  1. R&D would be more fun if it was split into 2x locations - where at the successful completion of the 1st teller, rebels have 45 mins to then hit the second (starting a new dec)

    meaning every one who died (rebels and cops) can re-gear and go to the second teller for a second fight (like a mini taker over etc)

    have the buildings spaced apart in different towns maybe?

    Hahahaha that would be crack up as, a sports hatchback that ejects you if you go over 100kmph ?

    Or even a heli that ejects you if you fly above 200m high

    A second hand vehicle dealer (air and car/truck) in sydney or where ever- whereby, the cost to buy the vehicle is half or less that of the normal store but, your purchase spawns with a twist,

    the vehicles come out with random "wear and tear" that cannot be fixed, for example:

    - a fuel tank that only fills half way
    - yellow wheels that cannot be fixed
    - Has a faulty NOS that randomly goes off unexpectedly
    - car reaches 80kph and if they drop below that speed they blow up (i.e a speed bomb but you dont know its there)
    - the previous owner was a weed runner so the inventory is full of unprocessed weed
    - helicopters where anti-torque propeller is damaged
    - trucks that were modified by the previous owner so has a higher cargo capacity etc etc

    (these are just random ideas but ultimately would be funny as **** for some of em)

    Whatever state the vehicle is in is completely random where only sometimes they come out completely normal (so you get a good vehicle for a low price) - if you dont want to risk a crappy second hand that will prob kill you and others around you, then go to a normal store and buy a full price one lol

    We could call it "Abdul's super cheap autos" - for you my friend, very special price!

  4. You should prob be more specific in your post. You CAN play as a civilian without taking leave for senior sgt+ (not sure what detective protocols state as there is a stricter level of trust involved there - im speaking from the GD perspective).

    The GD protocols state you can play as a civ, you can do runs and even dec on other civilians.

    what is limited and requires leave to participate in is the following:

    1- robbing houses

    2- robbing banks

    3- taking hostages

    4- decc'ing on and specifically targetting cops

    5- use of rebel gear specifically for the intent of just randomly hunting people down and killing them

     

    The above will likely see you in regular combat/being captured and processed by your fellow peers in the APD, we have many sgts and below who frequently do all of the above and have no issues. As we only have 1 GD senior sgt and the rest is command i dont see how this affects you?

    I suspect your issue is more with SRT/CIU protocols perhaps?

    according to NLR, when someone die and get revived by medic, he should forget whatever happened and do not join the last combat
    and other bystander should forget about him as well. but the people who killed the player, the cop or rebel or civ, can somehow magically still remember that player who have been already killed and arrest/hostage taken or even redec on him is just doesn't make sense from the point of medic at all.

    i think the original point of this idea is to to keep the bounty claiming ability from cop, Cop can arrest the revived player process them and jail them in order to claim their bounty on their head which just don't make any sense and break all the possibility of revive. i mean a normal player with 70IQ or more knowing a cop is near by waiting would just respwan rather then revive and taken to PD.

    and because of the cop keep arresting the dead, the rebel start taking cop hostage as well. that's one of the major reason why people , the cop and the rebel won't even brother to wait the revive and straight up respwan because they can afford the cheap price of their gear.

     

    i have been explaining this to the cop, when you kill a criminal, you have executed the death sentence to that player, any further jail sentence would be a joke and the ability of recapture player is just breaking RP and the role of medic.

    may be the server should make the bounty claiming at the point where the person got shot down, rather than the point where that person respawn, so we can end some non-sense waiting and stop taking people after revival.   

    by that logic tho:

    if he truly dead tho, medic cant revive him cause he is a dead corpse?

    if he get revived, he shouldnt be allowed to pick up his guns or grab his vehicle cause he wont remember they are his?

    so, for a medics purpose to be valid, reviving means that the person did not die, they were saved and kept their existing life and can grab his stuff back.

    i still suggest that a medic revivng some one that removes them from the battle (e.g. teleport revived person to hospital or to rebel/cartel with their gear minus what they dropped etc) is better, then cops cant touch them - same for cops, if revived they are teleported to hospital or PD. Then medics can run in and out of combat revivng and rebels wont hesitate to request for a medic.

    then you just need to make sure the medics value their own lives and dont get themselves killed... e.g. a rule update to something like "medics killed by crossfire within 2km of a bank will not be considered RDM" - doesnt mean people should target the medics as there is no value in killing them, but if they get in the way and caught in crossfire then thats the medics problem not the rebel/cops

     

     

     


  6. yea i can appreciate and respect that for rebels, when a rebel wins a bank i always respawn cause the last 2x times i was revived i got taken hostage haha. 

    I guess that's originally why i was thinking if a rebel or a cop is revived  by a medic and it respawned with their gear at a hospital in a safe zone (like in GTA) where they cannot be touched, it would be better cause then they are out of the way of the dec, they are alive hopefully faster cause medics will want them revives and wouldnt have any reason not to revive some one in a combat area. (gives them a tactical element too i guess). and would be interesting watching them race through a battle field (being a distraction etc).

