In regards to the new protocol 3.13 - Officers on General Duties must carry a primary firearm with the corresponding knockdown rounds, this seems to raise the minimum rank for a PolAir sidegunner to Senior Constable as Constables do not have access to purchase 5.56mm knockdown rounds. This is an issue because Constables can only purchase 9mm knockdown rounds which is impractical for side gunning and there may not always be an available Senior Constable to perform the task. Could we maybe look at making an exemption to the new protocol for PolAir?
