I definitely think that's the right sort of idea, we could have customs signs down the road perhaps warning of the checkpoint (not sure if that's possible but i'm sure it is, we have custom uniforms and stuff?) We would need to do multiple versions of that specific idea to find one that would look the best and also function the best but that is the sort of idea I am thinking about. Also, when there are no police online civilians can just have the gates open and go through without having to go through a 100 metre long military checkpoint lmao. That is a great location too, just on the edge of the city meaning police can monitor the entry and exit to syd. It is also not a claustrophobic checkpoint allowing people to move around.

Exactly, would be simple to make too. We could have lanes off to the side that drivers could turn into so they do not have to wait for the people in front to finish before they can move. Would solve the traffic problem that always happens with checkpoints.

Didn't even know they had moved weed proc thought they only moved drug dealer so yeah I get where you're coming from. However, I still believe my initial points remain that there should be the possibility of checkpoint evasion and capture, i'm sure you agree with me there. We're the police not the military so we do not need 10 meter high walls around our checkpoint and it should be simple more or less how they are in real life.

Fair points, just feel as though civilians should have a chance to avoid the checkpoint whether that be by driving around like the old one or pulling a gun and getting past that way. I just personally feel as though your checkpoint, although I applaud the effort you went through to give a visual idea, is more suitable in a place like Syria rather than Australia/Altis lol. Zorgain's is better as it is less military like however I still feel as though there is no chance of avoidance. I am sorta going on an acoustic rant here but honestly I feel like these points need to be brought up. We need the best checkpoint we can have and it needs to benefit the needs and wants of the community on both sides, not only the police. Like I said previously, that back road near weed proc is a good way for weed transporters to go however I know GD units and detectives will be set up there quite often meaning there is no possibility of those runs being done. All in all I personally feel we need a less military-esque checkpoint and more one like we had previously where evasion is possible. I just stole this photo but you can see in here that the checkpoint is quite simple and on a map such as altis would allow people to avoid the checkpoint as well as attempt to take over the checkpoint (however they would only have pistols etc. since there is no rebel weaponry in the city.) I'll attempt to make something on the editor in a few days when I get back to my computer to give an example of what I am talking about.

The majority of people who do weed runs are new players because it's the safest drug run imo and those are the people who are going to be affected by this new change the most. I guess they will learn quickly about the back streets to enter neri but what's to say that there won't be cops set up or patrolling those roads? People join daily and want to do illegal runs and all i'm saying is we need to think about the impact this new change will have on those players. I mean honestly I don't really care about it too much and I even agree with the proposed change however I believe we need to think about how it would feel to join just a server and survive being decced and shot at weed field to then get busted on the main road into sydney. I only play cop so like I said doesn't affect me negatively however we need to think about the impact on the community and especially new players.

These are all great suggestions and all but how would civilians feel about this new suggestion/change? It's all well and good for the police as it would stop pretty much all crime in upper sydney but the new change would eliminate a fair majority of weed/drug runs which would make it more difficult than it already is for civilians to make money. We as a community have to cater for all types of roleplay and completely eliminating a main source of monetary gain or at least making it a lot more difficult for them could not only impact the illegal activity in sydney (which we need to have a purpose for the police) but also possibly the server population. We need to hear how other players who mainly play civilian feel about this new change. Now you may think that the same problem occurs when the previous checkpoint is manned and somewhat you are correct but the new ideas are suggesting that we not only make the checkpoint more secure for police, harder to go around but also in a position where there a blind corner 100 meters down the road so there is no chance to avoiding the checkpoint. Also, since this is easy for police to man it would mean that 90% of the time it is manned and I know even myself I would be helping out whenever I got the chance at the checkpoint whereas previously it was only manned (before the city limit rule came in as well) on the odd occasion. Just my 2 centz.

+1 yes please, would actually allow police to man the checkpoint instead of having it run by SP. Think someone already posted this suggestion not too long ago so the community obviously agrees with this suggested change. It should be put on the edge of city limits to allow police to check vehicles and stop rebels entering the city. It's pretty funny seeing cops build their own checkpoints 200 metres down the road instead of use the actual ones in order to not leave the city.

All officers I know use lethals when a fed bank is being robbed. Even recruits and prob. constables get lethals because the situation requires it. Speaking of the VLR, how can you argue that you would rather be shot than tazed if you care so much about that rule. Lol? That is the situation, there is an escalation graph the APD follows. Officers do not use lethals unless the situation requires it. I agree, however, the only people who would not use lethals in this situation would be recruits and last time I checked neither myself or you want someone who just joined the police force with no experience whatsoever handling a weapon that can take your life. Would be interesting to see what would happen if you got your way, I know damn well there would be another forum post with the title "RECRUITS SHOULD NOT HAVE LETHALS!" Although I respect your opinion, you know there is no other solution to this issue.
