    Don't think you quite understand what you are asking here; This issue came up because another issue was fixed. As you can see the old framework needs to be scraped as the latency and unplayability just isn't working. We have got a lot of people on the new server which is great but very few of them are pointing out the issues. the thing is we simply can't keep the old server going, it needs to close down. Lets look at it this way; The 'Old' server has a gaping wound and we are only applying band aids to it every now and then The 'New' server has a lot of cuts but they are getting band aids and then proper stitching further down the track Either way we have a wound that needs healing, one will be easier and quicker to heal then the other so i suggest we go with that option

    Given very very indepth feed back to staff on the day of the "closed beta". Copy pasted Tonia Life - stores - crafting with balance issues not addressed - IE: TWS removed but players can craft a static 50 that has thermal.... Player hands on head function not working / supported. Processing points AI floating in the air 300 meters up. I am more than happy to give a complete 100+ point list @envy but i honestly feel that this should not be needed. The server should not be open to the public. The development team SHOULD have a clear design that is either :A: Lacking or :B: not been followed. Assests that are placed should have been tested - see : floating processor and trade AI. Hands on head feature - Should have been tested by staff. I appreciate you want feed back. But this isnt mindless complaining. It's pointing out serious design / balance issues that should not require a player forum response thread to address. In short. Play as Civ. Spawn at each civ spawn point. test each of your shops. Check the spawn points for vehicles. Do a FULL by vehicle run of each legal and illegal product by LAND and then by AIR vehicle. Modify your assets placement based on time / profit etc. Does that address your requirements for "helpful" feed back?

    AR-2 Darter drones for cops The blank whites based on ranks for cops (E.g chief inspectors with stars on the shoulder blades etc) 100 round mags for MX-SW For cops Skins fixed for cops Removal of Gemanderie Uniform and have the SRT greys, undercover uniform and patrol uniforms added back in. SRT shop needs to be set up. + more. I'll play tonight and write up some more.

    Well lets look at this in a simple way. We have the original server unplayable because you cannot buy any new vehicles. We have a new server that sounds like it was not ready yet with too many problems. A no brainer fix for now would be easy. Fix the new vehicle spawn problem so we can still play Altis. Shutdown the new one untill its ready. Compensate losses on the new server. The longer this goes on the more people we will lose.

    1. Close the "OLD" server. IF you need a reason. Hop on as a new player and go buy a vehicle. And get back to me. +20 other server side issues. 2. PRIVATE the "NEW" server. The server is a copy paste of Tanoa Life. Stores. Craftables.( Remind me again who decided on a FRESH start LIFe server to add STATIC 50 cal? But thought TWS needed to be removed ??? ) Police dont function correctly. Civillians can not HANDS ON HEAD. Etc etc etc etc. TLDR: The new server is @#@$ broken. And should not be open to the public in its current state. 3. KEEP THE SERVER DOWN ---- And actually create a PLAN to develop the server. You know .. the little things ... like : What scripts do we need for COP to function. OR -> hey did we enable the HANDS ON HEAD feature? Or my fav .. Lets NOT put 2 fields next to a GANGBASE ... One of them literally within 600 meters of a dam Tower. BALANCE _ thats the thing i was looking for. Actually PLAN on balance. And test it. And do it again. BEFORE you release a broken no functioning server to the community. 4. In closing ... I know how hard servers are to CRAFT , CODE and MANAGE. I really do , from personal experience. But there is a lot of " It wasnt up to me " and " I dont know " from people who apparently were running the development. So Adian .. you know me mate ..... serious advice ........ Bring it down. Work in house. And release a finished product. If thats 3 months down the track. Its 3 months down the track. But if the SG ALTIS LIFE is treated as a brand product name .. right now ... No one is interested in buying. SALAVAGE the name. Population will return. Rush jobs dont work.

    One would think RP would also imitate real life to a degree. In real life oversupply of any commodity drops the price.

    @envy is the dynamic market being kept? (E.g if lots of salt is sold the price crashes). It's really interesting to take a look at the prices and plot your routes based on what processors/mines will be more popular.

