Have you helped someone exploit? Have you exploited? Have you received exploited goods? The above things are a major game changer. It ruins the economy, it ruins the hard work of others. It ruins the server, not only does it ruin the server, it causes a lack of trust between players and staff. Lack of trust = less nice things and less privileges. Currently we know of some exploits, we could look at fixing them throughout the game mechanics etc, or we could make them pointless. Instead of $5,000 the price might become $250. Abuse it, you lose it. Trust in the Players So. With that said, we are offering immunity to anyone who comes forward within the next 24 hours and owns up to any of the above. If not, there will be no second chances. Once caught you will be removed from the server indefinitely. This may sound like we need people to come forward, we don't, we have a list, we have evidence, we have everything we need. Instead we want people to have to the opportunity to not be removed from the server, we don't like to remove people but cheaters will be removed without hesitation, (You can join the veryyyyyyy long list of people who chose to cheat and be dishonest). All confessions will remain confidential, and should be sent directly to myself, @Leopard and @TrueBlue. You're not only cheating yourself, you're ruining the server for everyone.

The New Altis Life Rules are NOW public. The new rules will come into affect as of 12 midday AEDT Sunday. Rules can be found here: Note: The Police rules will be changing in the near future. These changes will consist of most rules being moved to the police protocol. - S.G Staff.

Update: To give all players as much time as possible. The rules are on track and scheduled to be released tonight. The original date they come into affect remains the same. Monday the 20th.

As of the 20th of March, an entirely new ruleset will be introduced to Altis Life. On this day, the old rule set will become completely void and the new rules will be in full swing. The new rules are virtually the same to the old rules. Just a lot shorter (1000-2000 words instead of 15,000) and less grey areas. The rules were rewritten and restructured with the hope of removing grey-areas, reducing the limits on role-play and making them a heck of a lot easier to read and understand. - S.G Staff

Back when I played wasteland full time, I used all three view distances. 1. Maximising FPS when I can. 2. Being able to sit back and snipe 2km+. And the medium one was for the camping of gun stores etc. 500m-ish. Not only did it help with stopping those pesky floating hills, but it meant you didn't need to see 2km into the distance when shooting someone from 100m away. Essential feature. +1.

Recently, we added back in gang funds. This was abused by a select few and it was removed the next week. Simple. This week, we have added in body looting. Removing limitations on RP is always something I personally endeavour to do and I believe so do the rest of the staff. Body looting has a dark past. That is all I will say of it. It is being given another go on the server, BUT. If this is abused in anyway shape or form that causes an issue on the server. It will be removed either in a hot-fix or the next update. Simple. IF THIS IS ABUSED - IT WILL BE REMOVED - SIMPLE

Altis Life - Server Wide Discounts With the end of the month nearing and the last planned weekly update scheduled for tomorrow. It is with great pleasure I can announce the server wide discounts system is complete and ready for implementation. How it will work: Once the goal is half way, (157.5$) a 10% discount will be put in place. Once the goal is reached, (315$) a 15% discount will be put in place. Once the goal reaches half again, (472.5$) a 20% discount will be put in place. And lastly. Once the goal reaches double, (630$) a 25% discount will be put in place. For example, a huron. 900,000$ at a 25% discount will be only 675,000$. At the end of the month when the goal resets, the discount will be set back to 0 and the cycle will repeat. This system is purely designed to optimize and expand the amount of reward we can give to donators, without breaching the Arma 3 Monetization Rules. .. 0 Donators play a massive role in the development and upkeep of the server, without them, hosting a server would just not be possible. I think I speak on behalf of everyone involved with StrayaGaming, when I say, thankyou to all who have done so in the past week, the past month and even the past year(s). The lack of value for life is what led to the addition of a withdraw weapon script. This was used on other servers I have played on and worked really well. Meaning, if there is someone standing outside your car with no tyres and a gun pointed at you, you don't get out and try spray them down. You comply.

Please take the time to read this if you are in any way an Altis Life Player. This is quite a large change. - PLEASE VISIT THE ALTIS LIFE RULES - MOST SPECIFICALLY THE DECLARATION RULES - So about a week ago I posted a poll in regards to the declarations on Altis Life. The poll is now closed, Thank you to everyone who voted. The results were as follows; Option A. - 61 votes (49.19%) Option B. - 63 votes (50.81%) Due to the extremely close results, we have decided to implement a mixture of both, emails and direct communication declarations. Short Form: All side-chat declarations are being removed as of the next update. (24/1/17 6PM AEDT). The email system will be the primary replacement for this. And the voice system will remain as is with future improvements being looked at in the near future. Direct can still be used as it is now, remembering if you declare via direct you must wait for an acknowledgement. If you declare on a car that is driving down the road and they just keep driving as they were you can not assume they have seen your declaration. You choose to declare like this it is your responsibility to wait for an acknowledgement . In an expanded format, Email declarations will work like this. You will scroll, hover your cursor (the little white scroll-dot) over a person, car, helicopter etc. Their name will then be displayed in a smaller grey-ish white-ish font. This can be used only to declare via email. You must not use this name in role-play. The name given to you is to only be used for declaration communication. This is not meta, however using this name in role-play is. You must still obtain their name via RP face to face. There is a minimum and a maximum as to how far this name will appear (15m-500m). This is to limit long distance declarations with no intention on engaging them in RP such as a face to face robbery after someone has put their hands up. An email declaration will only have to contain the following: - Instructions such as "Get out of your vehicle and hands up". - A threat "....Or die". Direct Communication Declarations remain the same. Important: as a declaration on one is a declaration on all. The responsibility to inform the rest of the gang is the person who was declared on. If you are declared on and do not tell your other members, they are then killed by the people who declared. It is your fault. Not the people declaring. Always inform your gang members if you are declared on. This does not apply for police (see below). Important 2: if you are declaring on police, as you would now. You must either dispatch message all police, like you must now. Or use direct communication and wait for an acknowledgement.
