As Commissioner I can't have favourites but @orgug is probably the cop i'm closest to... we joined the APD on the same day and for months ran as partners on a daily basis.
-
a private moment between Commissioners, handing over the Commissioner's official residence in Sydney.

Outside of ARMA, for me these days its mostly World of Tanks & World of Warships that i'm playing on my PC. Over the course of my holiday ive played through Halo 1-4 as well as Reach and ODST, GTAV and the Mass Effect Trilogy.

Im also inclined to agree. I see no reason for command team to be banned from bein civ contractors except if doing so they begin to neglect their command and cop duties by never clocking up any time as cop. As for rebels im happy for the restrictions to continue to apply in all cases for various reasons.
-
Also SRT/ASIO guys gaining knowledge that could help them civ side (e.g locations of rebel's houses through recon and raids) this rule is enforced by the cop force to avoid cops at high ranks/special appointments from gaining unfair advantages i.e a form of meta, hence we make those guys swear off rebel for as long as they remain in those units/ranks. Anyone is free to play what faction they want, but they need to keep in mind that going down certain paths may preclude them from certain ranks or appointments in the cop force as per our internal regulations. The police Commissioner, his Deputies and Assistants have complete discretion at who ranks where and joins what unit in the cop force and are free to put on pre-requisites or exlusions as they see fit, they run the cop force their way in the same way a gang leader chooses who is in their gang and at what gang rank If you have an issue with this regulation on cop force, best to speak to @vizzN or @martin or @Sam I Am about it.

In RP, cops have informants who let us know where the dealer/processing/fields are (Narco squads the world over have informants, only makes sense we do, also why we can question the drug dealer to find out wbo has been selling recently). Hence why we rock up there from time to time to conduct raids if we see people there, all in accordance with server and cop rules. As for the sniping... well that one is a serious mistake on the SRT officer's part and if u have proof of the incedent make a report against the officer to the APD command team.
-
It has always been like this, and it is like that for a reason.... get given those ranks or appointments and you should be a full-time cop who is privvy to the innermost workings and tactics of the APD, thus you cant play rebel if you want to keep those appointments and Ranks
-
Note the reporting system requires video proof to substantiate the claim. But yes, Go-Karts are legal to drive, but you need to adhere to speed and recklessness laws as well as the others already mentioned

Browsing the Forums.... my question is "How and Why?"
-
Found the reason for the lack of choice

Except dont sit in the lobby because sitting idle on lobby is frowned upon

Because their points are asking to take SG back to the old days where gangs simply rolled over the cops 99% of the time due to simple overwhelming firepower, ruining roleplay and the fun for the cops. Other players have put forward more reasonable ideas: Giving rebs some more medium caliber weapons(including the Mk-1EMR), additional vehicles (hellcat and kajmans) and clothing while acknowledge the fact that the top tier weapons will remain craftable only (these suggestions i believe would be given very serious consideration. Crafting made easier by mass crafting and houses being protected against robberies by other players and to a lesser extent potentially police raids (answering one of the points you brought up before which you apparently said are being ignored). This isnt the old server and never will be, but reasonable, suggestions that dont simply break the new balance are given due consideration. The trick is in asking for reasonable things... not demanding to be able to buy top tier weapons or unduly restrict cop RP or responses or modify the server meta to give rebels free reign, just as cops dont try to give themselves free reign over the server... we self-regulate very strictly to ensure it isnt skewed too far to us.

One thing ive learnt from bein a high ranking cop.... always be worried when the SRT guys are quiet in the channel during one of these scenarios, they are planning something
-
What did you guys F up so Hugely that you had 58 people in helpdesk?
-
All police are equipped with non-lethal sidearms (with certain exceptions for SRT officers on specific missions). Also in very close quarters a taser pistol/rifle is much more effective than a Lethal pistol. This is in line with APD policies to capture offenders if possible, thus all officers have at least one non-lethal option to use if possible.
-
Ok, but it is still possible for police to raid houses and take the stuff inside? Because we only just got the raiding mechanics working in the rebuild for cops.
-
This would be difficult if impossible to enforce. This is due to the lowest ranking officers (the up to 4 non-whitelisted recruits) being issued only with non-lethal weapons (taser pistol and Taser Rifle). So you're asking us as cops to not allow them into a combat zone, despite from what you've said them being the ones to stop you at great risks to themselves? The logistics of it makes it difficult as each of these recruits is partnered with a whitelisted officer armed with lethal weapons, so that's 8 officers you want to keep out of combat or delay their arrival until they drop the recruit back at PD? Sounds like those recruits deserve Commissioner's Commendations, not to be punished by a change to the ruleset to not allow them to take part in firefights. -Superintendent SOB, GD Commander.

Bring on cop Knockdown rounds in next patch?

If you guys come back, and i really hope you do.... Bring Tracey. I miss her hahaha

Myself, John, or Gug and The Baboon were taken out on Saturday night for some training by Col from SRT with an RTB stop at the vehicle Garage. Things very quickly turned very hectic, seems we picked a busy night for it with escaped mental patients and the EMS and choppers and several uses of spike strips. These are some of the screenshots I took of the less busy times. if anyone else has some screenshots or videos of the more hectic sections then feel free to add them in.
-
Hey @vizzN look at the little prob constable here haha.... you've gone up in the world
-
@orgug Our first day on the force when we first met, ohh how far we have come since those pub slot days haha.... an SRT Chief Inspector and the GD Superintendent now haha
-
The lack of top tier guns and the scenarios you described sound like it is the rebels own fault, not the devs Rather than encouraging a gun running economy they just rob each other then come to the forums to complain about it. Maybe try not constantly hitting each other's houses... leave that to the friendly guys at ASIO.
