Police need to rework their escalation. I think the first and foremost thing to do in a situation is assess the risks involved, whether that be 2 enemy occupied striders, or whatever. Then, choose a response appropriate, to the risks. I'll give some examples of what to do, and what not to do. Example 1. A lone shooter in sydney on a fairly quiet night -> 2 units respond, 1 primary, 1 as backup/scouting etc C**ts coming into sydney with no f*cking rp whatsoever -> 3 hunter hmgs Rebel occupied PC1, 1 Strider, 1 Navid -> 3 units, 1 Marksman, more ready for backup Obviously these are just my opinions but you get the drift. Police keep hammering small gangs and rando civ gangs like theyre *SP*, and get an inflated ego. Then when they fight *SP*, they wonder what went wrong. The small gangs / rando civs then stop playing civ / leave / join cop, leaving only *SP* to create all of the big situations. **SP meaning any big/decent gang with a reputation for it** The CO needs to stop waving their dick around and just respond with what's needed. If they lose a situation, oh well, cop gear is cheap, (Obviously send other units but dont just pull a Marc_R) Which leads to a nice segue, Back in the day, there were 3 or 4 extremely active, superintendent equivalent ranked officers that would basically direct the whole police force in day to day activities; they would still delegate as needed, but were a good single voice that people could rally behind. I'd like to see more of that. The current CO system is too untrained, varied, and has so many differing opinions that GD officers don't have the consistency in command to be able to get into good patterns, and learn to roleplay outside of the handbook. One day I'll properly return to the force, and hopefully get on a clean slate with whoever has beef *cough* with me, but that'll probably be a long time away seeing how far discipline records go back xd

+credit to excel for the design looks absolutely amazing i think im in love @Zorgain

@Sagara No it's not. It's about modelling systems of governance and rebellion in a caricatured exaggeration of society. "dunt ruin mie immersion with fun" - someone 2k17

I think the green military 'bunker' thing, should be removed. To me it looks a little out of place, but if there are no other alternatives, then its a +1 from me.

When police enforce new operations or target new areas. Criminals don't ask for help from the 'gods' (well, some probably do), but my point is, instead they adapt. If PC1 actually becomes a feared place (i doubt it will), rebels and the like can simply avoid it. Relocating/Redesigning PC1 will only help the server.

I'm thinking purchasable warehouses etc that start as bare bones storage. You can craft & purchase modifications/upgrades to them that give them purpose. For example, a private area to grow or process drugs, (takes a lot longer to actually do though). If Police raid the building they can seize the modifications and storage. Balancing and limits on the options and mechanics behind it would be necessary. But to think I could have my own weed hydroponic growing warehouse and processing lab, that sounds epic to me. Civilians can use the buldings for processing of legal goods, or any of the other ideas posted by others. New Idea, worth tossing around: You can turn your warehouse into a chop shop type thing, and say you do some good ol grand theft auto, you can park it inside, and have the option to sell, scrap, or steal the vehicle. It takes time depending on the option and the type of vehicle. Sell: sells it for 75% buy price Scrap: turns it into steel, plastic etc Steal: takes it out of their garage, puts it into yours, but it is considered unregistered by any police radar, rego checks etc. If the police get hold of it, impounding the vehicle doesnt return it to your garage, instead it deletes it. I think the conversion of your warehouse into a legal/illegal business should not require just money, instead many of the mined/gathered resources from the world. Obviously the warehouse itself should cost a good ol 30mil or something to avoid people buying them all straight away. There also should be some kind of activity check and maybe rent you have to pay before it becomes defunct, and even sold automatically (etc if you dont use it for 6 months) I also think the cash system needs to be overhauled. Doing legal activies gives you cash- legal cash. Doing illegal activities gives you dirty cash There should be quite a few places on the map near city areas where you can process (launder) money. And you can only purchase houses/cars/warehouses etc (civilian items) with clean money. You can still purchase all the rebel stuff with dirty money tho. You cannot store dirty money in atms. You can store it at any gang hideout/rebel base/cartel etc etc, and maybe a few other 'black market atms' :p

It was a POLAIR test to fly through that bridge and make it out alive.