    Could even put a medic outpost in cartel 2 so if you get revived at OG you go back to cartel to grab a new gun and race back?

    back in the day when i was a medic, there was heaps of gang on gang decs around weed and heroin, i use to love flying in and reviving dead rebels and having banter Or setting up a medic outpost that turned into a massive rebel battle ground lol. I miss those days.... Feels like most medic interactions are from cop vs rebel fights now

    you think i enjoy getting killed at banks and having to sit and wait for the combat to end before i either respawn or get revived? no, but thats the penalty of getting killed. Cops go through the same stuff just as much as rebels do.

    But I'm not the one here demanding they get rid of medics, which has developed its own community of people that really enjoy the game, add its own dynamic and can help with the server pop cause theres usually a few of them on. Maybe you should get some "knowledge of the server before you say stuff like that." im sure none of the medics reading this are feeling all that great getting slammed on.

    People leave the server because there is no mission or purpose to the server any more. If you werent at a cap point or a bank theres nothing else youd be doing. Gems are OP and make money to easily and the drug fields/illegal dealer are pretty much always empty. the small gangs get shat on or have no idea how to get big, the big gangs keep merging and rebranding instead of fighting each other. Its boring.

    you should have 1 life, 1 opportunity to win the combat, you get killed then your out. Either take the respawn timer as penalty for dying or wait for a medic. Coming back over and over outside of the capture points on a robbery is just dumb

  10. update the server for the following: (note: all 3 points are together and not separate)

    1. - medics can revive you even if you dont request for medic.

    2. - medics revive respawns you with your gear your wearing (minus what you dropped) back to the nearest hospital. This removes the issue of combat reviving where most you dumb ****s just rejoin a dec after you have died. Leaves your gun and inventory items on the ground like normal but your body and everythign you are wearing is saved.

    3.- if the medic is in an ambulance van, you respawn to the van rather than the hospital.

    This removes you from the dec, keeps most of your gear and or if the ambulance van (or maybe the medic mohawk heli as well?) you respawn by the vehicle.

    the only reason the medic wont revive you near gunshots is because in the past to many people would whinge and moan that medics were combat reviving. rebels would go to HD and cops would just arrest the medics. so yea makes sense they arent gonna risk themselves on you..

    maybe hit up some ingame chat/broadcast messages

     

    is there a rebel or cartel TS lobby where people can sit and wait for a gang recruiter to come talk to them? @bouda118

    i remember there was a contractor phone but cant remember if the there was a gang lobby?..

    I agree and i disagree on this point...

    The rule was specifically about gang tags, not about names. The purpose of the rule was to add balance back to the Cops vs Gang scenario. in rebel vs rebel or civ vs civ combat, when dec'd on, you all use the gang names to identify who you are fighting and who you can incapacitate or target.

    for cops, its even easier for rebels, you can just look at the uniform and vehicle and see the cops coming long before you see a name tag.

    in Sydney it was worse, rats would dec on cops, walk up to them and chase them then wait for the cop to turn around and kill them. The cop couldnt do shit until a hostile action was taken. This was perhaps the most stupid part of the game I personally had ever seen. This isnt roleplay and a life server you dont dec on some one then stand next to them for 9 mins and walk with them then shoot them. People wonder why the rule change came in, blame the way the rats would dec/then in plain sight be trolling.

    I agree with you though, it removes alot of old roleplay which was fun. Cops having to trick you into revealing your identity or catching you breaking a law and decing on you etc.

    Sydney should be the pinnacle of roleplay on the server, but its not, both civs and cops are to blame.

    Cops dont want to roleplay with you if they cant stand still for longer than a minute without receiving 3 or 4 decs in that time, they are not going to bother with RBT or trying to give you a roadside ticket cause in the time it takes them to finish roadside roleplay, theyd have been killed 4 times over by civs with nothing better to do. Cops should be trying to tase and restrain, but half the time they try take you back to PD, people eject out of vehicles while in restraints (not VLR) to kill themselves, they scream in their discords for friends to kill them (as a retired mod, i cant tell you how many times i have heard that in evidence videos provided "just kill me before he takes me back"). The side chat of gangs cohesively telling eachother exactly where cops are and working together etc. Then when they do get you back to PD, the same stories told over and over again, then laywers come and do the exact same thing every single time.... i look forward to seeing you nigel in the processing rooms cause its always really funny. Other lawyers seem to follow the same lame script and nothing changes lol.

    At the same time, Civs dont want to roleplay cause aside from runs outside of city limits, the only thing the server offers is combat or being a troll/rat. So back to my personal POV, theres nothing to do in sydney lol. So what roleplay can civilians do? theres no jobs or points of interest in sydney. so being a rat is literally the main point of Sydney.

    After wipe, cops left sydney - the city was abandoned and the pop near but all died. Cops barely saw civs or rebels only to occasionally enter into boring dsync battles or banks. Civs basically left the server cause all they wanted to was be rats. The medics try to role play and often get told no or to **** off.... aside form revives all they have is verbal roleplay "are you ok, you need to come to hospital with meso i can roleplay operate on you" etc - no one wants to to do it tho  and for the medics theres nothing in the server that gives them anything else to do (i always wanted to see extra things like endemics or plagues etc) No jobs meant nothing really to do and because people dont have purposes any more, the roleplay that goes with it is dead.

    So yea Roleplay is definitely missing, every faction has a part to play - medics really need to learn to drive - i personally believe we need a new meta or purpose for rebels and civs to do and enjoy where combat isnt the main focus, but a resort they will happily go to if you interfere with their purpose. Then Roleplay in my opnion will start to come back.
