What are your thoughts on people being blacklisted on police for being apart of another Police Force/Life Community?

If I'm online next time you guys are running an RBT, I'll be there to moderate it and make sure it's a strict rp zone.

If a cop tells you to pay some money otherwise you'll go to jail, that's considered fail roleplay. You need a proper reason to be sent to jail in the first place. If you had committed a crime where the punishment results in you being sent to jail, a cop asking you to pay $100,000 or you'll be sent to jail is an acceptable form of corrupt roleplay because you had a reason to go to jail in the first place. Just to clear up on how corrupt roleplay works in that instance and what type of corrupt roleplay is acceptable in the server.

Internal Affairs is to investigate into corruption and misconduct within the Command Team. Not the entirety of police. That is left to the discretion of Command Team.

2 Months ago this may be the case but now now.

Escalation Graph is being worked on and it isn't the problem. Ghosthawks and HMGS are rarely pulled at a bank or fed. That's your call if you don't want to pull out more vehicles out of fear.

I don't see many people denying that cops are overpowered at this current stage. The problem is trying to find a way to balance it. Last time the server tried to find a fix, cops were extremely under powered and rebels were winning banks/feds 90% of the times even when outnumbered with them losing barely any players. It was unfair to the point where cops were forced to not respond to banks because it would go against the value your life rule. The main arguments people are bringing up is cops having access to hunter hmgs/ghosthawks. A total of 6 people have access to these vehicles. 2 of which are active in game during the holiday period. The only time I've seen HMGs/Ghosthawks being pulled out is when SRT is called to clean up Sydney. Sure you get them pulled for a bank/fed once in a while but it's very rare. Things like being outnumbered, cops having an abundance of gear and armoured vehicles are valid points. We're trying to fix this problem, we've put limits on what gear SRT can bring out. We're trying our best to prevent every single cop from responding to banks. If you have any suggestions on how to balance it out, please suggest them instead of complaining about how cops are overpowered. There's a few reasons why there might be a large number of cops. A) It's the holidays. B) "If you can't beat them, join them" mentality. C) Lack of Content for Civs. D) People find more enjoyment playing Cop than Civ. Some of this is out of our control and it doesn't help when we only have one developer doing all the work. Instead of trying to find a balance between cop and rebel. I think it's probably better to focus on rebel vs rebel. That way, players are only restricted to how much money they have and not what faction they're in. When a gang is well established, then they can take on the cops. For the time being, we're trying to make it as fair as possible by updating the protocols. Just a few days ago I've restricted what cops can do during house raids to prevent cops from taking everything you've worked hard for. I've made a few suggestions on civ vs civ here: https://strayagaming.com.au/topic/17081-a-bigger-focus-on-civ-vs-civ/ There are some cops who prefer to roleplay and there are some who prefers being in combat. It becomes very annoying to those who would rather roleplay but is forced to get into a combat situation every 10 minutes. The idea of a better focus on civ vs civ would ease the pressure on cops, allowing them a bigger window to have their fun and civs can also have their fun instead of trying to fight cops all the time. Something that I suggested as a temporary solution is to increase the money you get from Westpac/Brisbane or make it relative to the number of cops online. When the risk outweighs the reward, it's a serious issue. Rebels should be getting 5-10 mill from banks if there's 7 of them fighting against 20-30 cops. Distributing 1-2m between 7 players is pointless. This would also motivate rebels to grab more players to rob banks so that they can secure the reward instead of just doing it for the kills.

