StrayaGaming Squad Strayagaming is proud to announce that starting this Friday (6/7) we will begin hosting an 80 slot licensed squad server for the public. We hope to provide an enjoyable server for the Australian Squad community as well as all of our current PvP loving members. The server will be open to all and we are hoping to get quite a few people on on launch night and into the future, building a solid place for Squad within our existing community. We felt that Squad was similar enough to Arma that the playerbases had significant overlap and the community would enjoy the game. So if you like squad be sure to jump on the server once it goes up to help us build a strong playerbase!. Furthermore to coordinate with our expansion into squad DJ will be hosting a Squad Giveaway for a lucky member of our community, the details of this giveaway are here We have also created a forum section dedicated to discussions and suggestions for squad on both discord and the forums which will be up immediately for anyone who wants to make suggestions or ask questions in the lead up to Friday. Sorry these patch-notes were a few days delayed, I got preoccupied with the festive season Development N.B. Development General Changes - Added - Re-enabled thermals on laser designators (I hope) Tweak - Removed thermal camera from UAV's as a balance test Tweak -Reduced territory payroll a little per territory (750->650) Tweak -Base parts can now be unlocked/moved by any team Tweak - Unlocked base parts are now wiped on restart (actually rolled a week ago but documenting now) Deleted - Automated 50cal turrets from stores Deleted - Pier ladders from stores till i can write a workaround for the bug people have been abusing with them Comments: I'll be on holidays from uni for a few weeks after this week so I'm hoping to have some more substantial updates coming out after then Please give staff feedback on these small balance changes, we hope they will make things better on the newer players

Hey Everyone, We decided the easiest way to see the overall consensus within the community on the state of Altis life is just to ask! To that end we have created an anonymous google poll with some multiple choice questions answering many questions staff need to know about the general sentiment within the community. Please be honest as the feedback will help shape the direction of the server in the coming weeks/months. We value your feedback and ideas and will use the statistics generated by the multiple choice questions to make decisions on the future of AL. The more feedback we get the better can tailor the server experience to you, the players! We also hope that by making the poll anonymous that people who dont usually voice their opinions will feel able to vote/contribute without having to deal with anyone else seeing/attacking their opinion. I was going to reply to this last week but got busy and forgot. my view is that yes thermals can be OP but i still feel they have a place in the server, so the different proposals I have ideas for are as follows, Thermal scopes in mission rewards Thermal scopes cost a token or two/token tab in gun store. One thing worth considering is that you can buy thermal resistant armour/clothes (special purpose suit/GA GL rig/helmet ect for people who want to counter thermals/play especially stealthily. Either way i'm prepared to trial the change/making them rewards only in the coming weeks and then considering the change permanently if a trial goes well/until i can recode the gun store to support tokens too

INTRODUCING STRAYAGAMING's IAWARDS Today we are bringing you a new way to engage with our servers and show off your prowess within the community, The IAward System! We wanted to provide you, the players, some goals within each server and our community as a whole to work towards and be recognized for. The awards are designed to encourage positive and skillful play, and to offer a challenge at the same time for people who want to go the extra mile and gain recognition for their achievements. A list of all of the categories and awards can be found here. It also contains the requirements to be eligible for each badge/award. Alternatively you can access the award section via the award button in the top menu (seen below). If you believe you are eligible for an award and it has not yet been assigned to you message myself or another member of the management team to have us confirm your eligibility and assign the award. Please note that for the more dynamic awards in the AL section (such as Robin Hood, Criminal Master Mind, No Honour Amongst Thieves) you will be expected to provide your own evidence (videos/screenshots) to support your claim of having completed the tasks. The list of IAwards will keep growing over time as we come up with more. If anyone has suggestions for new/additional awards feel free to send them to me. Wasteland Tank DLC Event ~Tank Wars~ As many of you probably know the arma 3 tank dlc is releasing in the early hours of tomorrow morning. To coincide with this wasteland will be having a tank combat day! For the entirety of Thursday (12/4) all tanks will be only 20k on Wasteland (super cheap), including all of the shiny new DLC Tanks have been added as well,! We hope to see you all on so we can have a full on tank war all over Stratis. Come on and have some fun trying out all the new tanks and the new tank mechanics tomorrow and experience them in a full competitive PVP combat environment for yourself all day for next to no cost!

We arent out of the woods yet,the recovery of the server is still in its early days. But i'm happy to see we're been clawing our way back up the ranks and winning back many players who left, we just need people to come on and play and we'll keep recovering and heading upwards

What kind of items were you thinking? I would like to see community ideas for other things for them to be spent on though, because now i've built all the back end for the tokens we can do some more interesting things with them than just strong vehicles vehicles. I dont want anything too OP otherwise people who've played alot to get tokens will become too strong, but since they have to be earned by time/skill and cant be traded like money I am open to giving people some interesting options to spend them on like items/better starting gear, just nothing ridiculous. Also; Tomorrow I will be unlocking the token tab at the vehicle store to allow their spending as a trial to adjust the costs both in tokens and money for the stronger vehicles. So the release prices will be subject to change.