    @[AI] STALKER while you are providing constuctive thought you have to remember this; 1) Our dev team are not paid and they have lives (school, work etc) 2) Our dev team is small (while they are quality devs they have a massive workload each) 3) This is the most important point: Best way to find bugs is to stress test and have a large amount of people running around doing things and finding what is wrong 4) Time, if we were to do it the way you suggest then it would be best to take down all life servers for 6 months while we iron and test every little issue (or we could have it up and do it in 1-2 months with community input/support) Please also note that a lot of the issues that you talk about here are fixed and we are just waiting on a few more things to be stiched up so we can release the next mission file.     Just remembered another issue. Cars not spawning aligned on the car spawn (They will spawn facing a wall and can sometimes be a bit of a pain to move) Like I said, I'll get some more tonight

    Because the current altis life is built on a 2 year old, buggy and laggy framework. That is why the new altis life performance is so much better. BUT I think for the new altis life, it should remain closed 6 days a week, and open 1 day a week for stress/beta testing so you can still get feedback, but not cause a split through the community.

    Because all medics can do is revive people and how boring is that, they need more things to do. Perhaps have fire and rescue? Combine roles as you go up the ranks. I'm sure they can code fires to burn alot longer, also I bet they can code more fire situations into it.

    An emphasism on "Real life" its too militarised currently. For both police and civilian. More legal ways to make money Greater range of vehicles, objects and things to do. A fire service!!!!!

    1. When SRT Is declared it should make a sound like the purge event 2. New police skins and titles on the cars , e.g highway patrol , Supervisor , Bomb squad 3. More barriers for police so we can do rbts with slow down signs and what not 4. More skins for cars and rebel vehicles , 5. More activities for the civs and rebels 6. Change the box missions inventory maybe some higher caliber so people go for the.box instead of having to craft them 7. Fast rope from helicopters ( will look good for tactical insertions on bank ) 8. Craft item drop boxes just like the weapons box

    Here's what I think should happen. (Seeing as there is a large team behind making this rebuild, most things seem rushed, copied or just slightly edited from previous/other builds. Altogether - no offence here but the 'closed beta' really seemed like a closed alpha... Not a fault of the individual devs). This would allow strategic, precise feedback on one issue at a time, but most importantly organised work and like currently, a bit of here and there. It would help build a stable basis and THEN you can work on the aesthetics. 1. The first release of the beta should only focus on the mainframe - but the current dev build should still be there, jut not updating other things. Don't start from scratch. - The spawn points - Shop interfaces - Some gear/vehicles for all factions to test out each phase 2. The next update should focus on Ranks within Police & Medics 3. Next release should focus on Gears & Shops. - Police, Medic, Civ & Rebel Market - Police, Medic, Civ & Rebel Gear Shop - Police, Medic, Civ & Rebel Vehicle Shop 4. The next release should focus on textures. - Vehicle Textures - Uniform Textures - Sign/Poster Textures 5. The next release should focus on the Y Menu & Notifications. - Making sure everything is written in english & makes sense for why it appeared - Possibly a new/better layout for the Y Menu - both current & old are lacking 6. Any subsequent updates should relate to firstly Map related updates. Fix bugs etc. for each step after it is released - prior to updating the next step. This focuses the feedback on one area and things aren't missed. It may be worth giving everyone some starting money, and then reset all accounts after the beta has finished, or is of a playable level and then transfer their money.

    FROM A COPS POINT OF VIEW: (Its my point of view and I don't speak for all cops) WALLS FOR SYD PD: A wall at the top of processing and a fix of the wall next to the PD harbour (so no civs can run around the "glitched" wall). SAD: Greater SAD capabilities. Possibility could be enhanced by forcing the storage of items in houses not in cars etc thus giving more "high value" targets to raid. SKINS: New skins for all cars. i.e a supervisor and highway hatchback skins. Keep the the red and red/ white SUV skin and create some more. POLICE DOGS: Would be nice to see them come back. POLICE LOCKERS: (Linking in to the SAD changes if vehicle storage is/was removed) Create a locker system, all weapons etc would be stored in "lockers". Using cars for weapon storage is not practical when a quick response to the bank etc. The locker would be access by a new NPC to the store and each locker would cost 10K to 25K. All of the points above I see as coming in later down the road. (In the middle of development) SIDE POINTS: CITY LIMITS: Move City Limits BACK past Peaches field (SYD) - Create city limits signs making it clear for everyone.
