    Hi all, I played tons this wipe on Wasteland as ‘Error: No unit’ and all my money is collecting dust. I won’t be playing for awhile so I’ve decided to give it all away. Ive already donated 3 million today to everyone on the server at the time. This giveaway is for $2,000,000. It isn’t a raffle, I’ll select the winner this Friday (17/08/18) at 1800.     @James32 The creation of tokens to encourage infantry gameplay is great however the use of said token on restricted armed vehicles isnt appealing to all. A proposed idea discussed by players is for permanent minor upgrades to spawn loadout purchased with tokens. These minor upgrades would solely involve weapons such as rook and pdw instead of the 45acp pistol. It would make the tokens more useful and encourage more dedication. Could be implemented within player menu to redeem loadout. Tier I (15 tokens) - Rook pistol Tier II (25 tokens) -Suppressed Rook Tier III (35 tokens) -PDW Tier IV (45 tokens) -Suppressed PDW **Wasteland Veterans (WV) could be rewarded with 15+ token bonus as incentive to become a vet.

    There are currently 4 roles. Engineer, Combat lifesaver, Assaultdiver ,Sniper. all with special traits and starting items. I would like to have a Mercenary role where any team Blufor Opfor Inde. can pay you to kill or complete certain objectives, for examples. Someone were to hire a mercenary for 70K to buy a Wipeout and complete the heavy Moneyshipment and other objectives while also giving 10% cuts on them. Someone were to hire a mercenary to take out a certain tank or jet. they would pay about 12k for the AA or AT. or even pay them for the jet or heli they would use to take them out Someone were to hire a Mercenary to kill a specific player. they would pay 30k and tell the last known position of the player. This is just a small idea, my friend and i like to fly jets n shit but we have no one to fly them for but ourselves. which does get boring if we do an objective because we can't secure the money/object.
  8. Welcome all, most of you have probably seen me in game before, but here I am making my first appearance on the forums. Now to the subject at hand, Wasteland now has a new version 1.4 with added features and fixes listed below. [Added] - Laws of War DLC [Added] - Killfeed HUD [Added] - Para drop System [Added] - Bounty System [Added] - New Mission types [Changed] - Improved revive system [Changed] - Improved kill attribution [Changed] - Improved antihack [Fixed] - Prone reload freeze [Fixed] - Many minor changes and fixes [Fixed] - Eating and Drinking animations I've spoken to @Unit_3397 @Dak Commstar & @James32 about updating to the newest version and all are totally on board with this, so expect some changes to come in the following weeks. Now I'd like to know if you as a community would like to see these updates on Stratis or on Malden, I know many of you really enjoy Stratis because it is a really great map but my concern was the new bounty system and how that would play out on such a small map like Stratis. Also the Para drop system allows you to call in supply crates after a particular time (Lets say every 30 minutes) these supply crates will most likely cost more then the shop for obvious reasons, also vehicles can be dropped too and would clearly be much more expensive then buying from the store. Below I'll list a pros and cons for the two maps. Stratis Pros - Better performance due to less buildings and simulated objects on the map - Easier to get around and get to stores - Allows for more custom towns and buildings (at the cost of performance) Cons - The map can feel a little to small sometimes, often times spawning beside other players and getting killed - Missions finished rather quickly when on high population, the smaller map size reduces the time needed to gear and get to a mission - Little to no base building imo due to map size (I could be wrong on this and people just don't like building bases) Malden Pros - Bigger map allows for a more dynamic game - More options for base building and hiding crates (something people rarely do now) - A better map for Jets and people on the ground allowing Jets more freedom (Dog fights) and units more safety on the ground due to the map being bigger - Map size and elevation allows for a more long term game, with setting up plans and stockpiles (something I seen a lot more when we had Malden) Cons - More of a performance hit due to more buildings and simulated objects (we might have a fix for removing objects not needed therefore allowing a bigger fps boost) - Not much room for building custom towns and areas (not really need imo) - Feels rather big when there are <20 people online I would love to hear everyone opinion on this topic, and try to think of it in a long term sense as a lot of work goes into swapping maps and updating the base Wasteland.   9. Upon creation of our clan 'Wasteland Rebels [WR]' in Altis life, official recognition was seen to be required. This is what followed: Roleplay backstory of the group: Born in the highlands of Stratis, our clan was founded by High Chief Mozkelby as the last hope of our people to defend against the altis invasion of 482 BC. The blood trials commenced, each member was inducted through three simple tasks ; scam a man, rob a man, kill a man. Following the fall of Chief Links reign during the mortar era, a secret council was held. Three men; Warlord Invictiis, High Priest Lazy & Druglord Nunny were chosen to establish a safe haven for wasteland citizens to prosper our premium grade product, expand our presence within our new home and unite both lands with our superior ideology.   10. Thanks to all opfor who participated in last nights on-the-spot event (2:am to 4:am). For those wondering what was going on, it was an event idea that happened pretty much as soon as we (opfor) took Jack Killerado (Independent Player) hostage. We had him locked up in the airbase gun store and challenged his friends to rescue him. To up the anti, we called Jack's ensurance company to see if they were willing to offer a payout and $20,000 was arranged. As the announcements rolled for the reward for his rescue, so did the numbers until, while a Bluefor tank pounded the store with HE shells the final call came through for $160,000. At this point Jack was begging us to stop spoon-feeding him money . With the HVT marker on the map, players from both independent and Bluefor relentlessly attacked the gun store. Jack Killerado was now in danger from simply being shelled out of the little box house we had him in. Opfor decided to move Jack to an ATM, where he would be forced to part ways with most of his life insurance (Keeping a hefty amount himself) with the opfor players involved. As soon as the last HE shell dropped onto the store, We moved Jack into the open, straight up the hill towards the Old Outpost ATM. As soon as we stepped foot over the top of the hill, that's where everything went south. one titan missile, right into Jack's face. We then proceeded to revive train, failing each time to another titan missile until EVERY opfor player somehow managed to die XD. At that point it was a mad scramble for the money. The Goodnight Clan was hot on the cash, picking it up and that of the fallen Opfor players. The amount was raised up to $222,000 from the carnage. The Goodnight member began to flee towards the ATM only to be killed by Jack himself, returned to claim his insurance money. Shortly after another titan missile the money was up for grabs again. While opfor regrouped the money traveled south on a new HVT, where we presume it was split between the members of an independent group who fled the area. There was a hunt through the forest with players hunting anyone who even approached an ATM. The killing continued for a while until it was announced that the money had been banked. Poor Jack was left to fill out insurance forms and everyone went back to camping and such (or to sleep as it had reached 4 AM Melbourne time). I'd like to thank all the opfor players who participated in the event and most importantly, poor Jack Killerado who spent the first half locked inside a building as a prisoner. We had originally planned to keep him there until players actually began attempting to rescue him. He had every opportunity to log off with $160,000 but for some silly reason chose to just run with the crazy escort mission idea I had instead XD. Hopefully this gives us something new we can do with Team Stacking, having events that attract players on all teams to a large prize with an objective in mind.     Hi all. I will be using this as my masterpost for the terrain suggestions I have for the server. I'll be uploading 'Presentation Posts' for the ideas I have about new terrain for the Wasteland map. These posts will focus on each different area such as towns, stores and well known locations, showcasing the ideas I have created in the Eden editor. I have the map file, but I don't want to upload it just yet as I am still refining on the ideas I have. Also I haven't figured out a way to do it without the workshop yet so if anyone has suggestions as to how to do that it'd be great :). Also these are specifically TERRAIN ideas only. I have no clue on script implementation yet so if the map file is eventually shared, it will be without script, just terrain to explore. Looking forwards to feedback and other terrain ideas. cheers (btw I'm not the map editor, just a player with ideas)

