Hey all, As some of you may be aware I have been working hard at work on a few different things with different officers, this post is going to serve as the notice and announcement of those changes. Included will be some key points to remember. Something that I want to put up first is a little description of certain ranks and roles. First up I will speak briefly about the CO's and TL's, and what is expected of them. This will be a very brief description to hopefully help with some confusion going around. Commanding Officer (CO) The CO is in charge of the General Duty officers that are online, entirely. No one can over-rule his decision as he is solely in charge. As the CO you are required to ensure the General Duty officers are working efficiently and appropriately. Team Leader (TL) The Team Leader is in charge of a subdivision at any given time, entirely. No one can over-rule his decision as he is solely in charge. Divisions will include SRT and Detective. As the TL you are required to ensure that your team is following protocol and completing tasks that they perform and assisting general duties when requested (If you deem is appropriate) The CO and TL's MUST co-operate, for all intents and purposes the CO is in higher authority than any of the TL's regardless of rank. However, the CO is expected to listen to and respect the opinion of the TL's. The CO and TL are responsible for their own members only. Moving on to police ranks. The Database has an accurate representation of rank distribution: 1 Commissioner 1 Deputy Commissioner 3 Assistant Commissioners 1 Chief Superintendent 3 Superintendents ? Inspectors Commissioner: Responsible for the entire APD, and works closely with the Deputy. He is responsible for cabinet promotions, Assistant Commissioner to Commissioner (if he steps down). Deputy Commissioner: Works and performs duties on behalf of the Commissioner and the APD, he is responsible for all promotions from Senior Sergeant to Chief Superintendent. Assistant Commissioner: The Assistant Commissioners when we have some, will be working closely with the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner on releasing updates and changes to the force. There can only be at most, 3 Assistant Commissioners Chief Superintendent: There is only one Chief Superintendent, and he is the highest ranking General Duties officer. The Chief Superintendent is responsible for ensuring the command team and General Duty officers are functioning and working together. The Chief Superintendent is also responsible for punishment and blacklisting. Managing and dealing out punishment including blacklisting, warnings and strikes is the prerogative of the Chief Superintendent, the rest of the command team must be assigned this privilege by the Chief Superintendent only. Superintendent: Superintendents will be in charge of maintaining a single division (SRT, POLAIR, Detective) along with working together to improve the force as a whole. Inspector: Inspectors vary in responsibilities and they are defined by the Chief Superintendent, they can follow one or two of several paths; Administration, Recruitment, Training or Commanding. Administration - Works with the Chief Superintendent and Deputy on improving the protocol and maintaining documents Recruitment - Deals with whitelist applications and ensures ride-along's are performed correctly, also promotes to Constable if permitted. Training - Creates, Edits, and performs training with the assistance of the Chief Superintendent Commanding - Usually a hard role to achieve, an inspector specializing in commanding is usually someone who excels at the role of a CO on general duties or a TL in a division. To start off with the changes, the Polair division has been under some works and should be released with the next server update hopefully by the end of the week. Polair will consist of 3 ranks on the database that allow pilots to use bigger aircraft as they increase. Here is the list: 1 - Hummingbird (Transport, Operations) 2 - Unarmed Hellcat (Transport, Operations, Observation) 2 - Mohawk (Transport) 3 - Blackfish inf + veh (Transport) 3 - Huron (Transport, Orperations) As a QOL change we have changed the default loadout for all officers to add the following: - 5.56mm rifle (Mk20c) - 3 x 5.56mm STANAG - 5 x 5.56mm Knockdown - Police Vest - Carryall olive I have also worked on some balancing of police gear, equipment, vehicles and weaponry. Mostly high-end changes or SRT gear, anyway, here is the list. - Fixed the player tags for level 8 and 9 (Chief Superintendent and Cabinet) - Removed all suppressors from GD - Removed LIM - Removed SPMG - Added Pilot coveralls to Pilots - Added MK200 to SRT member and Chief Superintendent - Added Navid to SRT Specialist - Added Ghosthawk for SRT Specialist (Transport, Operations) - Changed Full ghillie to being only accessible by SRT specialist from Inspector - Changed SRT multi cam to SRT trainee from detective - Changed Spec-ops uniform to SRT member from SRT trainee - Changed Pilot helmet (Gas Mask Grey) to Pilot from Sergeant - Changed Requirements for Nato Berets to Chief Superintendent - Changed Requirements for Colonel Berets to Cabinet - Changed Spec-ops helmet from Chief Inspector to SRT member For a test period to identify how money flows around on the police force I have changed the bounty reward to the following. 10% of total bounty, with a minimum bounty of $20,000 (So you would get 10% of $20,000 which is $2000) Hunters can be purchased instead of just rented, this is because GD will solely be using hunters. Striders have been left in as we are still figuring out how we want to use them. The SRT air store has been changed to require SRT levels to fly instead of pilot levels, however, SRT still must complete the correct training prior to flying. In other news we are still working on detective and the ETA for that is ~ a month currently, look out for more information about it on the forums. Mitch has been put in charge of training and will start working on some course to be completed for officers advancing up the ranks. He will be looking out for those that excel in leadership and work well with others, and will be offering them an opportunity to assist with creating and running the training courses. Depending on how well the training goes there may be more promotions than usual next meeting! I have also been working on re-writing the protocol (SOP as of current) to try and set a clear guide for all officers. the current SOP is a complete mess and doesn't contain information for 90% of your daily duties and what rules you should be following. With the introduction of the new Protocol there will be a grace period for most of the rules on there, allowing some time to adjust. There will also be a lot of changes being made initially as more things I have missed come to light and are added in. I'll keep these to bulk changes mostly and put out update notices, so don't worry about constantly checking the document. I will be updating this post with a link to the protocol when I have finished the core of it. I am more aware of ongoing issues within the force that need to be sorted, and I am hoping that with the release of the protocol some of these issues may resolve themselves. For anything that isn't cleared up or requires immediate attention, please make sure you bring it up with either Wex or myself (Myself if you are not able to talk to Wex) and we will try to help you out. Please do remember that you are all on the same side, and should be working together to better the force. Those that refuse to work with others and overcome differences will be promptly removed. If you do need to get in touch with me, either message me on the website or on teamspeak if you can find me. This thread will remain open for discussion.

