The server went through a giant wipe not too long ago, things are still being planned and put into place and staff are getting feedback from us as to what we want in the future, such as better capture points and crafting. Theres no need to criticize a server that is being developed just to get some attention on the forums.

Gonna miss you man, one of the funniest guys I’ve ever met and you made my time on Straya really fun and you’ve impacted a lot of people in this community. Best of luck with your future dude

I really like the new Westpac, although it is a bit of a drive for us cops, it’s still much better than the old one in my opinion. It’s more CQC than just people camping shady towers and people sniping. I’ve played this bank as both a cop and rebel. As a rebel it’s a really fun bank to defend and as a cop it’s great to attack and push through a town. It is getting bland very quickly though, I would love to see more banks being implemented. Maybe a Sydney bank again, and a bank in or near Melbourne or Brisbane. And another suggestion that has been brought up a lot, a vault where all seized weapons and equipment go so that gangs and civilians can rob it for gear.

+1 great leader when taking CO and would make a great Sergeant

Spotlight A great game I know which would work really well for an event would be a game called 'Spotlight'. This is a game where you have one or a set number of 'seekers' who have flashlights on their guns to try and find the 'hiders'. The Moderators or Administrators running the event will choose someone or a group of people to be the seekers. I would recommend two people to be seekers, everyone else will be hiders. Players will be teleported to an area, this could be a town or maybe old rebel island ect. Boundaries will be drawn on the map and if you leave the area you'll get one warning to return and if they don't they get killed by a Mod or an Admin. Gear Seekers Seekers will have any clothing of their choice or clothing that a Mod will assign them plus a high vis vest on so hiders can easily spot them. Seekers will have a gun, maybe a PDW or Protector with a RCO plus a flashlight. Seekers must NOT have night vision goggles on and this will be the Moderator's responsibility to make sure no one is bringing any gear in which is not allowed or will give them an unfair advantage, this can easily be done by a Mod killing the player and then assigning them gear from a crate. Once the seekers have their clothing and gun ready then they will wait until a Mod or Admin tells them the game has started. Hiders Hiders can wear any clothing of their choice but they must NOT have any vest or helmet on. Whether or not they have night vision goggles will be up to the Mod running the event. Hiders will NOT have a weapon on them but they can have the basics such as food and water. They must NOT have anything on them that can harm other players, spike strips, guns ect. What will happen Once both hiders and seekers have gear sorted out and are ready to go, there will be a timer for hiders to go hide. The timer will be set for 5 or 10 minutes to give hiders a good amount of time to go and find a hiding spot. Once the timer has run out the seekers will be released into the marked area where the hiders are hiding. When it comes to what will happen when seekers find the hiders can be one of two options, either they must kill the hiders, or once they spot the hider they must call out to them they are found. When they call out they must state what the hider is wearing and must state the spot they see the hider hiding, this is too prevent seekers from baiting hiders to come out by just yelling out randomly that they have found someone. Once they spot the hider and they have come out, seekers will put the hider in zipties and take them back to a designated 'Prison'. Where the captured hider must sit until the game is over. Other hiders can come and break out their friend by running into the prison and tapping the captured hider or hiders. Once they are tapped all hiders that were captured can go back into the game and hide. This why 2 or maybe 3 seekers would be good because then 2 seekers can go out and find hiders, and 1 seeker can guard the prison. If the prison guard sees someone trying to get to the prison to break out their friends, the prison guard may shoot the hider attempting to break out prisoners. Time Limit The game will have a 20 or 30 minute limit and can end quicker if the seekers find all the hiders. Another option is too break up the players into maybe 3 or 2 different groups. One group could go to a town and the other group could go some place like old rebel island. Each group would have a Mod or Admin controlling the game. Would be great to see this game used for an event and thanks for asking for our suggestions and ideas?

