Short and simple. I propose that instead of every 6 hours having a restart. That time is brought foward to 3 hours? Maybe 4? Some days just 2 hours after the restart the FPS is bad and lag is UNREAL! Gooooood Evening gentleman and gentleWoooman. Mr. Snow Leopard; I have created this thread today to discuss something I have had in mind for a week or two. I am interested in creating, essentially a Wasteland gang, or unit. In game, we would just be a independent group, but I plan on becoming dominant over the wasteland server using planning and teamwork. I am yet to decide on a name but am open to suggestions! Thinking of just a number or short word or something simple that players will remember when we dominate them. * Sorry for the horrible writing structure * I am at the moment thinking of a 10 man unit consisting of; 2 snipers, 3 medics, 1 Anti-Tank, 1 Anti-Air and 3 Rifleman. These numbers could double or go up by 50% depending on the amount of given interest. - Information on classes // Snipers - Should be able to hit atleast a 2km shot with a sniper rifle (Lynx, M320) and up to a 1km shot with a marksman rifle (Mar-10, Cyrus, Mk1, Mk14 etc.) - Should not require to have a spotter to be successful. // Medics - This person is dedicated to reviving the rest of the squad. - You are still a key part to the combat situations, using a LMG or Assault rifle is highly recommended. // Anti-Tank OR Anti-Air - Expected to carry a launcher. ( of your choice except if you are Anti-Air you must carry a AA launcher. ) - Recommended to use an Assualt rifle. // Riflemen - Close quarter specialists using a Assault rifle or LMG is recommended. - Should have high level of tactical awareness and teamwork (Working as sqaud) Requirements - * Must have a microphone * Mature * Clean ban record (Minor offenses will be overseen) * Decent amount of hours on ArmA3 * Friendly * Cooperative * Active * Good teamwork skills Other information - As part of this sqaud you are dedicating your Wasteland time to the unit/sqaud. @Unit_3397 Ok I think I put the wrong vibe across. When I mentioned the realism and what not I'm not planing on having a full all out tactical dead serious unit. I want people who, whilst having fun are a good shot, good at their class and know how to play the game smart enough to be successful 90% of the time. Again, not dead serious, still have a joke around when something happens or on nights we dont feel like going at people hardcore. With love! I'm sure you will find some other rust scrubs around here somewhere that will help you and teach you the ropes. Never really got into the new rust or Strayagaming rust at all. BUT! I think midnight is too short but a week is too long. Every wednesday mid-day. I think there wint be real many people on of a wednesday mid day that will bd in the process of building a base, if you do it on a busy day when the pop is high people might have only just built a base if you get my point.

I hope it is just under the terrain or hidden. The power to delete a players gear straight up is OP asf.

4 hrs would be the minimum not only to not disrupt but to keep restarts at the same time everyday soemthing I think is important. Bodys could maybe despawn quicker, or maybe the suitcases and food could despawn quicker then the actual body. I think this might help when there are up to 1000 deaths per restart on a weekend. Im sure this will be implemented soon, as much as I would love to see if effective immediatley, I think the staff team a very busy with the current altis life issues etc. Etc.

Arrgghhh Mines..... (Doesn't really matter at 1.4km-2.2km but hey!) I really see no advantage in having mines in the server, yeah sure you can place em everywhere and hope some poor bloke runs on to them. I think they should be removed completely but for the sake of this thread I will say they should be expanded to a 300m radius AND friendly mines should have big icons above them just like friendly drones. I think that at the moment they are pretty neutral they don't seem to cause that many issues but have no real advantages. // Not sure if this is a bug but you can place bounding mines within 75m of gun stores?? // With love! Ive been every where!! I was a full time member of another altis life community, they didnt have a wasteland so I played over here. Never joined teamspeak or the forums as I had no need. Now im attempting to become more active both on teamspeak and the forums permanently ?

Well with the only other big time A3L community looking like its over.. (Housos) I think A3L I think even though A3L is still ArmA3 it would allow Strayagaming to have the only successful A3L server in Australia this essentially forces people into playing your server and if done right could see I would think anywhere up to 200 members in a month or two. Only issue with A3L is the amount of coding required as there is very little default to work from. Takistan is a horrible theory. The RolePlay is garbage and gets BORING really fast. Trust me. A bunch of 12vies running around with suicide vests that require minimal declaration... I do though feel a altered version of Takistan could be successful.. A less kill spree and Hardcore RP essentially a A3L lakeside but on takistan map.. According to a few people I have talked to, Takistan has quite a large frame that requires very basic and minimul amount of coding to be running in full flight. Overall; Talk about controlling the market, A3L is something no one has at the moment.. (apart from a dead and angry, no longer being developed housos community) and is a great attraction for the community. - Mr. Snow Leopard //See ya on the end of me .408//

As you say if a Modded map is to win, Possibly Spetnaz Weapons? The one containing the AK, M4, Glocks and things like that. Just a thought not even sure if it would work or what not.
