Yes, my experiences of this have been: - Idiots wasting the ammo - Idiots team killing - Idiots ejecting/moving AI in the vehicle - Idiots moving my vehicle while shooting - Idiots moving my vehicle while lazing - Idiots moving my vehicle in front of enemy tanks TLDR: I wouldn't need this if idiots didn't exist

The Altis Life Court Guidelines (A mix of rules regarding the courts and laws) have just been updated. These changes have been made to help clarify many areas for both police and civilians in regards to their rights and responsibilities. There is more to come but so far we have made some major changes. As always, all areas not mentioned can be decided under common law by attending court to lead to the best RP experience for us all. The new guidelines are at the following address: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Arv9tvMONoX2KGmdg7K4ZiMci1TdrQZcZ2CxAlvwJKE/edit?usp=sharing The major changes are as follows (all changes are in red on the guidelines): Fully defined what an arrest is and what is required Added section for how to become a judge Further clarified warrants and added a whole list of situations which would commonly lead to a house search warrant being issued Added possibilities for the following sentences: License suspensions, Life Imprisonment (Requires agreement of admins, not really for life lol) and the Death Sentance (Requires agreement of the defendant, there as an extra roleplay opportunity) Traffic Law Act (Added in addition to Police Ticket Database, covers speeding and dangerous driving charges) Judicial Discretion (Persons can be given much larger sentances if taken to court) Chain of Death (Covers what is required to upgrade between manslaughter, murder charges and ect.) Added requirement for "Discovery" for court cases Civil Arbitration added for Civilians. This involves a court like experience led by a judge, Federal Prosecutor or another authorized individual to sort out small disputes with a time cap of 10 mintues. This can be used for a quicker and cheaper dispute resolution, ideally you would seek this form a Federal Prosecutor at Sydney Police Station or just request it to a police officer if one party wont attend volunarily. This should be used for traffic cases (crashes) or other small events but make sure you have evidence. (Police Officer testimony should do) Administrative Appeals Tribunal added for discriminatory or abusive demotions, for housing disputes and Freedom of Information requests. NOTE: This tribunal will not review a disciplanary decision just because you think the body was "wrong" "Punative damages for breach of civil liberties" - Just read the document for more info Both Venom and myself are aiming to get many more Police Prosecutors and Civilian Lawyers in a hope to enhance roleplay around this area. Ideally if police abuse their powers we want to be able to have a 20 minute court case with the correct side winning the case, however we also need to make sure the case if fair, requires evidence and is realistic. While many of the items in this document may not be enforced straight away by police they will be shifting into the Jusicial Government and Court immediately and as such court cases claiming compensation will be based off the new changes (Note: this document overrides other documents in the courts eyes, although we tried to ensure there were no conflicts with previous documents) For any more suggestions or if you have any problems please message myself on the forums or come talk to either myself (Jack Fire) and Venom on TS. We have tried to make these changes as fair as possibly and mainly attempted to clarify situations which were already occuring inside roleplay. (50 Words min) I want to be able to train more officers and have the extra responsibility that comes with being a Sergeant. I also want to get closer to getting a Command team role (Junior or Senior), to help shape the APD's development. As a Sergeant, I would be able to do much more to assist in situations and GD in general (An example of this: Being able to give Highway Patrol units a Hatchback Sport instead of an SUV, so they can get around quickly in the event of needing to regroup or move to a bank situation), I enjoy training people and seeing them progress rank wise and skill wise. And that is why I wish to be a Sergeant. Who would recommend you for a promotion? lmao yea i suggested this couple of weeks ago. dont remember what the consensus was but i am all for this. light cas could work. or could be a rotation of the light cas to blackfoot or kajman.

Could I maybe make a suggestion? I know there are a few people who will agree with me that the main problem here isn't who calls CAS in. The root problem is when CAS isn't needing to be called in, it destroys everything; and when it needs to be called in, it is either doing nothing or destroying everything. My suggestion, and I know of a few voices who will back me up, is to remove the fixed-wing CAS all together. Now I'm not saying we should remove fixed wing AA, we can have two of them instead of one and allow more enemy aircraft to appear more often. To compensate for the lost fixed-wing CAS, I believe it will be more effective to replace it with a Littlebird/Hellcat/Orca light CAS. This then removes the trouble of CAS destroying everything before tanks can get there, it allows the AAA in missions to be a threat that pilots have to be weary of, adding a little more challenge; and gives the tanks a proper position in the server, to destroy the other tanks. I'll leave it up to the admins if they want to remove the rules for calling it in or not, but I believe having the light CAS be given free reign to engage (so long as it's not friendlies) will allow it to support the infantry effectively and swiftly. However, this will need to be watched, and players that TK too often in the CAS helos will probably have to be temporarily blacklisted from that role (or just a general TK ban, whatever is easier). I'm interested to hear your thoughts on this.

I'd support this idea in a trial. The issue is there are only 6 Pilot slots so you would have to create Instructor/Trainer slots to prevent losing a pilot slot to training purposes. There are a few experienced pilots who would be good at teaching newer players how to fly.... But @=S.N.A.F.U.= would just be telling them to buy a HOTAS and TrackIR before switching to AFM!

Having this role also allows me to take command over certain situations, this allows me to learn my leadership skills and help advance as a person within the APD and generally become better at taking charge of a situation. The sergeant rank is a rank I've done before, I'm comfortable with how the role works and the formatting that comes with it.