The Traffic Enforcement Group (TEG) was essentially a highway patrol division with an unusual name. It was by no means a division with the sole purpose to do traffic stops. The idea was pitched to me by Nclem and it would be a shame to let all the effort he's put in go to waste so he was given a 2 week trial to see if this division would work out. Now I'm open to all ideas about a new division, but they won't be receiving any additional benefits unless they can prove themselves. TEG did not receive any benefits. The Highway Patrol subdivision is something that would help us guarantee that there's people out patrolling the highway instead of sticking to General Duties within Sydney or Operations as a Detective or an SRT officer. We would like there to be patrol units across the entire map, however we don't want to force people to do what they're uncomfortable with or don't find enjoyment in doing. Sure the CO could order someone to go on highway patrol, but we don't want to appear as a dictatorship and would rather have people volunteering for these roles rather than being forced to do them. There's nothing stopping a group of mates to come on and ask the CO if they could go on highway patrol. We want people to enjoy the server and we want to avoid players from leaving because they're being forced to do something they don't enjoy. A lot of changes within the APD is trial and error. If it doesn't work or needs fixing, we'll make some changes and find a way to make it work. If it doesn't work, then we'll remove it. In terms of Sydney Patrol Units not being allowed Checkpoint 1, there's nothing that states they aren't allowed past there. The only restriction is given to pubslots. Most of the times people who are up there will get told to return because it's unsafe for them to be too far away from the rest of the APD. Hopefully this will enlighten those that are sceptical about the idea of highway patrol as a subdivision.

Can you provide the names of the officers who gave you a ticket in that situation? We're trying our best to improve and maintain the roleplay quality of cops, but we can't do that if people aren't reporting them.

Only thing I can think of where people can work for is an achievement system and have it show up on a leaderboard similar to how Wasteland and Altis Life does theirs. https://strayagaming.com.au/wl_stats https://strayagaming.com.au/al_stats

This is what it would look like if someone got kicked by the bug. A simple kick with no reason in the message. This is what it would look like if someone ALT+F4, pulled their plug, or closed Arma 3 without aborting to lobby and disconnecting from the game. Sometimes these kicks can happen randomly and not intentionally by the player, but they happen for a reason. The one above is the Bi glitch.

I came into the channel and you were constantly switching back and forth between another teamspeak. When asked to stop by me, you continued to do it one more time, then left the teamspeak and server right after saying something along the lines of "**** cops". Now I was going to let you off for swapping between teamspeaks while playing cop, but what you said after you were caught then leaving the teamspeak was what made me issue the blacklist. What reason did you have to swap between teamspeaks while playing cop and continue to do so after being told not to? As for the watchlist you were given for metagaming, I had no part in that and did not report it to any moderator. You'd have to go to the admins for that one.

    1. What side are you usually on when attending a bank robbery? Cop 2. Why do you rob bank? Don't rob banks. 3. What roles do you usually play when at bank? (explain what should be easier or harder to do with the roles you play) Cops 4. Who should the bank favour? Robbers should have the defensive advantage of the main and surrounding buildings, cops should have the advantage against people who are away from the main building (e.g. roaming striders) 5. What style of bank and surrounding buildings do you prefer? Prefer a bank that is 90% urban warfare with lots of buildings surrounding the bank instead of driving around in vehicles 70% of the times. Brisbane bank is probably the closest to this. Fed is the worst of the three banks and needs a rework.

Denied, don't bother making another appeal.
  20. I think it's meant to say out of character. The name tags above players head is an in game feature yet considered metagaming when using it.

This includes hostage situations. When someone initiates a hostage situation, the CO must respond immediately, even if you don't have a negotiator assigned. Say something like "We will be arranging a negotiator, please be patient" or something like that. Short and simple, instead of having them messaging us every minute telling us to respond or the hostage is dead.

I'll give my opinion on the video and some of your comments. We do not handle rule breaks, if you want to report the baiting/metagaming then go to help desk. You have made some valid points. If someone is shooting towards another person or a cop, you have full right to shoot him. But this player was escaping in a vehicle with his wheels disabled. He wasn't going anywhere. If you had killed him earlier when he was shooting at people then it would be fine and you'd probably only get a small warning for using an MXM on GD if anything. From this video, he hasn't shot in over a minute. He wasn't a threat to anyone. If he left his vehicle and started shooting or even aiming his gun at someone then you can kill him. But you had every opportunity to go up to him and use non lethal force. There were 3 officers from what I can see, you could have covered them while they moved up to get a tase/knockdown on the suspect. It doesn't matter if they have 1 count of murder or a million, if they are in a position where they are unable to escape or harm anyone, unless they start shooting again, killing them is excessive force.
