You know what's the similarity of you and those AI's? Both can shoot; however, AI's shoots better than you
-
I forgot to ask. Is the crosshairs will be deactivated because if you guys will insist on the 3rd person thingy being on the event, that would be a totally unfair for people that uses 1st person?
-
3rd person in PvP are for cheating mother****ing pussies

As a member of the recon team, this is our flaws so far: We don't have medic/paramedic in the team at the beginning of the mission which really had caused the demise of the whole team. I got disconnected due to my weak internet connection. So far, we did eventually got a medic, which was me. I was really weary that I might get disconnected in the middle of the game. What I've learned: In my opinion, every squad must always have a medic. If ever you are going to play a pivotal role in the game, like being a medic, an AT rifleman, or being the squad lead, YOU must have better internet connection. We can't risk losing you just because you got disconnected. If you know that you might leave the game anytime soon due to some reason, play a less significant role. As a medic, you must not rush enemy positions because you're the last person that everyone wants dead. I learned it because I got killed while clearing the castle in search of that enemy sniper, somewhere on top of the castle and I have to be rushed back to base. "If ever I was a liability than an asset to the whole operation, I deeply apologize for that."

Operation Dragonfly MISSION OBJECTIVE: We got wind of an air field currently being operated by CSAT. At the moment, there are 2 flights of Mi-48 Kajman's stationed at the said air field. Your mission is to assault the air field and destroy the Mi-48's. Do it as fast as you can as they may be able to put them in the air and compromise the whole operation. SQUAD SETUP: Rifleman Squad (numbers may vary depending on how many would participate) 1x Recon Team 1x Huron - for the assault team 1x Humming bird - for the recon team CAS\FSG STATUS: Optional; but, must wait for request from the Recon Team WEAPONS\UNIFORM: NATO/CTRG issued uniforms Any guns you like Recon Teams - light weight weapons and gears is recommended but not strongly imposed; however, suppressor is a requirement. Bring AA launchers for a contingency plan

Operation Pot of Gold MISSION OBJECTIVE: A heavy shipment of supplies have been shipped from the harbor of Kavala going to the Selekano Air Field which is in AAF control. You must intercept the convoy and steal the supply trucks and bring it back to base. You must not destroy the supply trucks to make it successful SQUAD SETUP: Rifleman Squad (numbers may vary depending on how many would participate) 1x Recon Team 2x APC/1x transport truck - for the assault team 1x Prowler - for the recon team CAS\FSG STATUS: Optional; but, must wait for request from the Recon Team WEAPONS\UNIFORM: NATO issued uniforms Any guns you like Recon Teams - light weight weapons and gears is recommended but not strongly imposed; however, suppressor is a requirement.

Operation Snake Bite MISSION OBJECTIVE: Your mission is easily said than done, infiltrate the town filled with hostiles patrolling the streets and around the town, and arrest or kill the HVT. The problem is, if you got detected by the enemy, chances are that you are going to be surrounded which is really a disadvantage; aside from that, the HVT will flee the area, making the mission failed. Stealth is at the essence here. SQUAD SETUP: Rifleman Squad (numbers may vary depending on how many would participate) 1x Recon Team 1x Sniper Team - consisting of a trigger man and a spotter 1x Huron/Taru - Transport for the main Assault Team 1x Light Heli (Hummingbird) - Transport for the Recon Team CAS\FSG STATUS: Optional; but, must wait for request from the Recon Team WEAPONS\UNIFORM: CTRG issued uniforms Any guns you like Suppressor is a "must"
-
Operation Ground Shaker MISSION OBJECTIVE: An Intel from our slipper agent told us about of one of the remaining East Wind devices which the CSAT forces had abandoned while in retreat in one of the research facilities within the island. As it happens a terrorist group had discovered it. They probably going to use it to spread terror through out the region. You are task of securing the device and bringing it back to base. SQUAD SETUP: 2x Rifleman Squad 1x Recon Team 1x Huron/Taru - Transport for the main Assault Team and to sling load the device after it has been secured. 1x Light Heli (Hummingbird) - Transport for the Recon Team CAS\FSG STATUS: Optional; but, must wait for request from the Recon Team WEAPONS\UNIFORM: NATO issued uniforms Any guns you like Recon Teams - light weight weapons and gears is recommended but not strongly imposed; however, suppressor is a requirement.
-
Operation Tribal MISSION OBJECTIVE: An intel from a local told us about the abduction of a number of community leaders from various communities that are supporters of the NATO forces by a terrorist group called the FIA/Syndicat. As it happens the local also have told us about where they are being holed in, they are in a camp. Aside from that, they also have acquired; probably stolen some AAF APC's which are painted in guerilla camo along side with other technicals. Your mission is to infiltrate their territory and rescue the hostages before they get executed. SQUAD SETUP: 2x Rifleman Squad 1x Recon Team 2x APC/IFV - Transport of the main Assault Team 1x Light Heli (Hummingbird) - Transport for the Recon Team CAS\FSG STATUS: Optional; but, must wait for request from the ground troops WEAPONS\UNIFORM: NATO issued uniforms Any guns you like Recon Teams - light weight weapons and gears is recommended but not strongly imposed; however, suppressor is a requirement.

