    Hi everyone- not sure if anyone from the old crew plays anymore, or if anyone remembers me, but Stalker and I were the founders of AInc. I have been reading and old thread today in which someone asked the question, "what happened to AInc?" After reading some of the replies to the thread, I just want to say I'm sorry. This post doesn't reflect the position of stalker or anyone else in AInc, and is only my personal beliefs. It looks like AInc continued to provide the core moral values that we wished on it after I left- a solid RPing environment and support for all players, new and old. I wish I had kept playing and not left stalker and the others to basically pick up my slack. I got busy with university and struggled to find time to get back to the community and I essentially got burned out. Not sure if anyone even cares at this point, since it's been almost 3 years since AInc's inception. But on the off chance anyone sees this, hopefully I can make it up to you one day. You guys were like family. Having people tell me my RP and the companies RP was the reason they kept playing made me feel like I could actually make a difference. Who knows.     Hi all, I would like to discuss with you our next step for the Life mission. Here we will explain what decisions have been made and why. Firstly, our current life mission is unstable, which is evident by the daily mass kicks and crashes. As I have previously stated, we are not the only server experiencing these issues. Bohemia Interactive has acknowledged this issue and is working with BattlEye on a solution. However, there are still many servers that don’t experience these issues which shows we can fix the problem ourselves, it's just that currently no one knows what the cause is. We have spent most of this year so far trying to clean up and improve systems in the mission but the instability persists, and with other servers experiencing these problems as far back as July last year, we won’t be waiting on BI for a patch. We have a couple of remaining options: Start again: This would involve going back to base Altis Life and slowly adding our features until we are back to our current state, but hopefully without crashes. The problem is we did this at the end of last year, so chances are we would end up right back where we are now. Write our own mission: When I say this I don't mean take base Altis Life and rewrite some things, I mean write our own mission from scratch. It sounds like a time consuming task… and it is, but this will ensure we know everything that is going on in our mission. It will give us the opportunity to have our mission the way we want it, not confined by the limits of the Altis Life framework. After considering these options, we have decided to go with option two. The new mission will be named ‘StrayaLife RPG’. Development on StrayaLife actually started back in January, but as a side project, something for spare time. As the months went on we put more and more work into the Altis Life mission with little to no success on fixing the instability, so at the start of August we froze all future feature development to instead focus our efforts on StrayaLife as it has become a worthwhile endeavour. We have a few main goals for StrayaLife: Stability: This is obviously our first priority. Feature-rich StrayaLife will not launch as an empty/broken mission. We will release with many new features so that StrayaLife is an upgrade from Altis Life, not a replacement. Civilian Purpose: One of the biggest issues with Altis Life is that civilians have no true purpose. We intend on giving civilians the opportunity to choose their own purpose, something to achieve or strive for rather than just playing to get rich with nothing to spend that money on. Replay value: This ties in with the above point. Currently once you get rich you have no reason to play, there is nothing to do after that because you have achieved the only thing there is to achieve. With some of the planned new features we hope to provide some kind of replay value. We will expand on this point more down the line, once we can better illustrate these plans. With all of the above in mind there are a few important things to note: Altis Life: The Altis Life staff team has taken over the ‘development’ of the Altis Life mission, in the sense that they can adjust: shop prices, content, conditions (required online players for example) etc. We do have an update coming with Laws of War which includes the new Ambulance, among other additions like police and civilian Van variants, as well as some changes done by the staff team. StrayaLife: StrayaLife is a long way off, so don’t let this post stop you from playing Altis Life. We are still in the stage of adding key systems, which will be followed by adding smaller features to get us up to the same level as the current Altis Life mission. After that we will be adding various new features before we open the mission up for alpha/beta testing. There is no set release date yet, it is too soon for that. We will provide updates and release screenshots as we progress. Thanks for reading.

    Hey guys, I'll be making Gang Logos for a fee of 1M in-game currency. All you need to do is provide the name of the gang, what you roughly want the logo to look like, and a colour scheme. After that all you need to do is make a unit and attach the logo and it will be in-game for all of your gang to use. Previous Work:

    To be fair i'm sure people are prepared to download mods, they are quick, easy and fun. Only problem i have is navigating and finding all the mods, if we could combine or at least folder the pack together allowing an easy accessible download. Otherwise even a modded pop-up every now and then in the holidays or peak times would be brilliant.

    If we could get some good YT content creators to make serious videos and then had serious moderation going on I think it could work well.

    I think that with new StrayaLife RPG coming up that will bring alot of new players to the Altis/Malden life section of things but in support I often hear people asking if there's any good modded servers in Australia. (Answer being no. Even if there was I wouldn't promote it) So i think there would indeed be some population in the server if the link to the forums is in the title like it currently is for Altis life because I always found that when i found and wanted to play on a modded server they would never have an easy accessable place to go download all the mods required to join the server so I wouldn't bother. Though if we did make a modded server I would prefer personally it to be on a map that's already in Arma (Altis, Malden etc.) as some of the modded maps aren't that fantastic.

    Alternatively Fitz, we make Artillery the only thing people can ever use. No guns, or vehicles. Just mortars.

    @Tungsten Sounds like the best option is to remove artillery altogether I will enable the Artillery Computer next update.

    Anything like a stock market? Where you place money in a company ( Cocaine for example ) however the price can fluctuate a lot more than it currently is. So you buy 32 Cocaine stocks at 8k then you sell at 16k and hence profit, or it could drop and you lose money. idk I think it would be cool @Connor.

    I like these ideas one thing that I would suggest is being able to make commercial building purchases instead of just residential. Obviously this will cost significantly more and it would allow people with big wells of money to sink that money into solid investments to see long term returns.

    We have had these issues since January and there are other servers who have had the same problems since as early as May last year. Clearly we are all doing something wrong but no one has managed to figure out what. We have rewritten most of our mission over this year but the issue still persists so I won't be waiting around tinkering with values hoping someone figures out where we all went wrong, I'm instead going to use the time to build a mission from scratch so we can have a mission to call our own instead of taking the piece of shit that is altis life and adding some skins to it. Am I concerned about the player base running away? Hell fucking yea, but we've already hit a pretty depressing low this year (max of 20 players a night) and I'd rather not see us there again because I chose to sit around looking at a mission I know is 100% garbage.

    Those civs were not executed. Every video has more than one side to it. We had officers on the roof who were being shot at from all sides due to SRT but in particular from the bottom of the ladder and a few officers had already been killed. I had no intention of "executing" those civs. You want to talk about executing? How about the cop who went down the ladder to restrain someone we TASED who gets restrained and shot in the back of the head. When the 2 civs were killed from my perspective there was tear gas fogging the ladder and when I began to take fire I simply returned fire. The civs who died were simply killed in crossfire. Again. I had no intention to kill those civs.
