The server has been getting better content wise but the player count doesn't reflect that.

Hey, I have already sent this to a few of you guys and have received some positive feedback so I thought why not chuck it on the forums. This video isn't intended to 'bully' any specific person or group of people but instead was made just as an experiment to gain some experience in regards to video editing. Obviously it isn't a great video as I don't have much experience in regards to video editing but I would greatly appreciate it if you guys could give me some feedback (good or bad) in regards to what you are about to watch. In my opinion (and I know it isn't a popular one) Navids and SPMG's should be brought back. Yes, they are overpowered which is why they should cost a lot of time and money to get. They should be high risk, high reward weapons. They were somewhat high risk last wipe but if they were to be brought back in this wipe.. the cost of either crafting or buying a navid especially should sky rocket. If used by the right person, a navid could determine the outcome of a fight. I personally believe that navids and spmg's were overused in the last wipe and especially towards the end but if brought back I feel as though the amount of navids used would plummet if implemented correctly. Striders are gone, and I'm happy they are. I don't like being desync rammed although it was funny at times, however server events that allowed the use of striders would be pretty cool to participate in.

First of all, I find it extremely necessary to give a massive thankyou to @Mitch. On behalf of every single person who currently plays Straya Gaming Altis Life, thankyou! I think it is safe to say that we all appreciate the fact that you are taking our opinions into account and ensuring that our voices are heard. It is refreshing to see that Altis Life is in good hands again. Secondly, after reading your recent announcement, I noticed that you asked for our input on a few things that may or may not be added to the game so here I am to share mine. Crafting - Personally I believe that the bigger guns like Navids and SPMG's never should have been removed. In saying this, it was quite easy to obtain these weapons considering how powerful they were. My solution to this is to make the ammo for these weapons only craftable. In saying this, the materials for the ammo needs to be hard to obtain and expensive to gather to reduce the activity of these weapons. Judicial Government - I have no say in this as I have no interest in part-taking in any Lawyer roleplay, but I do think it would add to the immersion. Rebel Takeover - With Sydney back in the picture, rebel takeovers are going to be coming back regardless. More robberies - The game 110% needs more robberies. Even when there were 2 banks (Westpac and Brisbane) it got kind of dull. Every body was accustomed to each of the banks and obviously after you do the same thing over and over again for a long time it gets rather boring. The way the game is now is terrible, there is one bank that is extremely rebel sided to start with and the positioning of the bank itself makes a majority of the community lose considerable amounts of frames that makes it almost unplayable. Luckily my PC is powerful enough to handle it or I don't think I would even hit or respond to bank. A good start would be to add another bank or even another 2 banks and potentially changing the position of Westpac would be appreciated. Formalising gangs - I don't think that gangs need to be "formalised". Gangs are essentially a group of people who share a common interest and work together to achieve goals. It is not necessary to implement anything that isn't already in the game to make rebels more formal. There are already gang bases which create conflict between rival gangs, for example when one gang decides to have a gang war with another gang which has control over a gang base. At the end of the day these are just my opinions.

Please consider what Wex stated in his recent post, the staff team or the management team or whoever the **** is in charge of changing the state of AL need to be more proactive and less reactive. To sum up what Wex said, the staff team tends to wait for the server to die before they make any considerable changes which seriously needs to change if they want the server to ever reach what it was. Please consider what the community says and actually implement things that we ask for. For example bringing back Sydney as the main city or making capture points for rebels are really simple ways to get people enjoying straya gaming again. Yes, sydney was a troll's heaven but it was what made straya straya. You guys are trying to change what made straya great in the first place. When I think of good times on straya gaming I don't think of driving around in my quilin at the airfield and declaring on rebels every five minutes... I think of placing spikes on sydney bridge and waiting for cops to roll up so that me and a bunch of other civs that I have never met can all kill together. That's what straya should be about, bringing people together. No offence to anyone in particular but it seems as of late that the people in charge don't play on the server and therefore could not possibly know that an m320 is a sniper not a grenade launcher, I mean ummm... they could not possibly know what the server needs to gain a player base. Honestly was such a great experience roleplaying with such a respectful and dedicated roleplayer. In all my time on Altis life I have never been so surprised by such great lawyer roleplay, I even said it to you after processing your clients and gave you and your assistant $50000 each to encourage more behaviour of the same sort. Due to my role within the APD I don't usually experience much roleplay so to have you walk into PD and present yourself the way you did was a really nice change. Keep up what you're doing man, it truly is being recognised

Leave the rule making to the admins and actual people who know how to run a server. I do agree however that the server was far more enjoyable with Sydney as the main city. Sydney felt like home, it felt like an actual city with a little added cancer. The way the map is set up now just feels like there is no place for people to just go and hang out and it sucks to see. I think that every change to the server was great except the removal of Sydney, but that's just my opinion. Like I said, we should give input but leave it up to the people who know how to run a server to make changes where they see fit.

Firstly I had no idea about the stats change so thanks for that I will check it out. Secondly, there is no doubt that @James32 is a great help to the server and the community as a whole. The guy has made so many changes to Wasteland and has really tried to bring it back to its glory days, and although I believe he has done a good job.. there is still work to be done but I am sure that if he keeps taking input from the community and tries to perfect the server as much as possible the old Wasteland will come back. Can't wait.