It appears that when I go to buy vehicles from the air shop or any store then the night vision goggles are active, even when I don't have them on it does this. Evidence- https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1565414933

People are saying the reason theres no one on is because of exams. Yeah I guess that's the reason for SOME people. But theres something obviously wrong when all the big gangs and some cops go to another server. In order for the server to have a complete revive is to go back to its former self. The new server just doesn't feel right. One thing that NEEDS to come back is Sydney. Sydney was the reason a lot of people played on the server. although it was cancerous and there was trolling, it was what made straya fun for some people and it was an amazing place to talk with others and socialise. In Sydney there would always be people there, market would be flooded with people and it was so much fun. In Brisbane, there may be like 3 or 4 civs and they just stood there. GD was also the way it should've been in Sydney. GD stayed in city limits and dealt with civilians whilst SRT would fight rebels outside city limits. Now GD are the ones fighting rebels, because we are forced to leave and go out because Brisbane is so small and no ones there. Another reason people are leaving is because rebels have nothing to do. Rebels can rob a bank and that's about it. They cant camp drug fields or anything because they don't like killing random civies. Gangs had their fun with fighting SRT outside city limits, but now its just them versing GD, and GD are well equipped for fighting rebels when theyre on their basic patrols. Point is, Sydney needs to come back and there should be more things for rebels and civilians to do. Please bring Sydney back

Yeah I completely agree. I miss Sydney, although it was an RDM fest, and there was lots of trolling, it was still such an amazing city to be in. Sydney was where I met a lot of people, whether it was patrolling as a cop, or sitting around SYD bridge with randoms and talked. Ever since the new wipe, I haven't been talking to many civilians, in Sydney you could be ANYWHERE and there would be someone to talk to, the only time I talk to civies now are when they are at PD or if im processing them. Yeah the wipe was good, it spread everyone out and stopped the trolling, but I feel like the wipe really took the fun out of Straya. I find myself taking more breaks now because I get bored on GD as there are not many people to interact with anymore, everyone is all over the place. If I was to change something, I would've changed it so that the money wipe went ahead like it did, but I woudlve kept Sydney as a spawnable place for both cops and civs. I know the narrative and all says Sydney is now an abbondended city, but I would love it to be introduced again eventually.

Michael Phelps has been a dedicated and great officer of the APD. His commanding skills are good and knows how to be strict but just. Michael will be a great Sergeant that lower ranks will easily be able to approach with their problems or issues. +1

I love the idea of doing a delivery mission in a Helicopter or a blackfish. There could be different types of deliveries. Short quick and cheap ones which would be done in a Hummingbird. Medium distance ones in a Mohawk or a Huron, higher pay. Then also longer trip across the whole map maybe in a Blackfish, and then that could get a very high payment. I feel that air delivery missions would make delivery missions a lot more fun and enjoyable, doesn’t have to be exactly how I said, obviously there would be issues but can easily work around those problems

@Jo_ Alright first up, this is no where near corruption. Corruption would be Farmer adding more charges that he didn’t even do to his wanted level to get more money. But if everything was fine and he arrested your friend, I see no problem. He gave your friend a shorter sentence which is what you should want when you get arrested. But no your friend wants to stay longer so he can break out, keep his wanted level and look like a cool kid to all the other gangs lol. In my opinion it’s just pathetic, there was no corruption in this case and it’s literally just you guys being salty cause your friend got sent for only 7 years. And Alt F4ing makes yourself and your gang look really bad just btw. All just to keep a bounty and look cool to other gangs lol, once again it’s just stupid. Also, using the excuse of that he wasn’t in roleplay, is a terrible excuse to disconnect and keep his bounty. If you get caught by cops, just deal with it and don’t get angry at them for doing their job of arresting criminals.

I think the deposit should be quite high to make sure people don't **** around with it, and then a large sum of cash for reward.
-
Yeah I get what you mean, and I strongly agree that the KOS should be opened again for Rebels, there’s just ome thing I’m really sick regarding rebels\civilains (not all gangs or civilians). We hear everyday people complaining about different shit. Whether it’s corruption.... when I see someone mow down another civie, I detain them and it’s apparently corruption lol. Complaints about tasers being over powered and that other weaponry should be used. Then when we use ‘other’ weaponry, we get complaints we are over powered ( not referring to the situation you are talking about but others in the past), it just frustrates me because we get told we need to roleplay more and when we do, by doing our jobs, we get chewed out verbally by some pissed kid. I’ve played on both ends, I’ve been a rebel before full time and now been cop. I don’t see where the problems are besides SOME people being a bit salty they get caught or that they don’t get the weapons they want. Sorry if it seemed I was targeting you and your gang, I was just trying to emphasise how much complaints and bullshit we deal with for doing our job on a roleplay server lol
-
Don’t understand why rebels are complaining that cops bring out large weapons to ‘fist’ them when it’s only like one cop who pulled it out and they decide to complain about the whole APD for being overpowered, hmmmmmmm what’s new ?
-
Although I did not know you too well, I definitely knew that you were a caring and amazing person to be around. We thank you for everything you have done for this community and I wish you the best in your future endeavours and I know you will achieve greatness in your life ahead of you. You will be missed

