Hope that chat happens soon - the mass crafting means that we cops needed to have access to raid ASAP!

@Subnoize The reasons for Constables not having 7.62s that I can see are: 1. They are still new to the force and thus are still learning. Giving them a bigger gun will not do much. 2. An MX or MXM is a better rifle for a GD Constable as it has 30 rounds (unlike many 7.62) and as rebels using 7.62s are not all that common during GD it would be overkill. 3. All weapons which the cops use should be silenced, the 7.62 suppressors have a high "black market" price. Giving rebels easier access to 7.62 sups can only aid them at bank etc in the long run. As for the Cyrus being given to Sgts, the Sgts have access to MXMs for longer range and the Spar16s which is very good at taking out tires. It should be noted that Sgts+ before the new server had access to much more powerful guns to the likes of GD sgts having access to Lynxs and a full range of 7.62 weapons. To the people who are asking for a level playing field - you have had it since the start of the rebuild. For those who don't like the fact that cops can just by a LMG from the store you should note at they are only available to a small number who face strong rules about the use of them and face stronger disciplinary actions for the miss use of them. - - - - - In regards to the PD raiding houses - Only SRT or ASIO would undertake such tasks and for them to do so they need to supply evidence to the QC or higher in order to receive a warrant for the raid. As LuckySOB said if you all as rebels want to have a black market for guns then don't repeatedly raid the small number of people who have tried to start one up. Remember to be smart in your actions. EG: don't be seen gathering the metals etc for a weapon, pay someone to get them for you or EG: don't reply to people on side about gun sales. If you need protection then strike a deal with a gang. They protect you and you give them a share of the guns/ money you make. - - - - All in all remember that cops die a lot too if not more that most rebels or civs and a GD cops load out at Sgt is easily over 100k just for the basics. - - - As far as bank etc goes a weapons dealer and more weapons smartly hidden/ guarded can only only add to the action and risk of such act. Again be smart in your actions, if you do a bank or a run have some one watch over your house etc.

My point still stands that an officer signing on for duty would and/ or could be tasked with responding to the said incidence. It is only fair so that all members of the community have the same opportunity for game play. By the end of the day this issue is given life time and time again. The current system is not so much as broken as it is not like by all, which is to be expected with all comments and discussions made by someone else. That is not having a go at you as a person but it is fair to say that system is not broken you just don't take fancy to it. In regards to the TAG comments see you inbox.
  11. By your own admission you have a negative mindset toward cop. Any argument over cop and rebel issues is pointless and would not end between us. Cop has change form when we got whitelisted - over 3 different command teams each with its own heading and ideas been put in place. It is not an major issue in the big picture of things and yes I agree that this thread has become off topic largely due to your comments, along with you childish ways of replying.

@Spetsnaz AKA Andrew Firstly, I will remind you that the server of question is of a Role Play nature and thus the rules are shaped around "real life" as much as possible. Secondly, a Police Department in real life, as a government entity will have greater access to resources that a "standard" opposing organization, such as you rebel gang NIG. This is replaced in the ability to easily access large, more powerful weapons and weapon systems. Also alined with "real life" PDs not all officers have access to weapons such as the Lynx and other high powered systems. For us it is only SRT Snipers and some high command ranks. This has changed under the Commissioner @vizzN. Before him and his hard work to level the odds, to may officers displeasure he had many rifles etc removed from many rank in which we have the most officers posted to. Asking to limit the already limited assets is 1. the way a young kid acts after lossing to someone in a race he already had a head start on and 2. shows a lack of research prior to make that topic, thus making a weak argument. Also in regards to robbing Fed, if you rob something of the same level or with the same amount of value and with the same type of weapons in Australia the issue would be handed off to TAG East or TAG West. TAG or Tactical Assault Group East/ West are military anti terrorism and tactical assault teams made up of in the East the Army's 2rd Commando Regiment along with support from the Navy's Clearance Divers (Australias version of SEALs) and for the West it is made up of the Army's Special Air Service Regiment. So again all the force used is logical. Also just so you know the escalation graph used by the cops is subject to admin approval, which it has. Thirdly, the issue of officers or rebels join the fight after the bank or fed has been started is valid and follows with commonsense! In a "real life" PD officers who would not have start his or her shift at the time of the start of a bank robbery would not just leave it and not respond - doing that would not be logical. Same with rebels, if you are in a gang in "real life" and you see on the news for example that your boys had in s**t with the cops you would go help. (The server rules allow for you to stay and fight after the person on teller is killed IF you still have gang members in the bank compound/ area) Fourthly, in regards to the times which banks take, a bank is a stand off situation. Both sides have good reasons to stay and fight, cops protect the peoples and governments money and assets and for rebels to gain a monetary advantage over others. This stands for in game and in "real life". If you did not like the amount of time a bank takes or you don't have the time for one to blow out in time, simply don't start one or if you get in to one and feel it has gone over the "right" amount of time, message the cops to start negotiations and have some good old role play. Finally, I don't think you have made any majorly meaningful points and have only restarted an older discussion on the same topic. It didn't happen then and with the changes to the police under Vizzn I don't see it happening anytime soon! Regards, Mitch
  13. @Connor_McGregor123 It only becomes a "hassle" in helpdesk if ramming is not allowed. Regardless helpdesk is not a "hassle" if you do the right thing by the people who work in it to help you with any issues you have. In regard to the intense part, if you are being chased by the police and you know that they could pull off a pit move on you/your vehicle at anytime it does make it more intense. It is an need dynamic which you must worry about and take care in avoiding. As for the cop side of it, if you are a rebel you can easily run back to Rebell 1 uncontested by police as they can't ram. It allows for great chases and then the possibility for RP if the criminal is stopped.
  14. Ramming can work - just as long as the rule states that "heavy vehicles i.e. Striders, Hunter, trucks CANNOT ram light vehicles i.e all helis & boats, SUVs, Hatchbacks. Ramming can only be established if it is light vehicle against light vehicle or heavy against heavy." The mods/ admins would need to list and give a classification to all vehicles in the game to stop people using wording as a "loop-hole" in the rules i.e. My car is not listed as a heavy vehicle etc. The rules would also have to work with all and any commonsense and VLR rules - but it would be great to see the change back to ramming under the right rules and word of said rules. @Leopard what do you thing?