There seems to be a problem in the last few days between GD Officers and SRT Officers. I've been a direct witness to a few of them and have been told some of these issues. There's been a divide between the two departments of the APD which is not needed at, especially at this time when the APD and the server is currently rebuilding. I've spoken to Officers on both side and I'm going to speak to more to get an idea of what's going on and what works best with them. If anyone has any input on the matter, message me directly on forums or preferably teamspeak. Now to the problem, from what I gathered. People believe that SRT think that they're better than GD units and that they're too "good" to process people. What led to this was SRT officers dropping people off at PD for GD units to process. SRT are not better than GD units in terms of status and position within the APD. However, they are better than GD units in terms of combat skills and GD units should listen to instructions given by them during combat situations because they're the guys who know what to do. If SRT makes a bad call then leave it at that. They learn from it and it's part of the game. You win some you lose some. I'll describe a few situations. There's been a miscommunication between GD and SRT about a transportation of a rebel in restraints. SRT was asked by GD to transport a rebel to PD and they did. Once they've dropped the rebel at PD, the processing officers were asking what to charge the guy for and nobody answered. SRT was blamed for dropping a guy off and leaving SRT to process without telling them what were his crimes. Another situation occurred at Checkpoint 1 where SRT was conducting operations. They told GD units to leave and not to shoot at the strider they weren't in declaration with. The GD unit shot the strider and got an SRT Officer killed. The players involved in this situation dealt with it in a civil fashion. Finally, when the CO decided to go on a mass foot patrol. The members of Command Team included myself ordered them to return to PD for partnering so we can do General Duties properly. Someone thought it was a smart idea to make a comment saying something along the lines of "Nice of SRT to ruin our roleplay moment". Comments like those aren't needed when it's not their fault. SRT's job is to prevent global rebel activity and from what I've seen they've been doing a great job at that. They are an integral part of the APD like GD. Without them, rebels could roam free and do drug runs and get away with heavy firepower. This little fight with each other needs to stop immediately. If you have a problem, instead of having an argument with each other, come find me and we'll figure out a solution or talk to each department about it in a civil manner. Warnings have been handed out and more will come and will have an impact on your chance for promotions. TL;DR GD and SRT needs to stop fighting with each other and start working together. Come to me if you have a problem.