Evo has shown great skills and capabilities in taking CO and managing units on GD. He will be a great Sergeant and I strongly recommend him for the promotion +1
-
Then those cops just want to get their money quickly and don't want to roleplay. Put in a complaint if you see this happening, cause we don't want this happening.
-
I agree with bringing Sydney back, but the part about making rules so rebels can come into city limits....I strongly disagree. I also have to agree more with @Daywalker with this. Gangs would just troll in Sydney, and that's why the staff made it so players are more spread around the map. Allowing rebels with 7.62s to come into city limits just to kill cops in un armoured vehicles with 9mms, just wouldn't work. Cause then we get over powered in the city and civilians are no longer safe ANYWHERE. Rebels belong outside city limits, and that will never change. I do absolutely agree that Sydney should be brought though. I wouldn't want it as a main city again, but it should be a spawnable location for civilians.
-
If all civilians were like this then cops and civilians would get along much better. But sadly there are some civilians who make it difficult for cops and they aren't willing to roleplay. I also understand that there are some cops who just speed through processing to gain the money from the ticket or arrest, this is quite disappointing. Would be nice if all cops and all civilians were like these people you have spoken about.

I’m making this discussion post so that we can give ideas to how to improve the new Altis life Server after its wipe. I’m sure we will still go under a number of changes throughout the future, and I think it would be great if we could all contribute and give some ideas as to what could be improved on the new server, or what is becoming a problems. One problems I’m seeing at the moment is that civilians are at a severe disadvantage when it comes to making money. I spend all my time on cop and make money by arresting people and killing rebels, but I’ve been hearing a lot of civilians complaining about getting robbed and not making money, and cop isn’t for everyone and I would like to see civilians have a fair chance at making money without having to join Cop or Medic. Obviously there are issues and they are hard to solve, but hopefully we can figure something out and maybe get the lead staff to make a change. We as a community need to speak up and say what we want in the server and should always suggest solutions to problems in Altis Life.

When it comes to how civilians can make money, there are many different methods as @bouda118 has stated. But the real question is how can they do it safely. Yes they can take back roads, but rebel gangs are everywhere and some gangs often stay at the processing areas waiting for those civilians, meaning taking backroads was just a waste of time because they’re gonna get robbed anyway at their destination. I remember how frustrating it was when I first joined the server to make money. I couldn’t even leave safe zone without getting decced because solo civilians are easy targets for gangs. What I could recommend is to maybe reorganise the map a bit and move areas such as cargo yards closer to city limits or implement another money making method for civilians but put it in the city where they can at least feel a bit safe knowing Police are always nearby, with the exception of a bank going on of course. We always get dispatches saying someone is getting robbed at iron trader or at a drug field or whatever, but often some officers don’t want to respond to this because it’s too far away, which is a bit disappointing. I’ve had civilians also ask me if they could get a Police escort to where they need to go, and this just shows how unsafe civilians feel. Also if we do give them an escort, I believe it would attract attention and make gangs WANT to challenge us, especially the larger gangs. Which puts the civilians in danger once again. It’s a tough problems to solve but I sill think that the Altis Life lead staff should try and reorganise the map too make it safer for civilians too make a quick buck, a job maybe including some roleplay as well.

It would be nice to make zones such as the copper/iron and truck delivery areas a safe zone to help civilians who aren't in a gang to make some money so that they can build their bank account. But there would be some problems such as the ones you have stated @silentkiller. It would be great if gangs and civilians could make some sort of agreement to have a truce and keep the fighting between gangs and the Police Force. But yeah there would be too many problems with making those areas safe zones such as people camping the zones as you have said. Hopefully in the near future the Strayagaming staff can implement something for solo civilians so they can make money without leaving the safe zone in fear of getting robbed by a 10 man gang.
