Good evening everyone, something I've been thinking about for awhile is combat in Strayagaming, more specifically, how we fight and interact with other combatants. I have been playing Arma for quite awhile now and have seen all types of combat techniques and even have developed my own, however, something that should be internationally agreed on is conditions of fighting that will allow for everyone to have a good time and most importantly, leave with a good relationship or even respect from the opposing side. In order for everyone to have a good time, during and after combat no matter if you win or lose, I have developed a list of afew things that should not be done done in combat; - Do not use restrained people as meatshields: self explanitory, its dog and the person restrained will not be enjoying himself at all - Do not use a car as a weapon: running over people or hitting people's cars that they are hiding behind in order to knock them over is a dog move - Do not 'execute' people knocked out on the ground: carrying on with using a car as a weapon, this move is irritating is proves that you are incapable of taking them on when they have a chance - Do not target people who are not a challenge: If you are rolling around in full rebel with an AK12 and you decide to rob/kidnap someone with nonething or only a handgun is stupid. These are all just basic rules which obviously most people won't role with but at the end of the day everyone jumps on to have fun and by doing the actions stated above can ruin gameplay and just irritate people for not reason. Cheers for listening and I hope people put these rules into action ?

Acknowledgement of Declaration: Y Basics: - Name on Database: atom6016 Callsign: [S02S] Rank: Senior Sergeant Age: 16 Questionnaire: - Why do you want to join the Altis Police Department Academy (100 words min)?: I have always enjoyed doing induction training and assisting other people with questions regarding protocol and just generally assisting people, both of these things bring me to the conclusion that I am a suitable applicant for academy. In general, the concept of providing new officers and even more experienced officers the knowledge and materials to grow in order to pursue what they wish to do in the APD would be an honor and a privilege. As well as providing training, I enjoy assisting other officers in doing induction training and answering or clarifying any confusion they may have, an example of this occurred tonight when an officer was struggling to assess a new officer as English was not the first language of the recruit, I proceeded to help the recruit understand what was being said as well as provided some advice to the officer of how to deal with situations like that if it ever arises again. What can you bring to the Academy? (50 words min)?: The skills and knowledge such as communication, instructional technique, a people orientated mindset as well as the experience I have obtained over my career in the APD all contributes towards myself being a magnificent academy officer. These varying skills and knowledge will assist me in a broad amount of ways, such as with my communication skill assisting me in getting new concepts and other unfamiliar training understood and perfected, my instructional technique capability assisting me to teach these concepts to any personality, language and backgrounds with the same effect, my people orientated mindset allows me to have appropriate attitude needed for academy and finally, my experience assists me in providing more in depth explanations and answers to questions. Do you wish to work primarily in Enlistment, Training or Documentation? Why? (50 words min)?: Personally, I would wish to work primarily in enlistment or training but I also have extensive experience in documentation. I with to work primarily in enlistment or training as it is a hands-on activity and it is right down my alley regarding skills and knowledge, my extensive experience in documentation comes through my prior works in Highway Patrol with fixing and creating professional documents as well as my IRL experience as an admin clerk in the Australian Air force Cadets. How much time can you dedicate to the Altis Police Department Academy?: I can dedicate a few of hours every Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoon, one or two hours every Tuesday and Wednesday and majority of the day on Saturday and Sunday. Have you ever been the subject of Disciplinary Action within the APD? If so when and why? I got a strike about a month or two ago due to me patting down three people on the Sydney bridge after Westpac bank was hit. Conclusion: - Have you read the Altis Police Department Protocols?: Y Do you acknowledge that by partaking in illegal or 'Rebel' activities you do not have the right to apply for Speciality Divisions within the APD such as SRT, POLAIR, Detectives and The Police Academy: Y By placing this application you acknowledge that any work you do for the APD can be edited by the Command Team and other Academy Officers without your consent. Any work you do for the APD remains the property of the APD. Any "Code Black" or confidential information you are given is to remain unreleased into the Community.

(50 Words min): I believe that I am worthy of a promotion because of the experience I have that can help me instruct and command lower ranks in an effective manner. As well as this I have a good reputation of being a professional, skilled officer that presents myself and the APD well. A few more reasons why I should be promoted is that I am very adaptable, good at communication and proficient at 10-codes, capable of delegation and assessment of situations to result in the best possible conclusion. In conclusion, I believe that I hold the qualities of a sergeant. Who would recommend you for a promotion? - @Sparrow - @FarmerGeorge98 - @geera - @Diz - @Rackers

Over the time I have worked with Snr Constable Martyn, he has proved himself time and time again to have the qualities of a great officer and a leader. As well as qualities, he maintains a deicent level of activity and never shys away from a challange. All of these positives as yet again displayed by his maintance of responsibilites and how he approaches all aspects of policing. Snr Constable Martyn has my recommendation and is a credit to the APD. +1

Name: atom6016 Player ID (If Blacklisted): N/A Date of Disciplinary Action: 10/5/18 What Disciplinary Action was placed against you: A strike Who were you Disciplined by: Informed of strike by Sagara, unknown who issued it. Reason for Disciplinary Action against you: I am guessing it has something to do with me patting down armed civilians that were firing upon police and other civilians outside of PD and 'using a meat-shield' Why the appeal should be accepted: [50 Words]: One of the many responsibilities of an officer in the APD is to protect and reserve the lives of all people in Altis, in the situation this occurred in, I believe I was purely ensuring the safety of the civilians in Sydney from criminals, planning and executing the destruction of a civilized community. From start to finish, I was on patrol in Sydney heading north-bound past the market when I see a roadblock being established on the bridge, upon further investigation, a small gang verbally declared on myself and my partner resulting in the death of my partner and me knocking down all three of the suspects. Not long after I had secured the initial situation, Westpac bank was hit. With the knowledge simply letting the men go would inevitable result in more lives being lost, I proceeded to pat-down and seize all of their equipment to ensure that they do not; Fire upon me while leaving and kill more civilians while we responded to bank. I would also like to point out that numerous times while I was trying to process them, they broke role-play continuously stating that I would be brought to help desk if I did not let them go. Also, before anyone goes into the illogical argument that I was using one of the 'gentlemen' as a meat-shield I would like to make it quite clear why I was not using him as a form of cover. In that situation, while I was escorting the man to his other mate, I was fired upon which resulted in me to make a split second reaction to return fire. In the amount of time I began to receive fire, and when I knocked them down, was less then a second. It is almost completely stupid to assume I could stop, windows key, press 'stop escorting', move away and then proceed to return fire, see my logic? If I did that I would accuse myself of not preserving my life. In conclusion, the actions I took against the criminals was purely done to ensure the safety of the public in Sydney, I did not use one of them as a meat shield, and I hope everyone has a good day. Any other information: For further times, I would like to be informed of who I was issued a strike by, cheers.
