My point is that it isn't worth doing anything different because the most profitable thing to do is Gems, but doing gems is boring. I'm suggesting that instead of doing something boring for cash, the meta should change so that people are having fun whilst earning cash. Also, thanks for the link I wasn't quite sure what an RPG was ❤️

We can only do so much to change the meta though, there is a certain onus on the players to not do the things that are boring, and to find new, fun, and entertaining ways to play the game.

Almost all meta altering changes are met by autistic screeching...
I lowered gem proficiencies a while ago and all the rebel gangs lost their shit because they couldn't make max cash in a few hours anymore.

But it's ****ing boring. Nobody actually wants to sit there for hours clicking windows key to get a bit of fake currency just to go to the same old fight at capture points. Nobody.

Then do something different, this is a roleplaying game. We can only do so much to spice things up, the rest is up to you.

You can't do the same thing over and over again expecting everyone to enjoy it forever

I think I speak for the community when I say thankyou for the explanation, and obviously take your time & don't rush it. We don't want a ****ed up, slow, buggy mission file like we used to (rip server every 30 mins??)

This isn't supposed to be an attack or anything, just a question - the main page says server operation costs are 572 dollars a month, however last month pulled somewhere over 1000 dollars - where does that surplus money go?

I know a lot of other communities provide a dollar by dollar breakdown of what constitutes the operational costs.

    Regards.

That was 2 months worth of donations unfortunately, we forgot to roll the month over for the donation goals.

These are the donation goals, you can see than there isn't a goal starting 01/01 and ending 01/02

instead of being diplomatic and giving evidence and letting the people form their own opinion and force feeding your person opinion down someone elses throat

I haven't banned anyone for agreeing with Frank and i'm not hiding or deleting comments I don't agree with. I've only been providing my opinion of Frank and how he conducts himself.

As a server owner, unless you put proof, it's a serious allegation which paints a picture that your playing a game of pin the tail on the donkey

You can just look at the image from Wex of the steam chat, Frank fabricated that in an attempt to manipulate Wex and the other party involved.
Pretty self-explanitory, and if you want to tin-foil hat it I can just show you the entry for the message in the database.

Red you have a community of people that'll follow you no matter what, but doing stuff like this makes people feel like you're a maniacal tyrant on the hunt for every other server in the area

I haven't said a word about any other server in a negative light, even then, we initially tried working with Frank to assist him until he started actively poaching.
We provided assistance to TFO and worked with them to improve the Oceanic Arma3 community before they shut down.
We work with OutputGaming on sharing unique bans that are not hacking related.
We publicly list our hackers banlist so that others can take advantage of our anticheat.
There are countless numbers of communities that have popped up from StrayaGaming community members, every single time we try to assist them however we can.
But i'm the crazy tyrant hell-bent on trying to destroy these servers around me.

I don't have an issue with Franks server, or his community. I have an issue with him.

I just want to say that the staff team involved at the time wanted to be proactive and took a bit of a gamble. I retired before the update was ready and implemented, but at that time the following was true:

Most staff involved believed that by moving things to brisbane:

    • it would be better overall for the server
    • we can decrease the toxicity such as certain gangs declaring and shooting anyone, without those being able to 'get going' by evading them, as most things were contained in sydney, whereas in the new model it was spread out
    • Prevent the constant robbing of people doing 'newbie' runs which is often complained about by the non-forum vocal players (generally new or semi-new people) who at times waste all their money trying to complete one run and then quit out of frustration

However, the consensus with all was that we need to make the update feature-rich, and capture zones were a definite feature to be added at the time of my departure. What happened between then and the release, I do not know.

What I experienced with Frank during my time was someone who has breached our rules on a few occasions, specifically by ban-evading (a community ban) and popping up in our TeamSpeak server from time to time. Make your own judgement of him, but I will mention that it is extremely difficult to change ones underlying traits, so if he has indeed changed, really well done to you Frank, but on the other hand, don't just take a persons word that they 'changed'.

I appreciate the view submitted by Frank, however, the broad attack on both Wex's character, as well as anyone 'defending StrayaGaming' in the final sentence is a nefarious way to finish a statement in my opinion.

    Signed: Nevetos from StrayaGaming

From most recent discussions with him... He has not changed one bit.
The blatant lies are still there and he's still trying to manipulate people for personal gain. He's just as much a tool as he was when I banned him.

I can't comment on other things, but this is the biggest joke I have ever seen...

The only credible staff abuse of powers & abilities was from some individuals looking to 'leave with a bang' (E.g. giving themselves a big comp payout or nazi-fying  database before quitting) or the Wasteland conundrum.

The rest of the complaints were either from individuals who wanted to lash back out at the staff, or were so pissed off that they were stopped from breaking the rules that they managed to type out one sentence saying 'this person yelled at me' without a braincell left.

But seriously, while I was staff, there was surprisingly little actual abuse. It was sadly a bit boring imo... I would have preferred more ?

Probably because I beat the shit out of staff that do that kind of stuff, i.e the previous Wasteland administration.

Yeah, I should be dealing with it and I will... But not on a public forum.
We have process and policy, if you don't want to follow process and policy, I say tough shit.

It would've been simple reading through and obviously i'm not angry at police, i'm annoyed at management who have completely been incoherent regarding making the server better and even, but consistently making decisions without any idea on how the server is now, not 2 years ago when they use to play, either play the server and get a feel for the server is now or talk to people that play day in and day out and figure out how you want the server to improve.

The fuck do you think the polls, discussions on TS and discord, or the suggestions threads are for then?
