+For anyone wondering I snow boarded and my family ski'd 

For anyone thinking about wanting to go on a ski trip that isn't half way across the planet and is only a short haul flight, I would HIGHLY recommend skiing in NZ.

I have just been with my family and it was amazing, but was quite expensive but I've heard its the same in most country's that have ski slopes ect... I would recommend going to Queenstown and skiing the slopes there by the names or Coronet Peak and the Remarkables they have pretty freaky roads so if that's not you ideal drive you can catch a bus or, if heights are an issue then I would recommend going to lake Tekapo it has a really nice hot springs (Not natural so it doesn't smell like your swimming in the earths faeces) and there's a really nice ski slop there with a nice drive with only a slight freaky bit, but it only lasts about a minute, the drive is relatively quick and its a privately owned slope so its well taken care of. If you are skiing in New Zealand I would recommend you rent all your gear its really cheap! The most expensive thing there is the lift pass and that's just for skiing. While your up there I would recommend getting a lesson if your new, but if your a dare devil and think you got the gist go for it what's the worst that could happen?
