There seems to be a number of people saying “If we could get a working judicial system”, however the judicial system works perfectly except for one thing. There is no punishment for purposely continuously putting off court cases. If this was added (which it could be in common law anyways, without the need for edits to the documentarion) everything would work smoothly (AKA the cop force can’t just keep putting off them losing money). The full system itself works quite fine at the moment as evidenced by the many past cases we have had, the thing is most players want to run around and shoot eachother, not sit and argue in court, so unless you make the court system just a 1v1 pistol shootout, good luck. (There’s even a arbitration system for smaller civil matter to ensure its easy to access and that it takes less time) People are here to role play while shooting, not role play while argueing, and that’s the real problem if you want to get the judicial system used. (And maybe slightly that the people appointed in charge of it (attorney general) more recently have displayed very little attention to it to get new lawyers)

Automatically unrestrained after 15 or so minutes Why the appeal should be accepted: Even the person who I left restrained disagrees with the punishment as being way over the top (For example the other day an officer dropped a person in cuffs in the water and got a verbal warning for it). Infact he even admits he regrets taking it up because of the level of punishment that was made. I have only had a warning from about 2 years ago as previous disciplinary action however taking up 15 minutes of this mans time, who was meant to be going to gaol anyway if I had not offered to release him on community service, was judged to be worth a demotion. I believe this is harshly overzealous and was influenced by my past, expunged, disciplinary actions as well as my past status within the police force, which I feel is extremely unfair as an officer attempting to work my way up the ranks again. I showed remorse for my actions offered to fully compensate the person who experienced the trouble (to stop any legal action and because I knew I had made a mistake and wanted to make it fair for the person who I had hurt), however I was told to not compensate the man but that I would "still" face a demotion. The person appeared to be unrestrained as I pulled him out of my vehicle so I immediately ran to the bus to help fellow officers who were in a firefight. I was told my actions still required a demotion because they were "reckless" however the definition of a reckless action requires intent to commit the action in the first place. I was more then upfront about the mistake, in fact I didn't even claim meta-game for "finding" my name when I was masked and in SRT blacks. Any other information: The decision of what was going to happen to me was obviously made before I even got to put my side forward and I believe such is unfair. @kiwisniper @Augnov

Heres a fact. Ropeplaying killing 92 people and then roleplaying that you have a video when you have not actually killed 92 people is actually FailRP as you are introducing something static into the RP which is not consistent with events. (e.g. it cannot be rebutted but it is also not true) To put it simply, the only way to have a video in roleplay is if you actually did it in roleplay. Although you could always try to roleplay it was a CGI video to make it not FailRP.... But then all police have to do is a frame by frame analysis to see the difference as RP is meant to represent something close to life, and there's no CGI so perfect in a video it cannot be distinguished.

@nclem @Chow Muhammad That being said they aren’t really negotiations because it’s basically the rebels disctating terms and not willing to budge at all, and then threatening the life of the hostage and the negotiator to force the negotiator to comply with demands. (well that’s what my experience has been)

2.6 Any strategy, method or actions that are obtained by out of game means will be seen as meta-gaming. Its an in ingame means so is it really meta-gaming ;)

High reward = high risk it wouldn’t be fair if you could get $72,000,000 by putting 15 rebels with Navids, Mk18s and Mk200s against 13 cops (4 pubs with tasers, 6 or so 5.56/6.5mm, and maybe 2 7.62 And a larger gun) If you want to get that much money you need to be able to fight against not just the low level cops, but waves of more armoured officers. But hey, if you just killed everyone that wouldn’t have happened ;) Just saying, having the defensive position and so much larger guns, I think it’s more then fair you face off against an army of cops for the amount of money you could get.

In regards to the specific police situation. The attitude you are talking about is quite rare now on cop (for various reasons) and only really comes around for 2 reasons: 1) Someone was promoted and feels like they have sooooo much power to hold over you 2) People are getting annoyed/stressed I can guarantee the actions at that bank were from people in group number 2 who were just annoyed they lost too many officers. I will agree both sides of that did something wrong. All the cops should not have pushed like that after being told not too (I was one of them). But the commander of the bank should have made himself clearer with other officers making order like statements to push. The command of the bank also lacked another viable plan.... e.g. it’s a game so it’s not viable to sit there and wait for 1 hour for some guy in a tower (I rushed cause I needed to go to dinner so I didn’t care if I died or killed them TBH). If the team commanding the situation had come up with an alternative on how to kill the blokes in the tower other then “let’s just wait” (like blowing the tower up), I believe they would have much more of a right to be angry. However they just got angry cause they were annoyed that it seemed no one listened to them and they were stressed because they now had 6 less cops. Personally I find the best thing to do is just take a deep breathe, jump off for a little bit then come back on when everyone has cooled off and everybody is cool again to play normally. You just got stuck on the end of a pretty normal reaction of a person who didn’t have time to carefully plan their reaction due to being in a situation. (Which happens in real life too) One final note is to not worry too much, you must remember the CO of the bank is always learning and will learn from that bank. I have lots of comments about it but I know his job isn’t to be perfect but to improve. (Although he wants it to be perfect so he can more quickly gain a promotion, and hence the stress he experiences) (also there can be a lot of pressure from higher ranks to do things right despite them seeming to not be around) But overall I really do think Strayagaming has changed for the better however there is a higher number of players making things harder to control everybody and inevitably increasing the amount of people who could care naught for server rules. But luckily we have a dedicated staff team to help us all out in sticky situations and time to cool off after annoying moments
