I think the current PD we have is working well. The parking lot out the front has been used by medics, civilians and other guests and has been a place of some good role play. The current entry gate has promoted civilians to come interact with police in the "air lock" area while the second boom gate draws the line for trespassers or potential trolls. I say don't fix what ain't broken. I am pleased with the current map design done by Excel.

Only Sergeants+ have the ability to add to the wanted list, the majority of the APD population is below this rank. Therefore fixing up the wanted/bounty is critical for the economy. Simple solution to your hypothetical is making it so you do not get 10k for impounding your own vehicle. You are only eligible for the 10k impound reward for impounding vehicles belonging to others. In fact, it should be set that the officer needs to pay a small price if they wish to impound their own vehicle.

@LuckyB33f Maybe make it so that cop vehicles can ONLY be rented? It makes sense in role play terms, APD is bankrolled by the Altis government and officers do not own the vehicles that are provided in the line of duty. Vehicles could be assumed as rented/loaned for the duration of the shift. As a result, you could help the cop economy by: 1) Making vehicles rent only, so they are dirt cheap to pull out (ranging from 5-20k). 2) This will take a load off the database in terms of no cop vehicles being stored. 3) Impounding has always been 10k per vehicle, essential to the cop economy (currently getting $200-$400 per vehicle). 4) In game wanted system needs to reflect the APD database values. Currently a murder is $2000 bounty instead of $75k.

+ 1 to changing Declarations to Direct Chat ONLY - But keep side chat so the community can still connect and also allow questions to be asked/answered. I am against Side Chat declarations because it takes the role play out of hostile situations. People are 10 times likely not to comply with the dec and try to run because they do not have direct/immediate contact with the person/ground declaring. People are far more likely to comply with the role play situation if the declaring party has directly surrounded the victim. Removing Side Chat declarations will mean: 1) No more people declaring from 1km away 2) No more groups/people misled or confused by blanket declarations 3) More effort put into hunting and surrounding the target/victim 4) A better connection between the two parties 5) +BETTER ROLEPLAY (text on a screen is not role play acting, direct communication makes it all fair game)

Looking forward to negotiating a favourable agreement for both parties.

It's good the way it is now because no more duping weapons on rebel/civ and cops are nurfed because there is no more gear cars. People actually buy houses now because they have a strong purpose. It use to be that only garages were bought up. Good to see property being an essential part of Altis life because it is definitely an essential part of real life.

Our undercover ASIO team is bound by strict secrecy, they are to blend with the profile they have been given and will have the necessary equipment to have their "blue name" hidden. They shouldn't be any were near a drug field unless a raiding team has been organised by a Sergeant or above. If they are declared on, taking hostage, killed, etc. we are not required to take responsibility for them. They are bound by their agreement with the Altis government to be responsible for their own actions, this is to avoid secret ASIO operations being exposed. I completely agree with Larry's opinion with regards to 'declarations'. Side chat declarations are not good role play and most of the time end up in a blood bath. This is due to the person (being declared on) not having the declarers in sight. 90% of people end up running and around 10% will comply with the deck to roleplay. I would be an advocate for declarations happening only in Direct Chat whether you use voice or type it out. People will think twice about running when they are surrounded by the declarers. Side Chat declarations caused enough issues in Help Desk as it is, it would be worth trialing a new declaration system. It would certainly clear up the issue @Alienware has expressed, but also for all declarations on police. You would not need to make use of the police dispatch either, you could simply surround police and declare in Direct. Please contact me if you have any further issues, questions, etc regarding the APD's ASIO unit. ASIO will be a very active unit on the new server update, so it is important that all players are on the same page. APD Deputy Commissioner [F03A] vizzN

@LuckyB33f @envy @Aidanjr Just checked, build still has the old textures for cop (both uniform and vehicles). When can we expect the new textures? @Jay

Bye bye Greg, thanks for the laughs.

Nope, you may be thinking of the green pilot helmet. The *new* black Helicopter helmet does not have full screen night vision.

1) Cannot store helicopters at Sydney PD due to the NPC being too far away. 2) Restraining glitch (no zip ties conflicts) 3) Breath Test functionality (not present) 4) You can only revive civs with the defibs, need to make it so cops can revive cops 5) Cops cannot open boom gates with the "O" command 6) Cops cannot open ATM screen with the "O" command 7) Black helicopter gas mask needs to be scripted to be full screen night vision 8) SRT shop is empty. No weapons present. 9) Cannot buy carryall backpacks from cop store 10) Backpacks do not go invisible like they currently do on cop. 11) SRT button needs to make a "purge" like noise when activated 12) Night time lights at the Sydney PD helipad work but not at the PD building itself. Too dark. To be continued.