1. What side are you usually on when attending a bank robbery? I mostly play Cop, but have played civ often 2. Why do you rob bank? Mostly for the roleplay, but a bit for the cash 3. What roles do you usually play when at bank? (explain what should be easier or harder to do with the roles you play) Normally Cop, but the few times on civ, I have been the teller (do nothing), marksman (shoot da cops), external in a vehicle (distract and bait kills) 4. Who should the bank favour? Cops 100%. Rebels overcome the police with tactics, surprising plays, and lack of protocols, not to mention gear *navids pls*. 5. What style of bank and surrounding buildings do you prefer? I think there should be ONE bank with solid water access, and a 'bridge-like-structure' for land vehicles access (*cough* neri *cough*) As for the other bank(s), mixing the style up would be nice. I'm personally very into dynamic changes, so even if the bank structures were on some kind of 2month rotation, that would be cool. On a side note I think a bank at the current shady doctor, (military structures on a hill), would be nice to attack and defend from. And for the roleplay I think we rename any banks outside of a city a vault (ie Westpac Vault). Also I quite dislike the bus station feature, it is nice and all, however may I remind us all of a time before the bus stations, where POLAIR was used for transport, hell, going even further back, where there were police stationed at other cities too :p. I know it's a bit boring out there, but it had its clear benefits, and served as good opportunity for extensive training without disturbing the main gameplay. Anyways, I'm getting off topic, but it's all related to how the banks play out.

It'd be cool to switch it up a bit, maybe meddle with the presets for the missions. I like it, but not sure if it's worth the work on the internal side of changing all of the scripts etc

And of course the role wouldnt just be used to create bloodbaths, all sorts of mini events and interactions can be created. I call it, god-assisted emergent gameplay

The only thing I can say to this is, say I'm apart of a *trusted* rebel gang; I produce this document every week, but in reality just keep all the money to myself and gang members. If ever questioned, we can just say we did plenty of runs and robberies right. I'm sure with some analysis of the server logs, proof would be found; however my question remains: is there an easier alternative to stop factions from doing this. As some other input. I proposed a while back to the manager at that time, a set of roles within the server that are strictly dedicated to RP, which was what I actually thought the community team was when I joined it xD. An example of one of these roles in action would be to contact different factions command, and tell them to do certain things, e.g On Thursday 7pm, go to Paros chapel; you will find a *insert interesting but not OP item here*, then go and tell a cartel that they have intel of a gang arms drop at the same location & time. Bam, instant bloodbath outside of sydney with some roleplay attached, now everyone is happy. Of course the roles wouldn't be limited to just this, and would probably be at the same level as a moderator or whatever, you get the idea. This same role could manage this kind of system to ease the load on actual administration/moderation/banning RDMing ****s Please comment your opinions, and if it's a big enough discussion I'll make a whole topic for it.

Name: Moygstar Callsign: Z08E Date of Disciplinary Action: 01/10/17 What Disciplinary Action was placed against you: POLAIR 2 Week Suspension Who were you Disciplined by: @Hope , @Mitch Reason for Disciplinary Action against you: ****ing around on cop after warnings Why the appeal should be accepted: Considering the circumstances that I am willing to discuss, 2 weeks off of POLAIR which is pretty much half the reason I play, is in my opinion (shared by many others), excessive. The whole reason anyone plays video games is to ultimately have fun. Taking away 2 weeks of someone's fun for something as trivial as stacking helis in the PD, in a moment I was not needed, just seems wrong to me personally. If accepted I won't do this again. Any other information: After being warned about the Wetsuit ordeals I have since stopped doing that crap. Far worse **** than this goes often unpunished, even if witnessed, purely because of rank. P.S. Isn't it called POLeAIR?

But it's not just the trolls. It's the players who are a part of the community whom yet choose to play AL in a certain way that doesn't break the rules, yet makes the server cancer to play on quite often. I don't wanna ramble on too much but there is a systematic issue with the attitudes I reckon about 50% of the players have. Some are far worse than others, and mostly it's in irony and just joking around. But there hasn't been a day where I have seen some actually dedicated roleplay, regardless of the trolls. It's not a very serious RP server and that's okay, people breaking character and the like. What I'm trying to refer to is what I can only best describe as people are playing Altis Life just like another Survival game, doing everything they can and are allowed to do, to put a situation in their favour. The problem is that not everyone can have their way, so there is this attitude of rule-bending and paranoia created to accommodate; so that people have a less of a chance of losing their belongings, money and otherwise. TL;DR - People need to learn to literally not care as much, and to just be nice. So in the words of Jesus -"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another."

@Pizda This is one of the worst things I've ever read on the forums. maybe post something actually useful like Pezza. The forums are a place for opinions and discussions, if you don't want to be a part of it then I don't know why you're here.
