  1. even better. give me back my zarmark mortor truck which I always had filled with static AT and AA so I can rule the AO once more ;) But yea. if driving a vehicle to AO, its not hard to put some static AA/AT into it and set up a support base just outside the AO where you can prevent the jets being an issue. just need a player whom doesn't want to be guns blazing to their death and be tactical in a support role.

    If the new DLC is better than the content one....maybe even the second IA server can rotate it also seems it has the DLC maps already Mon = Mal Tues/Thurs = Tan Wed/Fri = Pol Im sure more people will want to play aliens than german dlc lol edit: never know. could be new NPCs to put into Pol missions =P

  7. I used to play on the AL never used to be too bad last yr. Thinking about getting back into AL again soon. Guess I'll see how the cops are then when I'm back as a Rebel.

    The issue with doing AI CAS is the programming required....overall it has very little gain and more than likely the AI will end up hitting friendlies due to people running to the location and not being able to call off the strike as easy as a player pilot could. AI FOB supply run is also not worth it. It is easy for players to make AI drive to the FOB already....I do it all the time. just make a group, control the AI and have multiple vehicles drive to the FOB at once. having the commander have to capture the HQ wouldn't work well. what happens if they go AFK or D/C mid AO? a Commander also isn't a ground trooper. they would be at base controlling the battle not in the battle. As good as the concepts may sound, they are somewhat unrequired as can be done already and the programming required isn't worth the hassle. However with points being found, they could be something. Random unmarked missions on the map. like 1 squad in a village with an intel pad on a table for points. 2 vehicles driving around a location that need to be destroyed. Even maybe a small attack on FOB/base which defended gives points. Points should be more just giving assests or even the choice of between assests at end of a Side AO.

    we used to have a mortar vehicle...kinda….Zarmark MRL which was for the vets....and its use...was over used. A Zarmark with the mortar on the back maybe something else that could be useful. can load it full of tubes and bipods and have one ready to go at all times.

    From what people I know have said about the DLC it isn't worth it. I was going to get it but I have had a number of friends get a refund on it as was a waste of time and money saying the RHS mods are better quality than the DLC..... I'd pick the RHS first. prob wont ever buy the dlc unless its like 75% off

    *crys* MX SW is my fav weapon as AT so I can long range AT and shot. Sads! Im sure i'll figure something out. ^^^^ I do that kinda thing a lot. if im not AT/mortor/ironside and it is needed that is what people should be doing. your little RPGs are not as good as the weapons the other roles have. 6-7rpgs don't always kill what these roles can. just easier to change to them

    Yea.....I wouldn't recommend that. 1. can cause you to get on the bad side of some community members which is never good. 2. it gets you noticed by staff quicker. 3. this is why they restricted it. Always good to have a bit of fun and mess around at times, but normally need to keep it to a way that people with have fun with you at the same time =) Kinda like when I play as Mortor Team. I know how I can mess around but don't abuse it as I know i'll upset people, unless they are in on it =) Keep it chill for a bit so everyone gets to know you well then can mess around a bit more. =)

    Why would you even want the VR suit.... zero protection of any kind....1 shot and your dead basicly...no matter what you are carrying. You will find a lot of things are restricted Ptarmigann as don't fit in with the servers style =) Anything the role you are in can't use will pop up on the screen when you try to and tell you to. No racing/vr suits, lot of CSAT is locked, some weapons locked to set roles. Everyone is normally pretty good in game and will help you find a loadout that works for your role if need a hand =)

    This is I&A XD Sniper/spotter is a super rare thing to see as requires teamwork and for people to play more serious. I know we used to have a sniper/spotter job team but think the spotter was removed seems it wasn't used correctly. Only time I ever see this happen is with the vets working as a team and preplanning each others roles to be an effective team. though doesn't happen much also..... Though even with sniper/spotter teams in RL they both still had 9mms even if the spotter had a standard assault rifle as primary. So....9mm pistol plz Medic/sniper yea sure remove even RPGs from them. I think that would be good as they should be healing/snipering people and have the correct supplies not blowing shit up with RPGs... autorifleman/marksmen I don't see why they can't have an RPG. if they are stupid enough to fill up a backpack with RPGs and not enough ammo, then they need to learn the hard way that they ****ed up. Otherwise able to somehow limit them to 2 rockets?

    I agree the 9mm should be able to be used for the snipers. you never know when enemy squad is going to come up on your location, would be good to have it incase as trying to shot the rifle short range is such a bad idea XD

    We could also park this fella near the main base and use it as our air defence? that would be cool to see it taking out enemy cas. Im liking that arma is finally getting a proper ship that works than everyones mod attempts too make one. This could even replace the sub in the bay =P p.s. oh and maybe if a way to make it work as arty also? like a comp at main base which acts as the arty comp for it? so much could be done with this ship =D

    Yea it would be nice to be able to select the cas. I fly a lot of transport heli but never want to touch cas as most of the planes I hate. lol maybe a future update where we can give other players our 3 slots if we don't want to use them? either way being able to select the cas may mean I try and fly more lol

    Yea I knew I could do that but like you said. Waste of an AI. and if I am piloting something like a blackfish. I don't want to waste AI which ghosthakws could use for gunners.

    Bug with vehicles despawning too quick or at the wrong time I have had an Easter Egg Cheetah despawn when I parked it, went inside a building to kill an enemy and then came back out and it was gone. Likewise I have a few marshals and other vehicles do the same to me also when I wasn't looking at them. Most recently was a blackfish. I parked it at base to put a paradrop container into it, turned around and started driving back and realised it had despawned. And when it despawns it then auto goes to 25min wait time. Really bugging me as each time it has happened, it has been within 2min of getting out and less than 150m from the vehicle. There is no reason for them to despawn so quickly. Just messed me up so many times when midway through missions Video helps you see what I was doing. Thanks =)

    I do notice it to be easier but also a new challenge. Run around without weapons to take over the enemy. A few players been doing this. It does need a little tweak though as it does pop up a lot. Useful but also sometimes not.
