I am pleased with the results so far. Extremely. The first 12-24 hours were a shaky start for body looting however over the course of the development week, I have heard very, very few complaints. Keep up the good work as this only encourages the addition of other good features that do cause doubt when being considered for implementing.
  2. So as many of you most likely know gangs are what you could classify as super buggy... This takes up quite a bit a time for quite a few people. Staff who have to fix this issue almost daily and of course the people who are stuck in them.... This I know first hand is very frustrating from both, a staff and player point of view. So. @Connor. our Senior Developer has set to it to fix the gangs, he has suggested that the best way to fix them would be to do the following: Gangs are free, however they only last for a restart. Then they are all wiped and no one is in any gangs anymore. This in my eyes is a good fix and a viable option however before I commit to this being done, I wanted to ensure players wouldn't disagree with having this system. If you are going to have a say, please give a reason rather than just saying yes or no.

@James_Smith It wont matter who makes the gang as long as you're all in. I think everyone is looking too far into this. It is really simple.
  4. Leopard

I don't think name stealing will be that frequent to be honest....
  5. Leopard

@Salt It would legit be for a maximum of 6 hours. This is something to benefit most players, why abuse it.. <3

Sounds good, however. Cartels already do practically do this and if not, they could be. Cartels shouldn't be harming civilians (unless they are not complying on the grounds of the fields they own). Cartels assist police by taking down rebels when required. I like the sound of it. But as I said.
  7. Where - Sydney Garage When - 19/1/17 8PM AEST (QLD) 9PM AEDT (NSW/VIC/TAS) What to bring - Dress clothing - No rebel gear or firearms. The Sydney Garages have been boarded up and used for storage however the people renting their garages (Believed to be mexican gang members), have left the Island of Altis and stop paying. The owners of the Sydney Garage have decided to hire an auctioneer and sell of the garages one by one. Nobody knows the contents or the amount of containers in any of the garages. Garages will be auctioned off one by one with the highest bidder getting ownership of all inside items. Rules: No false bids, if you bid, win and decide to not pay this will be counted as trolling and fail RP. There is to be no aggressive actions within a 100m radius of the garage, anyone found doing so will be removed without any further warning.

@Aussie Dave I think it has to be the longer link, the one you tried with is like the smaller link, (share link? Idk) just try take it from top of page. Then paste it click enter to jump a line and it should work.

  12. Altis Life - A Change In The Declaration System Quite simply, side chat declarations are nothing but a mess. People find it hard to perfect the actual declaring, often getting called out for a fail declaration because one letter wasn't a capital.... This is changing, There is currently two options to replace side chat declarations, Option A. Names will be visible via scroll, if anybody played ArmA3 a few years back it was like this default in the game. With these names you must declare via email, declarations will be similar however just wont have to include the location of the person, the vehicle etc. In before everybody claims meta-game and what not, this is not giving the person declaring or the person being declared on an advantage, this is all but meta-game. Sure, you have found out the name. But. You are no longer broadcasting your location to the whole service (Which although is not meta-game has a more detrimental effect on the server). Getting names then emailing is no worse than declaring to the whole civilian faction. Names must still be achieved via RP in person, wether this be when you're robbing them "This license I found in your backpack has the name Father Yuri on it, is this you?" Following up from the rule, ID is a staple item and you cannot RP you don't have one. Pros: Declarations will always go to the correct person. Extremely low chance of confusion or missed declarations. Cons: Declarations from further ranges. - Side chat declarations are practically do-able from any range. The scroll name would most likely be limited to 500m. Option B. All declarations must be done in direct voice chat. I have seen this done on a server when Arma3 first removed the scroll names, it worked well. This encourages face to face RP rather than long distance declare and kill. The only thing that makes this difficult is the limitations it puts on declaring on vehicles in helicopter/car/truck pursuits. As well as the potential confusion of players not hearing the declaration. Pros: Face to face Role-play. Cons: Range on direct voice and issues created when attempting to declare on a helicopter or other vehicles. ------------------------------------------------------- I ask that everybody involved with Altis or who has experienced Altis in some way votes. This is a pretty big change to Altis Life however I feel which ever option wins, it will still benefit the server. - Leopard

R.I.P Jasper A touching thread. Amazing what they do these days as in the wheelchair (if you want to call it that). That allows him to keep moving.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This is something we will look at addressing in the near future. As for now, assistance is best found on TeamSpeak in the Altis Life Issues channel.

We'll see what we can do. Stay tuned.

@vizzN The Air Garage safezone can be sorted out. (Limit it to the zone it covers and the zone it covers only, like the vehicle upgrades buildings used to be. The office building closest to PD is too close for further events that will revolve around the government and their building. And no, the government/parliament building will not be a safezone.
  19. Leopard

@ExcelForce Negatory. I would prefer the casino to move to the closest office building to PD. And the government building go where the casino is.

As @Snowwiiee said, Ramming is fail VLR, allowing trolls to do something they enjoy, that would be allowed in the ruleset. Another way I see it is that when it is used in combat it's just lazy, get out and use your guns. Overall, not a fan of ramming in any situations the risk over reward of a successful ram is extremely unbalanced.