@Leopard - see the red text. If this is the case then show it - more than once have staff been part of the trolls at the gate of and in PD. This issue is not in anyway limited to life staff - members with Zeus have used it to troll! Other times staff have used other powers to troll - it is not fitting of a community trying to rise to the top with a new server! You can NOT make the clam staff are in anyway capable when they are the ones trolling. Yes it is not all staff but as a team if one staff member trolls the whole team is let down and that is the image they take on. It would be great to see this fixed before the new year! @LuckyB33f - You have been tagged in this post as it is an issue which you as the "team leader" it reflects on the most although you do a great job it takes away from the positives.

The "air lock" has positives and negatives. Positives: - Greater interaction with civs and the like. - A place for visitors to park Negatives - It promotes trolls - This troll issue has lead to the closing of boom gates on cars leaving and entering the PD, blowing them up - The repeated breaking of VLR - Civ stand in the way of cars entering and leaving PD (they don't move and promote the running over of civs) Fixes - Move the "No entry" sign to the 1st gate and reword it to state that no pedestrian traffic may enter - Give more space to the parking area so that the two gates cannot be opened and closed by the same car passing in the "air lock" - Fix for the VLR: Create a kiosk for civ to come to which an officer can talk to them and not have to always move to cars etc. The kiosk could be on the in the same area as the car pack and use Arma 3 food kiosk like on the one found at the Syd pier. Thank you @ExcelForce for all the time you have put in to the map. @vizzN

@Connor. I am SRT level 3, and Snr Sgt so level 5 (general cop whitelisting) and cannot access the lockers. I can open it but it does not show any items in my inventory, thus I cannot store anything.
  19. Mitch

When will the locker system be fixed? It only works for a hand full of people? Any trick I am missing to get it to work?

Smokey, Thank you for everything. You have been an amazing person to work with in cop and are an all round great guy. You will be missed. All goods things must come to an end... Regards, Mitch

FROM A COPS POINT OF VIEW: (Its my point of view and I don't speak for all cops) WALLS FOR SYD PD: A wall at the top of processing and a fix of the wall next to the PD harbour (so no civs can run around the "glitched" wall). SAD: Greater SAD capabilities. Possibility could be enhanced by forcing the storage of items in houses not in cars etc thus giving more "high value" targets to raid. SKINS: New skins for all cars. i.e a supervisor and highway hatchback skins. Keep the the red and red/ white SUV skin and create some more. POLICE DOGS: Would be nice to see them come back. POLICE LOCKERS: (Linking in to the SAD changes if vehicle storage is/was removed) Create a locker system, all weapons etc would be stored in "lockers". Using cars for weapon storage is not practical when a quick response to the bank etc. The locker would be access by a new NPC to the store and each locker would cost 10K to 25K. All of the points above I see as coming in later down the road. (In the middle of development) SIDE POINTS: CITY LIMITS: Move City Limits BACK past Peaches field (SYD) - Create city limits signs making it clear for everyone.
