Hi Adrian, This is indeed a roleplay server and we encourage all players to remain within roleplay at all times, to the extent of banning players who fail to do so. Can you provide any video of these events that occurred or what lead up to it? You cannot expect us to fall over at your feet begging just because you are upset about a situation without providing anything to back up your claim. There are very few officers that can get Teargas, in fact only 5. So I would be very interested in a video of this situation. I will personally deal with those responsible once I have something to back up your claims.

From the poll results we are going to be doing further testing with the older missions to try figure out exactly why the current mission is crashing. This will be running during the week. On the first 2 tests during this week we only managed to get 40-50 players online. If 72 people want to see the server fixed, 72 people need to be on the server during the tests. We won't run the test for a full 6 hours, only 3-4 as it should have already crashed by then. It doesn't but there is a hook that might work, we have used it previously but it worked terribly with our website. It has been updated since then though.

Hi All, Lucky B33f and I have been working on purchasing some new dedicated servers and upgrading all of the game server hosts. It's finally time, and I have purchased a new server. It's not the one that will be running Altis Life permanently, but due to certain circumstances we needed to purchase this one first. It will hold Altis Life temporarily while we move stuff around, and when the move is done we will work on Altis Life's more permanent home next. During this time we will be testing a few performance tweaks, and are hoping that they will fix the mass BattlEye kicks. Since we are dropping the current server for this new one I will need to turn all services off while I move them to prevent data loss, and to ensure all services are moved over correctly. The plan is for an afternoon outage today where Teamspeak, the database and AltisLife will be moved over, the sooner this happens the better for everyone. After Altis Life and Teamspeak are moved over and working correctly more of the back-end and staff tools will be moved over on Thursday night. Finally, all services will be down while I set it up properly on Friday, and come Saturday morning it should all be running as normal again. TL:DR Here are some estimated outages while we migrate the current Altislife dedicated server. Wednesday: 8pm - 2am Downtime for initial transfer. Services effected (Altis Life, TCAdmin, Staff Tools, Wasteland, Altis Life, All Project, Lab and Dev servers, Teamspeak, Website based tools, (Maybe I&A)) Thursday: 8pm - 12am Downtime for importing several services. Services effected (Altis Life, TCAdmin, Teamspeak) Friday: 8pm - 2am Downtime for anything not completed on Thursday. NOTES: All times are server time - AEDT. Please note that during these above times Lucky B33f and Red will not be contactable, except by Managers if critical.

I added the timezone to the notes. These times are the times I am able to work on it, so they won't be changing.

Servers are back online now.

Hi All, Our hosts will be undergoing maintenance on the 13th of March at 10am. All game servers, teamspeak and website addons will be unavailable while work is on-going. I will update this thread as the work is completed.

I have considered it and see almost no benefit to us of hosting one. I would have minimal control over the server and very limited access to gameplay effecting resources, not to mention the sky-high costs for hosting one.

We are working on getting a second server up and running with a different gamemode.

You should read the development updates, this is all explained in there.

I don't think we would change it, it is just meant to be a bank after all.

I have been in Japan for the last 2 weeks. Home tomorrow, I put a lot of thought into these things so replies aren't instant. That as well as being overseas can delay thing significantly.

@Fragnarr If you enjoy killing other players but don't like Wasteland, maybe try out our Exile server. I know you have built something up on Altis, but just because it no longer suits your desires does not mean we are going to change the core of the server entirely just for a few of the players. I completely agree with you about the rules, I much prefer simpler rules with less black and white. But that is out of my hands. I'll talk with some of the Altis Life staff and see what we can do based on the feedback on this thread. These threads do get our attention, every time one pops up there is a discussion about it in the staff chat. If you want I can make a new thread for players to list what they enjoy doing on altis life, and what they do not enjoy. What we would be looking for is not a suggestion for a gun store, or some other activity but instead what you expect from an altis life server. From there we can build a list of changes that are possible and figure out what would be best for everyone.

Half of Altis Life would be 4565 players anyway, as we have 9131 registered accounts.

Of those 3293 hours, at least 1000 were spent on Altis Life servers. Please understand that I am not here to make it difficult for you or any other players, I won't outright deny anything without prior though and discussion with other staff. As I indicated in my initial post, I was going to discuss the topic with other staff and get their opinions. What is the point in adding something like this into the server. It is just an excuse for you to kill players and skip the "boring" parts of Altis Life. What you are requesting is that we turn altis life into Wasteland, there is absolutely no roleplay involved in this at all. If you are wanting a special zone to just go an kill players please go to This server instead. It will accommodate your free-for-all desires. Altis Life is a roleplay server, instead of trying to push some KOS zone so you can bypass crafting and roleplay to just kill players. Maybe think about something that fits the core of altis life instead. If you are wanting to try and push an idea or feature to the server through the forums, instead of complaining and flaming staff/members who have an alternate opinion to you try and justify your ideas or provide some points that may sway their opinion. I can guarantee you will see more progress and faster. Here are some of the thoughts from the staff when we discussed the topic for a while. "I think it'd be a decent idea, but at the same time it's not providing much RP except it being camped in KOS" "It is an excuse to kill people... its providing exactly zero RP." Some of the solutions we thought up for this. "Move the air-drops to the KOS zone only with a requirement of like 20 civs online for it to drop" "Move the store around every restart and need 60 players online to access it"