Thanks again to the players who kept me thinking on my feet, always hard as a GM to try not railroad the players on utterly destroy them. Though sometimes it is needed. Ensure you check your terrain and look for possible over watch positions up to 2kms away (I'm not saying go and check them all out before you continue but just be aware when snipers hit the target you already have a possible idea where to look, and don't rely on your thermals...) Ensure you read the tasks from the [MAP] [TASK] menu, sometimes they hold vital information. Good luck and I look forward to seeing you in my sights. Some videos of tonight night to follow...

27/05/17 Changes: Recruitable Heli Crew AI skill reduced. Restricted recruitable Heli Crew AI from getting in pilot seats. Added a message that notifies group leader when their AI has been kicked out of pilot seat/Ironside tank. Donors with the Jets DLC have the camo UCAV skin applied when they are in the UAV operator slot. Some minor tweaks. Known Issues: Friendly jets can spontaneously combust when they spawn.

Will you see him again?

I was quite happy with the experience that mission, it was actually really cool to be apart of. The way in which each of the scenarios were creatively designed added some meaning to the game, and presented a much needed change of pace for I&A. Watching how people reacted to the different surprise events was hilarious, quickly going from 'too quiet' to utter chaos on several occasions. Thanks for sticking around until 3am @Rogmantosh, it was awesome..

So i am making this post because we get a lot of posts asking the same thing over an over. From now on, we won't go explaining why we chose to make that decision you will simply be directed here. Q. Hey you guys should add Task Force Radio to the server. It would add a more intense level of realism and increases squad communication by a lot making the experience overall better. A. While yes it would be fun and more realistic to have the Task Force Radio mod on the server. It would need to be a requirement to play because all the correct frequencies would need to be setup. This cannot be done without the modules that come with the mod. You might then suggest to make it an optional mod because yes, that would somewhat work. We tried this in a test with some players and it worked great. But there were problems where players in tanks couldn't communicate with their long range radios to other players because they were using vehicles from opposite factions, eg the Kuma (AAF). There would also be the problem where, some pilots would want to use the mods but others wouldn't. Communication with the pilots would become messed up as some pilots wouldn't be able to hear other pilots. Or the pilots using TFAR would need to be in a different Channel so they can comm with other TFAR users. Q. When are you guys making a Tanoa Invade an Annex? A. We aren't. For the time being. Why? Well the player base for Tanoa I&A is not present in the Oceanic Region. When Tanoa was first Released there was a server on Tanoa for I&A. Most people played it for a day and got bored and went back to Altis. Tanoa is also part of the Apex DLC and a lot of people do not have it as some believe it is not worth for what you get. Getting A Tanoa I&A would also cut out of the playerbase of the Altis I&A server. which decreases the fun for everyone. Q. When are you guys making a modded Invade an Annex? A. The Same Reason we aren't making a Tanoa I&A. because the playerbase for a modded Invade an Annex isn't present in the oceanic region. While yes there would be a somewhat consistent playerbase, many players would return to Vanilla I&A because that's where the rest of the players are. Its not fun flying 2 people back an forwards in a black hawk simply because its a black hawk. Q. Why don't you guys start a milsim/realism group thats like I&A? A. Because we have tried this in the past and it doesn't work. There are plenty of Milsim units around that do the job. If you have Further Questions please contact one of the I&A Staff Below @Fitz @InfamousNova @Rogmantosh @shift597 @Richard @Ora209 @Kyroe @M9' @BridTheAtl

the editor is great for setting up your controls. i get you're a noob but this is a public server. people need transporting at pretty much all times. you couldve said in chat. "hey im sorting out my settings can you give me a minute" and i would say yea but afterwards join ts. but you didnt. i didnt ban you straight away i kicked you first. with the message "pilot not on teamspeak" that would give an indication as to why i kicked you. its not just a problem for me but a problem for other pilots who dont have comms with you and the players on the ground who dont have transport. coming from a 30 year old calling me a hitler.... was not abusing my powers. i was simply kicking you for not being on teamspeak

Alright first of all. i warned you multiple times with the ingame side chat. you say you are 30 yet you make a post like this swearing and everything even resorting to name calling. i kicked you from the slot hoping you would join back and ask why. or even better come on teamspeak. but instead you got into a heli and started flying. i warned you again with no response. you kept flying around. so i banned you for 6 hours. you can put in an unban request. and be a bit more mature about it and ill consider unbanning you. cheers
