 cops online
-
1 pointMedics have to be 300m from combat situations unless tactical medic for bank which they sit 2nd bank road and even then they do nothing, just wait for a code 5 and make sure no other medics respond which I'm usually on top of anyway. EMS are to never enter combat zones and if they do we yell at them or shoot them for the simple reason of crossfire. If anyone needs to change for these rules it's the cooldown times. The numbers recommended are fine.

1 pointI'm talking about in game stuff such as shops. The server definitely needs it's lag, bugs, etc fixed.

1 pointI agree, most people like it as it is. There are only a few little things that actually need to be changed.