    Hi all. I wanted to post up some terrain ideas for the wasteland map. This idea is about having an event area for the server. Out in a corner of the map, this floating platform would be a competition area, reachable by boat, amphibious vehicle or helicopter. With one to three different arenas an admin could host close quarters competitions or players could host games themselves on the platform. The area would act as a kind of neutral zone ('we won't kill you if we win' XD); players not in the arenas can observe from a tower down on to the competitors and make bets ect (player interaction).

  14. Gooooood Evening gentleman and gentleWoooman. Mr. Snow Leopard; I have created this thread today to discuss something I have had in mind for a week or two. I am interested in creating, essentially a Wasteland gang, or unit. In game, we would just be a independent group, but I plan on becoming dominant over the wasteland server using planning and teamwork. I am yet to decide on a name but am open to suggestions! Thinking of just a number or short word or something simple that players will remember when we dominate them. * Sorry for the horrible writing structure * I am at the moment thinking of a 10 man unit consisting of; 2 snipers, 3 medics, 1 Anti-Tank, 1 Anti-Air and 3 Rifleman. These numbers could double or go up by 50% depending on the amount of given interest. - Information on classes // Snipers - Should be able to hit atleast a 2km shot with a sniper rifle (Lynx, M320) and up to a 1km shot with a marksman rifle (Mar-10, Cyrus, Mk1, Mk14 etc.) - Should not require to have a spotter to be successful. // Medics - This person is dedicated to reviving the rest of the squad. - You are still a key part to the combat situations, using a LMG or Assault rifle is highly recommended. // Anti-Tank OR Anti-Air - Expected to carry a launcher. ( of your choice except if you are Anti-Air you must carry a AA launcher. ) - Recommended to use an Assualt rifle. // Riflemen - Close quarter specialists using a Assault rifle or LMG is recommended. - Should have high level of tactical awareness and teamwork (Working as sqaud) Requirements - * Must have a microphone * Mature * Clean ban record (Minor offenses will be overseen) * Decent amount of hours on ArmA3 * Friendly * Cooperative * Active * Good teamwork skills Other information - As part of this sqaud you are dedicating your Wasteland time to the unit/sqaud.     Just a quickie, Due to reaching the money cap of 5 million, I have found myself resorting to the slightly risky method of stocking up a warchest. Now that I have gathered a reasonable 500k inside this warchest, I am starting to wonder if it will really last, and if I should spend it rather than save it. I know every now and then the server will have a base reset, when all objects are wiped, but would that also include warchests? If so, how long is it until the next wipe?
  16. Discussion post for future map of wasteland server #2 + Possible mods if a modded map was to win the vote. We want to try and avoid using the All in terrain pack for arma 3 so any maps that do not require this feel free to suggest.
