Evening All, As you may have noticed over the past couple of months, we have received a lot of donations. We are extremely grateful for this and cannot begin to thank you all enough. We are now well on our way to fulfilling one of our dreams - purchasing our very own physical server! This is where we need your help. We are looking to raise a further $2000 towards this goal by June 30th. All donations will count towards this goal. The server we are looking at purchasing will house a single Xeon E-2288G, an 8C/16T processor running at 3.7GHz (Boost to 5.0GHz). This processor is significantly faster than the 7700k’s that it will be replacing. As such, we should see greater performance for existing services and may allow additional room for expansion and community servers. Once we have purchased the new server we can drop 2 of our existing monthly dedicated servers, reducing our monthly running costs significantly. With the rise in player count reaching an all-time high, there are a lot of things that needed to address and discussed. Primarily focusing on the rules for Altis life they're obviously haven't been changed or adapted for a 100+ player Sydney where gangs and retards constantly slam into you with hemmets, vans, and fuel trucks and knock you down without repercussions. "Why don't you take them up?" as a consistent player I want to see straya grow and garner a consistent player base and I personally believe that getting someone banned for a day, week or month severely hinders its ability to grow, so in saying that I believe putting rules forward where it allows players to deal with these situations themselves in-game is the way forward. These rules being. - Knocking someone down is considered a one-way initiation, meaning you are allowed to kill the person who knocked you out. - Sling loading a vehicle is a one-way initiation, meaning the owner of the vehicle and his fellow gang members may shoot the player (attempting to) sling load the vehicle and said player’s gang. - If you’re victim to intentional VDM you may shoot the driver only. This does not allow your gang members to open fire at the vehicle that has VDM’d you. - You're allowed to shoot someone who has lockpicked or stolen your car (You must witness the action, you can't kill someone for driving in your car). - You cannot knock someone out when you're in the animation of pulling out a weapon. - Make you’re able to read gang tags as an official rule. Not a rule in some forum posts none of these new players haven't seen. These are rules on other servers where I believe they improve the quality of life.

Hey Guys, Back on track for more regular updates we bring you altis life 11.6. The core feature of this update is our newly created custom bank system. Instead of the banks being part of the map the banks are now created when the server boots via code. This allows us to create a pool of banks and then select a set of 2 random banks (in addition to pharma, R&D and fed which spawn every restart) from the pool of banks we have built to spawn each restart. In addition we have several fixes and map changes.

There are multiple reasons that make me a valuable member of the APD and deserve a promotion. Firstly, I have experience within the APD. I have been in this APD for a little longer than a year and I have gained a lot of experience throughout this time. I have had the role Sergeant before and know what the role requires. This experience gives me an edge over other applicants. Some may argue although I have the experience, I don't follow protocols due to my recent divisional strike and I admit it, I broke the protocol and deserve it. It was a mistake by me but the divisional strike has benefited me as I can look and use it as a wake-up call. This strike has empowered me to make sure I display all the APD's values, protocols and uphold the police department's reputation. Secondly, I can lead. With much leadership experience from leading many online gaming groups to directing a business teams, I believe I can not just lead but lead well. And lastly, I believe I am a team player. I persevere, persist and try my best to ensure that all members of the APD (not just myself) are upholding what cabinet and command what them to be. As you are likely aware, on the 25/5/19 we implemented a number of changes to the reporting of rule breaches for Altis Life, as can be seen here. As of today we will be updating these to be as follows: You may now initiate a helpdesk report for situations where you are directly involved and may not been seen as a third party. You may still bring in other who are not directly involved to provide evidence or testimony. Being directly involved means that you fit into one of the following categories: Be directly impacted by the incident and did not solely observe an incident. Be reporting an incident which impacts all members, such as illegitimately impacting the server economy through duping/exploiting, hacking/scripting etc. We will also be implementing a time limitation to the use of evidence in a helpdesk report. Any evidence for a report must be submitted within 3 days of the issue occurring for it to be considered valid and current. Any evidence submitted after this time will not be considered without extenuating circumstances

