After the Fun Run/Swim and it's festivities had been completed, the task fell to @Roger Purple and @Spectral to pick a worthy recipient of the Altis Community's goodwill and charity, the winner was a man named "Mark" who had only recently moved to Altis the day he turned 21. Mr Mark was treated to a party and a showcase of the equipment used by the Altis Police Department as well as helicopters brought in by civilians for the event. He was also offered a position in Acquisitions Incorporated by the CEO @[AI] STALKER, the event was enjoyed by all including civilians who took the time to see police equipment such as Hunters, gunboats and the feared Blackfoot up close. On behalf of the APD and Altis I welcome Mark to the community and I hope you enjoyed the event and the gifts you received to help you on your way in Altis -That Lucky SOB (S08W). despite some hiccups early on the Altis Community came together to raise money for newly arrived citizens and the less fortunate with SRT Assistant Commissioner Bonez' fun run. I had my trusty go pro out and took some lovely snaps of the event to show the community spirit and just how many people turned out for the fun had by all (even the cops joined in at the end). Thanks to the runners as well as the volunteers from the EMS, Life Savers and the APD for giving it your all. On a side note, [FARA] Emanuel was the first person to reach the Police HQ from Peaches field. -That Lucky SOB (S08W). Duty Sergeant, Sydney Station.

So I was told to block off the road heading south out of Sydney for the server invasion.... let's just say I went 100% at blocking it with 1 spike strip, 8 barriers and 20 cones haha.

I can't even explain how I got the car like this haha

I agree, Something does need to be done and urgently to address the server crashes and the massive uptick in desync, lag and frame-drop in the last few weeks which has rendered the game mostly unplayable for me and probably others at peak times right now, confining me to early mornings or late nights if I want to play, which sucks because I love playing on the server and this community is awesome to be a part of but the server just doesn't seem to be able to cope with how popular Altis Life is at the current time. Like Stalker has said, no one here is angry or hateful, we just want to help the server grow and be the best it can be and we're just concerned on the affect the current crashes and lag and desync will have on attracting and keeping new players coming to the community.

Had more combat loggers than I could shoot an MXM at in the last week, been keeping helpdesk busy with it unfortunately 6 for me by last count. But that is more than made up for by settling into my new rank and training up the new batch of recruits and seeing plenty of potential as I take them through inductions and on a ride-along. The Police raids tonight by SRT was really good to see, been far too long since I seen a large scale operation put on by the SRT boys.

what I like most about this community, well there's two things that tie together that really make this community something I genuinely enjoy being a part of. 1st is the dedicated and professional admin, moderator and help desk team. These guys are too often not given the credit or respect they're due and too many people get salty at them for just trying to ensure the various servers run smoothly and fairly as well as ensuring the rules are followed by all. This combined with the 2nd factor: The people and community members who make up the StrayaGaming community. 99.99% of members are respectful and courteous to each other and just want to play the game and have fun, the type of people who will message "GG" or "Congrats" when you kill them or arrest them or otherwise defeat them and not get salty and abuse people. Those two factors tie for my favourite things on this server and always make coming onto the SG servers extremely fun for me

I understand where the seniors such as Dyet and Spec are coming from, but as a Constable who sometimes will be the highest ranked online or the only whitelisted officer: I'd like to know the pubslots and cadets I'm leading have some sort of protection if we come under fire. It might not be much but a vest taking even one hit could be enough for them to get out of that situation alive. I know the argument could be made that I could issue them with that stuff if I feel it required but that is quite expensive for me to do constantly. Just my two cents worth.

As someone who plays on a machine that is one or two pegs above potato, I'd prefer it without the Dynamic weather to give me a boost on FPS and the like
