  1. I think that if we had a checkpoint it should block both lanes so that someone can’t just speed down the open lane and past the checkpoint. Each lane should have 2 bar gates to create an airlock effect one for entry one for exit. The point of a checkpoint is to stop wanted people or illegal items from entering or exiting sydney. The people the checkpoint is aimed to stop would most likely not want to comply with police. Giving them an open lane or exit which doesn’t require them to lose speed in the same way as a turning off-road does they will use it to their advantage to avoid the checkpoint with next to no effort. The checkpoint needs to be created with the purpose to aid police as much as possible. It should be closed off so that veichles can’t escape and police have plenty of cover if they are declared upon. Possibly a small processing room for when you find somthing that doesn’t require transportation back to PD.

  2. Marshal law has been declared the APD have full control of Altis and are closing off the natural resources from rebels. The commissioner has stated that the actions taken are neasesary for the protection of citizens. “The amount of robberies at Altis gas stations are through the roof and the rebels are benefiting off the free fuel systems that are being payed for by tax payers.” The commissioner took this opportunity to praise the new highway patrol base that acts like a police checkpoint and will protect the gas station business from being robbed on a near constant basis. “This base will be replacing the old and unused police checkpoint outside city limits it will also help stop the flow of drugs and weapons entering sydney limits.”

After that little story, the checkpoint idea looks great but it looks big enough to be a police base (which isn’t a bad thing just an observation) and as long as it’s manned the gas station becomes very protected and becomes extremely risky to rob for a low reward. It looks much more secure and professional then the current one. Of course I understand it’s a quick creation but it already looks like better then our current checkpoint. It’s also in sydney limits so the CO would actually allow police man it.

  3. The current police checkpoint 1 is outside city limits and is therefore never actually manned by police. It is a cop asset that is not used by the cops and is a central place for crime outside Sydney limits. I believe and many others probably agree that police checkpoint 1 should be moved into city limits or city limits should be extended to police checkpoint 1 so that it becomes useful again.