Hello Everyone! We are excited to announce that StrayaGaming is officially adding our Rust server as full and permanent fixture in our service line-up. Rust is an exciting prospect for us as we've seen the server grow from the ground up, starting as a small popup requested by a few people to a full project and now to a full service. Especially impressive was the slow organic growth of the server from very humble beginnings, and over the past 6 months has slowly but surely accumulated a player-base, and then in the last month the numbers have very rapidly exploded. At present the server slot count is 80 but if we see the server reaching this cap we are more than open to expanding the slot count to accommodate our player-base. Given his major position driving the direction and development of the rust server @iamjack will be taking the administrator role as well as being the primary point of contact for any technical or core gameplay issues on the server. We are however on the lookout for a handful of moderators to assist him and help deal with in game issues that may arise, and as such we now also have staff applications open on our forums for this position. We are always looking for dedicated enthusiastic staff to help moderate and influence the direction of the server. For those interested, the staff application form can be found here. I would like to thank @iamjack, @Asnee and @Mitchin particular for all their work in both running and administrating the server and helping nurture its progress to a full service. Changes to the armour meta Today we have fast tracked some changes into the content patch set to go live at 3pm with hopes that it will reduce the overall use of armoured vehicles on the server while promoting other vehicles and foot combat. With the BI patch to Ifrits shortly after the wipe and the removal of the door animation along with player concern, we feel now is the time to push for change as the armour on armour meta has existed for too long, has grown stale and delivers bad combat. Changes Striders added back and to become the primary rebel vehicle moving them away from the overuse of Ifrits. Ifrits are now priced at 3m for police and 4m for rebel. Slight price increase to Strider/Hunters. Drastically increased fuel consumption for all MRAPS. Increased chop prices of all MRAPS This will be a 2 week trial, everything listed on this post is subject to change. The initial phase is to see how striders hold up as they are an overall weaker vehicle (in both damage resistance and speed). We don't want to remove armoured vehicles, they are both an integral part of gameplay for police and rebel factions, current Ifrit prices are to promote the use of Strider over Ifrit (we are NOT wiping Ifrits from garages), After 2 weeks we will reassess and make changes based on feedback. (50 Words min) I was a experienced STG, I have been promoted senior constable and STG in Brisbane department & detective back in 2018, i have been doing my cop duty actively and never left the cop force, i was overloaded with detective work when i took over medic COM position while working hard trying to bring medic force alive and i quited detective and back to GD as a STG. i have been doing GD STG work for months with 0 discipline record back in cop and server. The reason i got demoted back to sen con is because i return back to detective when detective desperately need some new member and i don't have the heavy workload like what i have when i just got my COM position. The demotion was require when you join a division , which is unfair because i didn't got my Stg from GD but within division....anyway it wasn't a disciplinary demotion. But yeah my past service as Stg and my activities on server should proof that i am a a good stg material. i know i know , i am not very keen on being CO due to language and communication, but however i have been actively taking drone position which is a position supporting CO at GD and major robbery, i will still take CO when there is no officer available , and the drone proven information always help GD and Robbery since they can get real time and most up to date information where CO can't provide. I never hide my disadvantage , i am not pro as being CO, but it shouldn't be the barrier for my promotion since i have other advantages and which should out weighted my disadvantage. With my experience in the Altis Police Department that is amount upwards of past a year now, I've learned and mastered how to CO both General Duties and in Operations. As there has been an increase of officers joining the department, I've noticed a lack of Sergeants taking CO of Operations, leaving majors unsupervised with channels of Constables and Recruits unsure on how to push banks. I wish to use my experience and knowledge to the best of my abilities and to the interest of the APD and it's officers. Hello everybody, as you have probably been made aware by the title, I am going to take the time today to give my input into what I believe the server needs in order to draw back old players and gain new ones. The information I am going to produce in this 'letter' (if you will) has been sourced from my own in game experiences as well as recent discord discussions involving current and active players as well as management and development staff. The first issue that I feel I should comment on is the recent comparison between Olympus and Straya, specifically the guns portion of it. One thing people need to understand is that straya is.. or at least WAS a unique altis life server. It had it's own set of rules and regulations that differed it from the likes of Olympus and even direct competitors like darkside. Straya was straya because it gave players the opportunity to use bigger and better weaponry but at the same time made said weaponry relatively hard to obtain. Anybody who says that it's not fun to use a navid and spray people down like Johnny Sins standing in front of Madison Ivy is lying. Obviously being obliterated by a 9.3mm LMG is not fun, but it gives dedicated players the incentive to put in effort and grind to obtain the same weaponry so that they aren't humiliated again. Also, it's unfortunate but Straya just isn't capable of competing with Olympus.. period. The US servers have so many more players which makes it nearly impossible to get similar numbers. That's why instead of trying to copy Olympus' style, straya should try to become unique again by adding those weapons back in. The second issue I would like to touch on is the fact that legal runs (rather than illegal runs) are now more profitable for both rebels and civilians. Yes, gems do give players a reason to get on and grind for many hours and yes that does increase population. But it's ****ing boring. Nobody actually wants to sit there for hours clicking windows key to get a bit of fake currency just to go to the same old fight at capture points. Nobody. Instead, people want diversity. There is always going to be a meta, and people will quickly learn what that meta is and start to follow it. However, the current meta needs to change and I will tell you why. Fun. That's the reason. People want to have fun, and I hate to break it to you but not many people are having fun at the moment. Having gang fights at illegal dealer was fun. Yes, uranium was the most overused run for REBELS because rebels were the only people who could afford the risk of doing a uranium run. That's how it should be. Civilians should not be able to make as much money as rebels, plain and simple. Just like in the real world Jimmy from down the street isn't making as much money as Pablo Escobar, but at the same time Jimmy isn't risking death or arrest. This idea may be referred to as being 'unfair' or 'biased' against civs but it's important to understand the definition of civilian in regards to Altis Life. Civs are those people who don't wish to part take in gang or rebel activities but at the same time don't wish to be apart of the EMS or APD. Why on earth does somebody who fits that description need more money than a rebel who needs to purchase equipment and gear as a means of survival. Think about it. Next, I want to talk about the economy. As I tried to explain in that last paragraph, uranium and drug runs should be a rebel or cartel members highest source of income. It should be the activity that dedicated and active players attempt to complete in order to attain large amounts of money. The only issue with this is the exact amount of money that can be made from each run. I am not sure exactly how the economy stands at the moment because I am just coming back from a much needed 'vacation' but I will say that Uranium in it's prime was way too easy. I don't have stats but it was the only run that people were doing because it was the best run BY FAR. I personally believe that Uranium should be the best and most profitable run, but it should also be the highest risk run. A high risk, high reward system is essential in creating a balanced economy. Uranium should be the highest risk but also the highest reward, followed by drug runs and then obviously gem runs for civilians. Besides pricing, nothing needs to change. Uranium can be sold at illegal dealer which is a KOS zone and therefore numbers and firepower is needed to secure each run, drugs must be processed and then sold which can be camped at all times by anybody and then gem runs will be the same as drug runs but obviously it will be less likely that somebody is camping those because most if not all rebels (ie the people who would usually camp) will be camping the higher profit runs like illegal and drug dealer. Maybe discuss prices with the community team, as far as I'm aware the community team has a good understanding of the server and can assist in getting prices right. Those are the main issues I see at the moment. The content is there, capture points ARE fun fights but all we need is a bit of diversity. Illegal dealer can bring that diversity.
