  1. We're currently looking at ways to enable players to quit the game early while retaining all the benefits for the people who have claimed the kill...

Players who want to be revived won't be affected, because those who wish to keep their gear will wait out the time it takes for the medics to arrive obviously.

Nothing can be said too much at this point but stay tuned for future updates and changes to the rules.

  2. Congratulations to the 9 Lives Alpha Team / SRT combo, those 6 people worked really well together and pulled something out of nothing.

Close second was Chadd's team, they put up a great fight for a last minute team. Really great to see.

Third place winner was the medical team, congratulations for them making it this far into the tournament.

Wasn't there a system of pressing 5 or something to tell them you were coming and extend their time. I'm pretty sure that lead to infuriating instances where the medic dies before he/she can get there or disconnects mid way ending up with the dead person waiting for 10 mins for no medic.

It was removed because it was abused. The whole medic team would press 8 and extend a persons time up to 20 minutes and never revive them. Also when no medics were on, the request would go to cops who would also press 8 and not revive them.

Is this so called "New Update" i keep hearing about just a Rumour? or is it gonna be legit. ?

If it does turn out to be true what are some things you Lads are expecting to see added in or changed?

Lots of changes regarding combat. Bit of map rearrangement. Some QoL features.

  5. Kozlice Shotgun and city limits.

With the addition of the Contact DLC to the Altis Life server today, a new weapon was added, the Kozlice Shotgun. The long barrel variant is a tad too powerful to keep within city limits so we're restricting its use so it won't see itself inside city limits.

To help players mitigate their love affair with shotguns and wanting to use it to kill some cops, we've added the sawed-off variant of the Kozlice to the civillian gun stores which allow players to use the weapon inside city limits to their hearts content.

The rule changes are as follows:

Old: 2.7 Civilians may not enter city limits with / or use any of the following ; concealing clothing (balaclavas, face masks), assault weapons (anything larger than an SMG or holds more than 30 rounds), armoured apparel (clothing with armour rating, vests that cannot be purchased from a civ store) or rebel vehicles (any vehicle not able to be purchased from civilian stores).

New (changed italicised): 2.7 Civilians may not enter city limits with / or use any of the following ; concealing clothing (balaclavas, face masks), assault weapons (anything that cannot be purchased from the red civ gun store), armoured apparel (clothing with armour rating, vests that cannot be purchased from a civ store) or rebel vehicles (any vehicle not able to be purchased from civilian stores).

This rule change will go live on Sunday at the 3:00 PM restart.

  6. Greetings everyone,

As of the 3PM restart on Wednesday, there will be a slight rule change regarding whether people can bring weapons into city limits with over 30 rounds of ammunition in them or not.

As we were working on the update, both myself and Bouda did not give enough attention on whether the new gun (the ADR-97) would impact the city or not as we were more focused on testing and getting the update pushed, which granted us a lot more people playing the server, giving more suggestions and trying new things out (Hostage R&D's).

As of this post, the current rule will now be reworded:

2.7 Civilians may not enter city limits with / or use any of the following; concealing clothing (balaclavas, face masks), high calibre weapons (anything larger than an SMG), armoured apparel (clothing with armour rating, vests that cannot be purchased from a civ store) or rebel vehicles (any vehicle not able to be purchased from civilian stores).

And the change to the rule will be (change is italicised)

2.7 Civilians may not enter city limits with / or use any of the following; concealing clothing (balaclavas, face masks), assault weapons (anything larger than an SMG or holds over 30 rounds), armoured apparel (clothing with armour rating, vests that cannot be purchased from a civ store) or rebel vehicles (any vehicle not able to be purchased from civilian stores).

In the meantime, staff will not punish or stop players from using the ADR-97 from inside city limits as the rule has not come into effect.

    Regards,

    Altis Life Senior Staff.

  7. Rule Update - 11/07/2019

    Hello everyone,

As of the 3PM restart on Thursday, there will be a rule change regarding some rules which may have been causing confusion in relation to third party rule breaches at bank.

We are simplifying the ruleset by de-cluttering a rule and merging it with another rule. As it currently stands, these two rules are:

9.6 Declarations for all robberies only go within the immediate area of the robbery, combat in areas deemed unreasonable may be seen as a rule break. With exceptions with snipers within 2km of the robbery.

9.4 Any hostile action done to either the robbers or the police responding to the robbery done by an unrelated gang/third party will be considered RDM. Two gangs (Rebel/Cartel/Civilian) cannot commit to a robbery at the same time.

We are now merging these two rules into one which will now create:

9.4 Declarations for all robberies are only within the immediate area of the robbery. Any hostile actions to either the robbers or the police responding to the robbery by an unrelated gang/third party will be considered RDM within 2km of the active robbery. Two gangs (Rebel/Cartel/Civilian) cannot commit to a single robbery at the same time.

To summarise, this rule change makes it clear that if you are not in the active robbery area (2km radius), you may receive declarations from other gangs not part of the robbery who may engage you.

    Regards,

    Altis Life Senior Staff.

  8. I do not see why the server needs to turn into military role-play. Remember, you are playing on a life server. Making changes like these would only serve to increase the amount of player reports made and increase the overall difficult that staff members currently face.
