Fair point, but I think it'll be good for the rebel climate. Hopefully some of the more active gangs take the bases.

This is a very contentious topic and I still believe that further clarification is needed for this rule. The questions I would ask the moderation staff are:

Why is the Sting 9mm not included with the PDW2000 & Protector 9mm?

If you kill a cop and they have say a Spar-16, are you then permitted to use that weapon in city limits? Only in that current declaration? Not at all?

AL Moderators and Admin, your thoughts?

Thanks for taking the time to respond Excel, it's great to hear your valuable input.

I certainly think something like the news bulletin would help to keep the community updated and engaged with all that's happening.  I'll float the idea around and get back to you in regards to those headers

100% agree with @Kat.'s suggestions. I would also:

• Be assertive at all times, to all ranks. (If someone of a higher rank does not want to take CO, then they should be listening to you)
• Ensure that you are across all developing situations, and coordinate personnel accordingly. (Ask for updates on situations, do they need assistance?)
• Know when to pull back. (If a situation gets out of hand and you don't have the personnel numbers to gain a favorable outcome, pull back and RTB.)
• Demand clear communication. (Nothing could be more annoying then a TS channel with 15 people talking over each other. Demand clear communication and appropriate use of the 10-codes)

When I ran the Qwerty Contracting Group, we were given the green light to go after a gang base... I also believe that VA, FSFG and BRF had also expressed interest in acquiring a base.

There are some great suggestions in there, and for the most part I agree with your post.

How I see it, there are endless opportunities for civilians that don't involve massacring cops in Sydney, you simply need to make it. This is a role-play server where for the most part you can craft your own story. If you want to see buses, airlines, security personnel etc. the civilians need to have the motivation and the know-how to make it.

Groups and systems need maintenance. Unless someone is willing to dedicate time to ensure their survival, chances are there will be few quality role-playing groups. This is one of the reasons why we saw the judicial system close as well as 3-4 major contracting groups.

That all being said, I too would like to see the amount of quality role-play increase. However, it will only happen if community members such as yourself take some initiative; not the Altis Life Staff Team.

@Woolie I suggest you have a chat to @_ewan.b. He has many made of the Altis Life Group skins, and is currently the only active member of the Straya Graphics Team.

I'm sure he would be able to whip up something for you

There are some excellent suggestions coming out of this thread folks, many of which could make a significant impact on the quality of the Altis Life server.

@Lzybum I believe the destroyer is a static object. Would be nice to maybe pair the destroyer with the aircraft carrier somewhere at the top of the map as a second base. Could be interesting.

@nclem he is indeed referring to a naval destroyer. 

@Kat. does make a good point. Breaking a rule yourself is not going to help your case.

That being said, I can understand your frustration regarding the situation and alternate course of action. Waiting in HD for 30 minutes for someone else's rule break is a huge waste of time and often produces poor results. 

In regards to your comment about the quality of role-play on the server, I can sympathize with you. Unfortunately nowadays the only "role-play" that occurs is banks, hostage situations and gun fights. Cops want frags just as much as Rebels want frags. Neither is better than the other. Hopefully with the upcoming server wipe we will see a noticeable shift away from the current mentality the community has, to one of optimism and a "let's give it a go" mindset. 

I encourage you to come and talk to AL Staff or AL Community Team Members and let us know what you like, what you dislike and what we can do to improve your experience. What we don't know, we cannot fix!
