    We would love to welcome you to our latest release of StrayaGaming A3 Wasteland!

    The most exciting news is the overhaul of our supporter menu.

    There are numerous large changes so take a few minutes to read the change log and provide feedback below.

    Change Log:

    • Added:
      • New Base Building parts.
      • Art of War Clothing/Gear.
      • Underwater Missions are back!
      • Staircase to USS Freedom (No longer will you get stuck in the water below).
      • Overhaul to Donator/Supporter area. Supporters will now earn 1 Token every 4 player kills, or 40 AI Kills. Supporters also have access to many more vehicle skins than non-supporters.
      • Pawnee (AA) Variant.
    • Modified:
      • Static emplacements (Including UAV AA) has a lower re-arm cost (now 25%).
      • Static AA costs have been lowered significantly.
      • Mission drawn lines begin at 50m. (No more searching 100m radius for one infantryman).
      • Base parts may be locked closer to stores, you can fortify and hold stores now.
      • Different territory captures will earn you different income.
      • Player spawn load outs tweaked for token upgrades.
      • AI Units will spawn with consistent load outs.
      • Token cost for storage upgrades lowered to 10.
      • Several custom skins for vehicles moved to supporter only.
      • Player menu colour scheme changed to Olive.
    • Bug Fixes: 
      • Abandoned Jet mission now spawns good jets with working weapons.
      • White mission crate fixed, now provides correct weapons/gear rather than default crate load out.

      • New Jet Loadouts, Balanced for all play styles!
      • New Heli and VTOL Loadouts, with and without token options.
      • All A3 Jets DLC Turrets, Including the Praetorian CWIS! (Turret prices and availability subject to change in the future).
      • Artillery Vehicles such as the Blufor Scorcher, the Opfor Sochor, and the Indi Zamak MRLS! (No Mine or Cluster Shells included).
      • Re-introduced Roadblock Side-Missions!
      • Added 5 more re-arm trucks around the map.
      • Added a New Aircraft Carrier.
      • Added the fan favourite CAPE COD!
      • Added a 50% refund for tokens when selling a token vehicle.

      • Token Costs reduced for most vehicles.

      • Territory capture time reduced to 4 minutes.
      • Minor Map edits for aesthetics.
      • Malden Military Base given a face-lift.
      • Vehicles spawn unlocked when purchased.
      • Hackers Mission gives $50'000 when there are nil enemy players connected.
      • Increased side mission spawn count.
      • Thermal Imaging enabled on large drones. (Nil TI on Darters).
      • Convoy Routes added and existing routes adjusted.
      • Balanced spawn ratio of money shipments; More of the easier shipments and less super heavy spam.
      • Moderators may now access Zeus when given access by Senior Staff to assist with Events.
      • Heavy Turrets set to Tow only, Nil loading into vehicles.
      • Abandoned Vehicle Missions may provide unique vehicle variants unable to be purchased.
      • Dynamic Weather Wind lowered, Smoke should work a lot better now.
      • Thermal Equipment for infantry lowered in price drastically for balance.
      • Other Miscellaneous re-pricing.
    • Bug Fixes: 
      • Token System repaired and operational! Use the Player Menu to upgrade your spawn gear!
      • Salvaging Token Vehicles no longer causes a 'Cancel Action' Bug.
      • Bounty System repaired, No longer causes losses to your bank balance.

    From early Saturday morning we will be changing from our beloved Stratis to Malden.

    A majority of the content will remain the same, with small edits made to accommodate the map change.

  7. Wasteland Update 7.0

    Back to Basics.


    This update contains a plethora of changes to the core functions of the game mode; this includes massive map changes, a store price overhaul, and several changes to player loadouts. See more in the full change log below.

     

    Principal Additions and Changes:

    • All Items in all stores have been re-priced to an appropriate price.
    • Several new custom vehicles added to vehicle store.
    • Gun only jets re-introduced.
    • Territory Capturing will be quicker for each player capturing.
    • Voice Chat for Side Channel has been enabled for BLUFOR/OPFOR.
    • AI Handicap lowered (You'll find it easier to kill AI vehicles now).
    • Night time cycle sped up.
    • Spawn with $3000.
    • Mission Crate content updated.
    • Role Specific spawn loadouts added. E.g. Riflemen will have a better rifle than a medic, Snipers will spawn with a marksman rifle.
    • Numerous changes to map layout.
    • More ATMs added to map.
    • Drone Loadouts revised.
    • Carrier moved to Deep water in the north eastern sea.