how 'bout a monthly mission instead of a weekly one, 'coz people will run out of ideas eventually. Unless you are planning to have a re-runs of these special event missions?
-
In that case, we will be on the same recon team mate. Only if I still have data for tomorrow. Damn! I'm really looking forward to this.
-
There are some locations across the island of Altis that is not being used. Just Northeast from the base, there is an abandoned hotel and resort. I believe that it would be nice if we can conduct a special event mission in that area. Missions that could be done: Multiple-hostage rescue mission HVT assassination - most suitable for snipers; the assassin must get through patrols without being detected (idealistically)

The tank still seems in good working condition and yet, and yet a single hit took it out...
-
Other than the NATO beret, what kind of clothing are we going to wear? Combat Fatigues (MTP)? Combat Fatigues (Tropic)? CTRG Stealth Uniform?
-
I believe there will be, just like the last operation "Steel Sunday". Insertion points will surely be discussed before the execution of the mission. Remember, this is not your everyday mission.
-
maybe, leave Echo, Foxtrot, Golf and the Recon Team slots as reserve slots for the event so that we won't be missing any medics or AT's in the event.
-
Why not try doing a BLITZ KREIG should be fun, I guess...

As for me, I although I don't have to do it, I still did ground myself to at least 90% mil-sim mentality in this server. The only reason that I bought this game (ArmA 3) is because of it's realistic mil-sim aspect that is not so common with other games such as Call of Duty, Counter Strike, Battlefield, and many more. So, what I did is that: adjust my weapon sway to vanilla (1.1) in the server's option menu limit my ammo capacity to 6 mags only for rifles, 3 mags at most for support weapons (e.i. machine guns) 2 grenades regularly and 2 smoke grenades 5 first aid kits if I'm playing as an Rifleman AT, I'm limited to 2 rockets; one is already loaded to the launcher if I'm a medic, I bring 5 extra first aid kits ans 2 more smoke grenades if I'm a sapper, I bring a mine detector, 4 explosives/1 stachel charge, and a toolkit (for disarming explosives/fixing military assets) if I'm a sniper, I'm limited to 3 extra mags of M320/GM6 I don't wear that over protective armor with kevlar arm protection because it's too heavy I don't usu long range scopes if I'm not a marksman or a sniper.

Never a fan of Bergen backpacks. In reality, it's like a huge signage telling "I'M HERE NUMB NUTS! SHOOT ME HERE!".
-
Depending on what division. Even medics/paramedics can wear guillie suits, like if they are part of a special forces or even recons.
-
actually, at least for me; default or not, these group markers sometime obstruct my view specially if there are more than 8 people in a group. I guess it's a bless for me not to see group markers. Anyway, the squad radar is an absolute bless.
