Altis Life Weather What a gloomy topic. Sure, the weather is making the server look more dynamic and what not, But really, Does anyone actually like it? I have a feeling, not many people if not no one, likes the fog, rain or what ever random weather patterns Altis has. I haven't seen a clear days weather in Altis since the day the heavens opened up (Quantum cleared weather) And well, that was only once. And I hadn't enjoyed the weather in Altis until/since then. Cons; FPS, I find it has quite an effect on FPS, specially for low end players like my self, if I thought I was the only one being affected FPS wise by this, I wouldn't have made this top, however I know quite a few people have this issue. Vision, This probably sounds like a gun fight revolving topic, "I can't see sh*t with this fog, I can't shoot him" or what not, But realistically, we haven't had a sunny day like the day Quantum cleared it in ages. Pros; Dynamic Weather, Sure, it gives us dynamic weather that may appear to be more realistic, Dynamic weather I think is the only pro I can think of for having this enhanced weather... I have actually gone blank on Pros, Please give me your input and make sure you vote in the poll Poll Answer Definitions "Keep the weather" - Make no changes "Remove the weather" - Make the weather sunny and clear all the time "Make the weather 50/50" - Make it sunny and plain half the time and the other half dynamic. I really didn't want to have to go this in depth to prove this however. False. Mr Rainbow was a known alias of Stalker, when the police where arresting I noticed this. If you read the brief, it said; I flew to the jail and I examined the man I was looking at in the jail and it appeared to match the man in my folder. Name changing/hiding up front.

What a month. With July over, I feel it is time to reflect on the past month, and set goals for the one ahead. I believe strongly, that as a community going forward, we look back at what has happened, and look forward to what lies ahead, We can not change what has happened in the last month, but we can shape and control almost everything that happens in the next 30 odd days. Over the past month, there as usual have been ups and there have been downs, everywhere, not only in the community, not only on Altis Life. Every where, all around the world, there have been difficulties and better yet, positives. Everyone in the community, staff, non-staff, new member, veteran member, donator, non-donator. Everyone has been a part of the past month, every will hopefully be a part of the next. Reflection; Donations; This month, the donations were in a bit of a pickle, there were some difficulties early on, but then, I think it was in less then a week, the community banded together, especially Altis Life to reach almost every servers goal, certainly payed for all servers this month. There are two main factors behind that. 1) @Spectral wouldn't have been possible without him. 2) The Donators, Trueblue, Dean to name a couple. 3 Weeks of Fun; The man himself, @Spectral put on 3 consecutive weeks of events, THREE WEEKS! Unfortunatley personally I couldn't attend all of them as most started past my computer time (of a week day ;)). They were just given such a big rap on the forums, around my gang, numbers were high, screenshots were capturing, the lot. Amazing events just from what I heard let alone attending them all! Gangs; This month saw a few new gangs, a few old gangs get some players back, not only that, the outstanding gangs prior to this month only got better; SP and PNX definitely developed over the past month, the rivalry became mate Vs mate, banter was controlled and moderated into perfect portions and sting, the whole SP - PNX competition really developed into a real Australian attitude, Ainc need less to say, they continued to perform their legal crusade with absolute perfection and high levels of RP. Staff; Staff were on point, this months administration and moderation seemed to work a charm, I can say for certain there was a lot less trolls and rule breakers around, credit goes out to them! More Personal reflection; Over the past month, I am quite pleased as to where Pope and myself have gotten our Cartel to. We cleaned up house, we decided to make positions in our cartel valued, cracked down on our members and ensured there was no members causing the Altis Life or Helpdesk staff any issues, making sure we were RP'ing to the best of our abilities, working with the cops, through thick and thin, this month definitely had a lot more ups and downs with the Police, however we stayed true and sorted those with no issue and are still working closely to date. My goals for this month will be very limited community based considering I will only be here till the 11th and wont be back till September 4th... RIP me.. :'( I will miss you all. However for the short time I am here, I hope to continue expanding and developing the Phoenix Cartel, simply just have to be continuously on my toes and thinking of new ways to enhance the cartel in general. What did you achieve? What do you want to achieve? Put it out there, public record, set this months goals - look back and think what you have to change to get away from the past and into a better future, or what you have to do to maintain where you are now? I agree 100%. The representation when wearing tags is extremely high, I personally know that almost every gang has had at least one issue with what someone did wearing that tag. It's the same as school uniforms, not sure what everyone else's schools are like but mine is crazy, No matter where you are, if you do something stupid (Illegal, Dangerous etc. etc.) in uniform and they find out, they will outright suspend you! I can't agree with not being able to rob people when there is less then 6 cops on, understandably in Sydney because it would just become a Camp and Kidney. Honestly I don't really think it matters either way, I don't see it really affecting people that much..

4 Way Test So recently on the forums, I have noticed myself and other forum staff often dealing with people posting content that has either started and argument or would be counted as flaming or argumentative, as this is quite annoying and can cause quite a bit of hate between members of the community, I thought I would share something I was taught this year at school, regarding content students were posting on social media, this was called the "4 Way Test", Nice and easy, the 4 Way Test is simply four questions you should quickly ask your self before posting anything essentially any where, I feel this can help you not only on the forums, but on social media, group chats or anything really where you are voicing your opinion that involves anyone else. Anyway, the four questions are as follow. 1. Is it the TRUTH 2. Is it FAIR to ALL concerned 3. Will it build GOODWILL and better FRIENDSHIPS OR on the forums; 3. Will it ADD to the topic or thread, is it needed 4. Will it be BENFICIAL to ALL concerned Now all I ask is that before posting, you consider the four questions, ask your self real quick and double check that what your about to post isn't going to breach the 4 Way Test. If it is, it probably isn't suited to the forums and may end you up in trouble. - Leopard
