    @Specialist

    what are your qualifications?

    Nutrition or Pt?

Ive got my Diploma in fitness and my own PT business. I agree 100% with what you said. I personally don't agree with training twice a day, simple reason of it can cause you to over train and fatigue your muscles a lot quicker, but of course if you eat enough macros you will make gains.

ATP is essential in the first 10-30 seconds(as far as I remember) and then it's good ole carbs or fats.

As for my pre workout, I'm trying a new shake- Prana muscle mass. 30g protein 30g slow release carbs, if I feel like it I'll blend in a banana or peanut butter for extra carbs and healthy fats.

There is nothing wrong with creatine or beta-alanine. I'm using Doom pre workout which has like 31% creatine, 25% beta alanine and 4% caffeine. (Not one to suggest pre workouts or supplements) but they can/do work especially if you want those gains, whether it be strength, muscular endurance or mass. I personally have found results with my pre workout also, using creatine and the BA gives me more energy and strength throughout my sessions and absolutely no crash with it.

End of the day I can't say too much about supplements. That's all up to the experts. @CreedJr

Wasn't expecting such a huge reply again but it's come in time seeing as I've bumped up to a minimum 3-4 days a week at the gym.

Thanks @Specialist and Gotenks for the reply! I honestly haven't really been looking at pre workouts, just been eating natural carbs and proteins and a good healthy feed after the gym! Something like an egg on toast with some greens goes me, maybe 2 or 3 of those.

Coming from retail where I work souly around phones and technology; I would base your phone hunt off what use you want to get out of the phone, what specifications you'd like to have and what your budget is. I mean you can get a 13-16MP Camera Phone for between $300-600. IMO; But just depends if you're someone who likes to have the "brands." (i.e - Samsung vs iPhone.)

Thanks for the detailed reply! I am pretty open, I was looking at the google pixel as it is reasonable-ish and considering I use Google Photos, Google Calendar etc. I do love the google suite.

I have just been looking at the S8 and it looks AMAZING, I have always been used to a crappy iPhone5 and so it is time to get myself an upgrade, haven't really thought about a budget although that is something to take into account as I am about to build a new PC :3. I am not too fussed about the camera I just want decent quality. I really like innovative functionality like the S8's Induction Charger (I think that's right) and how the home button is actually the screen, retina unlocking etc.

I agree have an Iphone 5 as well whilst there is many pros to an Iphone there is just to many things that can and will go wrong plus, they are so expensive to be fixed if you break them or something happens to them

I am in the same place, a while ago I spent over $100 to fix my iPhone 5 haha. I should've just bought a new phone! :o

  3. G'day gents,

Okay, so as per the title. This discussion is about smartphones, and no. There isn't a smartphone that is 'the best', they each have their own perks and it usually comes down to personal preference.

With an outdated iPhone, it is time for an upgrade and all options are on the table... Google Pixel, MAYBE S8... But really at the moment, I am leaning towards a google pixel because it does everything you need a phone to do plus I use google calendar etc. for my daily routine.

Anyway, each phone comes with its pros and cons and I am interested to hear about everyone's opinion, what you prefer, and those who know a bit about phones I also want to hear from your expertise, I am sure we can get a decent discussion going because almost everyone has a smart phone these days.

    Cheers ~ CreedJr

I have to disagree, anybody at base had more than enough support.

All I can say is, this might be a video game etc. But it is a simulation of war, in war, I have the opinion there is no such thing as overkill, therefore nether enough support.

People just get into the nearest helicopter, if you are sitting at an altitude of 14,000 ft then those people don't even have a chance of getting into your helicopter.

By the time you think "all the other helicopters are done better drop altitude and pick up the passengers" the helicopters would've done their rounds and already be back before you. It is because of that immaturity and non-logical method of being a pilot that you would have had that ban placed on you. And bans may NOT be negotiated via a Discussions thread. If you have a problem, do what everyone else does and write an unban appeal. Tagging @BridTheAtl

Also Corsair coolers are the way to go with closed loops. I'd suggest the H60 for this budget range.

Is there's a difference between the Antek and corsair cooler?

    No. Not for Arma III.

And I think I'll stick to i5, I am under the impression i5's can prove optimal for games?

Thank you all for your input :)

  6. G'day Gents,

So after owning an i5-4460 and GT 705... It is definitely time to upgrade from my low spec PC to something that can run Arma properly (should I find time to do so as I am now focusing on school) but nonetheless wanted the communities opinion on this build I am proposing

Compatibility seems alright the only issue I think is the cables? I am a novice at PC building :3

Thank you all for your input!

Was my first time actually editing a video, so I tried to add some subtitles to make it interesting (Who is SovietWomble?) Thought this video would be a nice place to start ;)

Seems to be you found your video editor!! I am curious to know how you did it... And don't pull the "a magician doesn't share his tricks" quote either... Maybe PM it to me if you want but good to see your finally getting into some video editing!

Arma physics are, well... Arma, I remember once in a cop chase my Tyre hit the gutter and I went about 200 KM in the air! It does do what the game is supposed to do (for me anyways) and that is entertainment :p

  10. Hi mate!

Even though windows movie maker is not supported you should still be able to download it, im not that much involved in video editing at the moment but I am under the impression there is a YouTube editor, or you could download the GoPro editor and upload MP4's worst case scenario

perhaps someone more experienced could offer further help @BulletL

@CreedJr howd it go? were you able to cook dinner on it??

Managed to rig up a Heat sink with a tube leading to a hotplate, had bacon and eggs in the SG Staff Room this morning with some of the staff members, @Brodie was happy because when his mum saw the computer could turn into a barbecue when you tried to open Minecraft she saw that it was good value for money at last!

Alright, I have gone through and cleaned up this thread, hiding posts when people multi-post etc. And so I will also use this as an opportunity to issue a warning to all, this topic is becoming very largely discussed, and everyone has a different opinion. Nobody is in trouble, but this is a warning to ENSURE that this thread remains civilized, please watch your language and think before you post, will it annoy or "trigger" someone?

Key is to think before you post and not to be immature, those who do flame or are immature have been warned.