    Modifications and Tweaks:

    • Tactical Pings now appear on the map.
    • Repelling removed.
    • Territory capture rate refreshes every 5 seconds.
    • Coastal patrols spawn less and over ocean not land.
    • Helicopter missions made less frequent.
    • Maximum active missions changed to 4.
    • Reduced Mortar Rearm cost.
    • Reduced Lockpick, Salvage, and Portable Quadbike time.
    • Demining Drone removed.
    • Teambalancing no longer locks you to enemy team.
    • AI less likely to hold AA launchers.
    • Underbarrel Yellow smoke causes toxic effects.
    • Smoke dischargers may be used by vehicle drivers and gunners.
    • Explosives may now be placed up to 30m from stores.
    • UI Colour changed to keep things looking fresh.
    • Sniper Crates more frequent from military missions.
    • Flatten grass script added.
    • Cape Cod is a spawnable town.
    • Loading Image and intro song changed.
    • Veterans will have a tag next to their name on the scoreboard
    • Donators receive a new colour name on the Scoreboard.
    • Staff may be identified by a unique scoreboard name colour.

    Bug Fixes:

    • OP Helmets provide Gas Mask Properties.
    • On respawn, Sidearms and Designators are loaded.
    • Duplicate Scripts removed from Mission File.
    • Hackers mission fixed.

    Coming from a balancing perspective, if you are running an RHS event, remove all vanilla weapons, uniforms, armour sets and vehicles. The base Arma 3 stuff is far superior to RHS in just about every way; the armour is more tanky, most weapons will do a lot more damage than their contemporaries (SPAR-16 vs HK416 for example) and are easier to handle, most vehicles are more mobile, have heavier-hitting weapons and fire quicker unless you have a loader (for tanks anyway).

    On a more positive side, I would personally love modded Wasteland.

    In the spirit of appeasing the community and maintaining a constant addition of content I would like to open a discussion regarding the future of StrayaGaming Wasteland.

    Over the previous few weeks I have developed and refined an event version of our Wasteland Mission to include content introduced by the RHSUSAF, RHSAFRF and RHSGREF Mods; however I have no intention of activating this mission file without a positive response from the community. To be clear these will not be a permanent introduction; more of a once-monthly event weekend or whenever requested by the community.

    Here is your chance to provide feedback regarding the implementation of the ability to host an event week (or weekend) that incorporates the RHS Mod Sets into the Wasteland we know and love today.

    Please let me know if you would like the mods added, and to what degree (Only weapons, Weapons + Vehicles, Replace vanilla content with RHS Only, etc.)

  11. Sorry to revive an old topic;

    50 AI kills now provide tokens. Is this a feature that players are finding beneficial? are there further tweaks to be considered? is it an appropriate amount of AI kills per token?

     

    Would love to see some community input for this.

    In an effort to combat FPS Drops, we are implementing an increase in scheduled restarts from 12-hourly to 8-hourly.

    The Scheduled restarts will be made at 0000hrs AEST, 0800hrs AEST, and 1600hrs AEST.

    These changes will take place from 12th May 2020.

    The Wasteland Staff team has reviewed the requirements to become a Wasteland Veteran; leaving the following prerequisites:

    • You must obtain 500 Player Kills.
    • You must obtain 2000 AI Kills.
    • You must obtain 200 Captures or Revives (Total cumulative)
    • You must have 500 hours of playtime on the server.

  14. Wasteland Update Patch 6.1

    FPS Fixes and Store UI Facelift.

    Included in this Patch will be a 50% off week. Active until 6/5/2020

     

    This update contains a few minor changes to the map layout to increase players FPS,  Several UI changes to Vehicle and Gun Stores, and several changes to AI loadouts. See more in the full change log below.

     

    Principle Additions and Changes:

    • Vehicle Store UI Changed to allow greater control over vehicle aesthetics.
    • Gun Store UI changed to filter accessories available for equipped weapons.
    • Vehicle Store added to Agios Loannis.
    • Agios Cephas Gun Store moved to LZ Connor.
    • AI now spawn with a wider range of loadouts.
    • Truck Convoys and Armed Convoys may now spawn with faction specific vehicles rather than just the offroad.
    • New Vehicles added to the list of randomly spawned vehicles.
    • Kill Farm Bay General Store design changed.
    • Stratis Bay Gun Store design changed.
    • Number of spawned entities reduced to improve FPS.

    Modifications and Tweaks:

    • View Distance Quality feature limited to 20 to prevent seeing through mountains or toggling grass.
    • Store AI have updated outfits.
    • Numerous useless map entities removed to improve FPS.
    • APR Masks now prevent toxic gas effects.

    Bug Fixes:

    • Players on Independent and OPFOR now spawn with the correct UAV terminals.
