It seems as though all the players who used to play left or got banned and since then the server has gone to shit. I find it pretty sad that a player who hasn't played on the server for a very long time (possibly over 6 months ago) still has the highest kill count @Dymium. What does this say? It says that nobody is committed to playing the server like they used to. I'm not saying that we should try and get the OG squads back on and playing (which I think would be absolutely amazing) but I am saying that the dev team and whoever else in charge should be giving players incentive to want to play on the server. Adding tokens and useless shit like that may be "innovative" but clearly it isn't working. Bring back the days when FBI, Bullet and Blue Eagle would be up in jets obliterating campers whilst invictiis, myself, neanp and dymsym would roll as the ground squad protecting the airfield for resupply. Bring back the most raw form of Wasteland where anything goes... No rules, no regulations. Just pure carnage. I will try to get a few of the boys back on. I played the server last night and got 40 frags on blufor against opfor sweats with a navid and a hunter so idk what ya'll are talking about when you refer to stack-for. Any good player would froth at the mouth of the enemy team being stacked, easy frags lads. In addition, get more mods and admins. Thanks <3. BTW love you linksy babes. from Rizen. @Links

I'm making this post because I am over the support team's decision making process, maybe they have a skeleton or structure they have to follow so that punishments are not entirely up to duress but it's not very good. I have been banned 6-7 times for RDM or whatever and I got banned for 2 weeks... 2 weeks. Come on guys, surely I deserve a perm ban by now. After 6 times of not following the rules one can assume that the lesson isn't being learned and I am not taking the server seriously. I am using myself as an example to get to my main point, help desk needs to be tougher. I have lost count of the amount of times I have recovered evidence of people breaking rules against me, yet I never go to help desk. Why? Simply put, help desk is useless. Don't get me wrong, I think that every member of AL staff is great and I have no issues with any of them but the fact that they give out soft punishments like warnings and watchlists to people who are known on the server and are aware of the rules is just bull crap. Fix ur shit. thx

To add to my prior statement, Wasteland should reward players who work together. For example a group of independent players who work together to claim the airfield should be able to buy jets which should be overpowered af. This would force players who are dedicated enough to find others in the community to play with, building online relationships. Consider it.

Literally everything @BulletL said was spot on, maybe instead of looking at what the "majority" wants you should consider the opinions of those who care about the server the most.

Cops are so bored @Red. All the half decent rebel players have left for other servers and now the only people who play on civ are either in shitty gangs who can't shoot the broad side of a barn or stooges with missing chromosomes who want to troll in Sydney. Nobody is bothered to spend all that time crafting for a navid/spmg when they just get overwhelmed by 30 cops whenever they try to bring it out, oh yeah and then risk the chance of getting raided by @FarmerGeorge98 if they get caught. Cops should have more advanced weaponry because in actual fact the police in real life do, but I wouldn't class a machine gun as advanced weaponry... I would class a ghost hawk as advanced weaponry, and guess what cops get that as well. Stop favouring cops and give rebels incentive to actually create a gang and put time and effort into the game, instead of getting ruined by the sweat lords who play cop. @Big Kev @Tonic @Chadd. Lowkey got a 2 week ban but I still love the server and want to see it changed by the time I get back, I am planning on playing full time cop but I want competition which is why I'm making this post... Can't wait to join detectives @FarmerGeorge98 ;)

Hahaha @Michael Steiner it does happen, I personally have slaughtered 5 unarmed civs purposefully in front of @nclem and @Daywalker. When I say purposefully I really mean that I forgot I was on cop and thought I was on civ and started poppin heads left right and centre. I believe I got around 5 kills. Before you shit yourself, the issue has been resolved in HD and I was forced to comp them a total of 2mil. Worth it though.. ;)

Hey lads, very recently I had a pretty bad experience with the police whilst playing on civ. I drove to the PD in order to report a crime and immediately got shot at by a pub slot. Seeing as though that's a dec, I drove out of the PD carpark and waited around a corner to kill the police officer (as you do xD). After I killed the cop he returned and instantly started shooting me, meaning he meta-gamed and broke NLR. I managed to kill him again as well as the other 3 cops online at the time. Once the police called the dec off, I messaged the highest ranking police officer who is also staff (I won't name him) and asked him to train up his pub slots. I don't necessarily blame the officers who meta gamed me but I am disappointed at the lack of effort of the higher ranking officers in the force. Anyways, later on in the day whilst playing under the alias Jiinx I attended the police checkpoint that was set up and got arrested for avoiding the checkpoint. I tried to roleplay my way out of it but it didn't work. This is what happened next: Now once again, I don't blame the pubbies for their actions I'm sure they didn't have much experience and were unaware of what they were doing. I instead blame the officer who completely ignored my request to train the pub slots. Police force, pick up your shit. The lack of effort is sad.

I understand that, but I wasn't driving so why on earth should I have my license or any license on me? I don't think anybody is getting the point. This post is just to encourage seniors to train pub slots ESPECIALLY when asked to by a civ

Roleplaying a soldier who shoots everything that moves is a bit different to roleplaying a police officer that has to follow protocol and server rules before even taking a shot. I see your point though, the roleplay on AL is underwhelming at best. By that I mean that if there even is roleplay, it's usually pretty bad.

Just reading all of this now and I am absolutely baffled. I can't remember who exactly said it but I agree that recruiting within the APD needs to be stricter simply because there are too many dirt bag cops on the force at the moment. No body is perfect, I get that, but it needs to be said that the cop force (not everyone) tends to shoot first and ask questions later. That means tasers, knockdowns and even lethals. I'm really confused as to why some officers even take lethals out on GD, it's extremely unneeded agains civilians with 9mm hand guns. Also I hear cops complaining a lot about civs who are able to pull out weapons at any time and end them without thinking twice and although that statement is true, it is an invalid argument. Shooting is a dec and therefore by "shooting first and asking questions later" you immediately declare on a possible gang member surrounded by his friends but then wonder why you get shot in the back of the head. Many cops say they shoot first to avoid rdm but in most scenarios it's better to take the minor L so that for 1. you yourself don't get in trouble for breaking protocol and 2. you can get the rule breaker banned. Is it not more satisfying to get idiots banned then it is to just kill them and have them return in 5 minutes to do it again? This brings up my next point. Admins/support members, you guys need to take into consideration the amount of time that people take to gather evidence and upload footage. By helping clean up the server these people lose time that they could be spending having fun on the server. I have had the opportunity to get many people banned personally but have decided not to waste my time because of how long it takes. Compensation needs to be given to players who report rule breakers in order to encourage people to take the time to help out and clean the server of filth. I have been to help desk a few times and every time I get told that "it will be looked into" and "they will be put on a watchlist". I then get a thank you and get told I can leave. I'm left sitting there like "Did I seriously just waste all of that time for the guy to get put on a watchlist?" It deters people from trying, which in a way inspires this "shoot first ask questions later" culture I keep referring to. Changes need to be made!

As I was reading over my comment from earlier, I realised that I may have came off as a bit of a dick in the way that I explained my thoughts. I didn't mean to criticise you guys as admins because after the recent wipe I can honestly say that all the current mods/admins are great. Bring back old Wasteland when Links was admin. I just loved playing wasteland back then. I remember when groups were able to build fortresses on gun stores and defend against attacks and shit like that. Get rid of central as a super town and put the south gun store back up at LZ connor. Remove all added buildings and leave it simple. Honestly, if you admins don't take advice from the people who play wasteland the most then you have rocks in ya heads. PLEASE, these changes need to be made. It's not a coincidence that every person on the damn server agrees with my views. @Red @LuckyB33f @James32
