These rules have already gone inder intense discussion and scrutiny from rebel leaders, cops and staff and the current ruleset is what we arrived at. It mainly acts to prevent gangs from exploiting the game system and hitting bank when it is mostly low ranks on and the bare minimum number online with overwhelming force and firepower to make easy money or gold... i.e: oh you want to rob bank with 4 probs and 4 pubs on, when you got a dozen guys with top notch guns wait... a wild SRT team appears. Also it is the robbers responsibility to escape through a firefight or negotiating (as in actual RP). Not the cop's job to come in there and face you on your terms. We are free to wait you out until you make a move or mistake. Current ruleset is balanced enough as it allows both sides to reinforce themselves without either side being OP.

RIP anyone flying when this happens hahaha

Very much no to this idea, too many times get ambushed or decd on and we don't have the time to draw weapons before being able to return fire in combat situations. and remember the roleplay narrative of Straya is that Altis is in the aftermath of war and civil strife and constantly armed police acting as peacekeepers to allow the civilians to rebuild their lives is a feature of that. Ozzy might have been different but that was Ozzy. We'll holster weapons if a specific scenario of roleplay requires it but basic policy is to be prepared at all times for possible, even inevitable rebel activity. -SOB, ASIO Superintendent.

yes, yes i did

Granted, Your deputy will be the most annoying and incompetent person in existence and you aren't allowed to fire them. I wish High Distinctions in all my classes.

This script would help ALOT with decs and stop third partying a lot. as for UC units don't make it a white listed civ slot because of the massive metagaming aspect to it. We're tinkering with how we're going to use the UC units in the rebuild, ASIO (formerly known as SAD) will be rebuilt and have a specific job, atm we won't have UC units randomly wandering around New Altis

my reaction when I heard SP had taken 3 or 4 9.3mm sups from cops "Oh no, how will we ever replace that 12k worth of gear" just remember, easiest way to annoy a rebel: remind them that i can buy 50 IEDs for the price of one of theirs haha. Highlight of my week: someone bringing an armed offroad to Sydney and having legitimate reason to bring out the Ghost Hawk. Keep the good times rolling SP, good to see you guys active again.

Haha now this is the stuff i come here for. Good stuff from both sides and fun all round. Wish i coulda been around for this lol... guess this is payback for that time i blotted Father Yuri out of the air with a Titan AA hehe ? Look forward to the next Fed with you guys.

What happens when I end up at reb one when playing civ with my cop tags and name. The Rebels losing their minds at having the ultimate kidnap target and thorn in their sides right in front of them but they can't touch me.

IGN: [F01A] That Lucky SOB Rule to be Added/Removed/Changed: Changed Rule in question/Basic Idea of the rule: Increase of cops required to Syd Banks to 8 and Fed Reserve to 10 Why?: to increase the challenge to robbers wanting to hit those high-risk-high-reward targets and ensure an adequate number of whitelisted officers are online to respond. as is Bank can be robbed with as few as 2 whitelisted officers and fed with only 4 whitelisted officers.

Rebel inside house = Immediate threat = No warrant needed

Seeing as we had our beachside campfire interrupted, after we proceeded to wreck the salty robbers we decided to have a party, complete with sheep for the Kiwi in the unit. @vizzN @Zorgain @Roger Purple

the APD sends their regards for the Navid, TWS, Hummingbird and 2 striders you left us

Having seen that even SP admit that it does keep an eye on the cop counter to maximise their own chances. It reinforces my opinion that Rebels will need to stay used to the concept of cop reinforcements (within reasonable timeframes) at bank and especially fed. Real Cops carry pagers or other communication devices, if something major happens the pager sounds and orders can be issued for more officers and specialised squads to respond to emerging situations. you want to try and game the system to be fighting against 4 taser rifles and 2-4 stings with top level weapons at bank or fed, nope have a surprise SRT team. If reinforcements are to be banned then the numbers of cops online to do bank of fed need to be bumped up to make up for it and avoid game-breaking disadvantages for cops and keep things balanced and most importantly fun for all factions, things get too skewed either way and people quit because playing that faction becomes a chore rather than fun. 8 for Bank and 10 for fed would work as a bare minimum as a trade-off.
-
Another problem is you could have gangs watching which cops are on and choose to hit it with the bare minimum and only low ranks online. the cops need the opportunity, especially or Fed to call in reinforcements as we are having to react and we dont get a say on when the banks and feds go. if this rule were changed to stop us getting more officers to respond before engagements begin, it'll disadvantage the APD to a game breaking level.
-
in my opinion and probably a lot of the cops: the situation starts when the two sides engage, once the two sides are engaged with each other then any new comers should stay out of it.
