Greetings fellow Space Engineers!
To celebrate Space Engineers going to full-service on StrayaGaming AND the introduction of our new modded server, we will be hosting a demolition derby on the modded server at 20:00 Thursday 28th November 2019.
Rules:
- Small-grid rovers only
- No power source allowed as this will be supplied
- Turrets and missile weapons not allowed
- Can use gatling guns
- Ship tools not allowed
- Nanobots not allowed
- Rovers may have horizontal thrusters
- No vertical thrusters
- Upon arriving a reactor will be placed on your grid followed by the shield mod
- You will be eliminated when/if your grid is destroyed OR you lose your reactor
Prizes:
First place - 1xZonechip and 2x ZPM
Second place 1xZPM
Third place 10k gold ingots
Time:
20:00 Thursday 28th November 2019 on the StrayaGaming Space Engineers modded server.
If you can't build a rover one will be spawned for you but may not be as good as others.
Please join in early to ensure your rover is ready to rumble!

Warlords Weekend: RHS Edition - Battle of Morut Pass

Operation Objective:
Two teams will start in bases on opposite sides of Lythium, one of Arma 3’s finest maps. Between them lie towns and strategic locations populated by enemy NPCs. Your mission is to clear out those locations, capture territory and gain credit - thus allowing you to spend that hard-earned credit on new units and assets which will assist your advance to the enemy territory until their home base falls. This is a persistent real-time operation that will run over the entire weekend, and you can join at any time.
Equipment and Resources:
The full range of Arma 3 RHS and vanilla assets will be at your disposal, yet dependant on the amount of game credits you have to purchase them at any given time. You will also have the ability to recruit AI players to your squad, also subject to game credit.

The operation will commence on Friday 18th October at 1800AEDT /2000NZST on the StrayaGaming Zeus Event Server (#2).

This would be easier to setup. Perfect for Syria or Afghanastan scenarios.
Isla Duala needs CUP terrains core to work, same with Fallujah and any other Arma 2 map. We need to keep it simple.
It's a nice map, but combined with JBAD is around 3.5GIG. I'm not sure there would be much appetite for a download of that size for one map. Or is there?

The CUP Terrain mods add many of the Arma 2 and Arma Cold War Assault maps, however those mods are ****ing massive.
Isla Durant is a good standalone.
I don't think we will want to use CUP at this stage.

Along with CBA and Achilles. None of those mods are a requirement on I&A Altis and I&A Malden/Tanoa, although you can load them if you so desire.
However the I&A Event server requires RHS: USAF and RHS: AFRF. Join us on the event server tomorrow night for modded mayhem.

Note that with StrayaGaming recently moving to up-graded servers, your Arma3 bookmarks/favourites will now be invalid.
Search Straya in the Arma 3 browser when you next log-in and the new servers will appear.

The StrayaGaming Arma 3 I&A community is alive and kicking mate. With two dedicated servers, and regular events each week, we are aiming to keep Arma 3 fresh and interesting for Australian and New Zealand players alike. Welcome back (I think AussieDave would be more than happy to see you as an Ironside team-mate).

Some players may find they cannot join I&A and receive the script restriction #26 message. Unloading CBA and Achilles mods should resolve this.

A pop-up Zeus mission will run on our event server after the servers restart tonight at 1800 AEDT. You will require the RHS: USAF mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843577117 to participate. The mod is about 1.3 gig. The event server will open at 1800 AEDT and the event will will kick off 30 minutes after that. The password for the event server is "straya".

StrayaGaming I and A Event Server (search "straya" to find the server, which will be active 30 minutes before the operation commences).

Objectives:
An Armoured Platoon was in the process of returning to base after a mission, and was ambushed and all crewman assumed dead.
Force Longsword has been tasked with retrieving the Armour and Securing the Area.
An advanced convoy of CSAT armoured assets has been spotted by long range UAV moving into the area.
Longsword are to move and destroy the convoy with any available assets.
Intel shows there may be units moving ahead of the convoy that pose a threat to friendly armour.
Airborne units unknown.
Alternative objectives may available once the area is secured.
The operation will be based on the Tanoa map and have a focus on armoured elements.
There is no predetermined structure for squad and individual roles, so it will be up to players to organise themselves prior to attempting the mission objectives.
Additionally, the RHS: USAF mod will be required http://www.rhsmods.org/mod/2. It is a download of approximately 1.3 gig.

If you are trying to join Tanoa/Malden or Altis then get kicked after joining then unload the CBA and Achilles mods and try joining again.

The year is fast drawing to a close and what a year it has been. New servers have been added, and now with over 10 000 registered members StrayaGaming continues to cement its place as Australasia’s number 1 online gaming community.
From all the staff at StrayaGaming we sincerely wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year.
XMAS ADVENT CALENDAR
We want to celebrate the festive season with you and what better way to do it than with giveaways! Over December StrayaGaming will be holding a number of events across all servers with plenty of wicked prizes, including Steam gift-cards, donator perks and Xbox 360 subscriptions.
The more events you take part in, the greater your chances of landing one or more of the prizes.
ALTIS LIFE
Enhancements have been rolled out on the Altis Life server. Altis Life v11.6 and Altis Life v11.6.1.
INVADE & ANNEX
Some exciting developments are about to be unleashed on the Invade & Annex Altis server - we can’t say much just yet, but, maybe Freedom!
SPACE ENGINEERS
We were very excited in November to announce that StrayaGaming officially added two Space Engineers servers as full and permanent fixtures to our service line-up, joining our existing Arma3 servers with full service status.
As part of this we are offering a modded Space Engineers server, to join our current unmodded survival server. Check out the full details below:
WASTELAND
We're looking for some Wastelanders to become part of the team responsible for moderating our Wasteland server, and maintaining the smashing reputation and experience that players have learned to love on our Wasteland service. Up for the challenge? Then follow the Discord link below:
CHANGES TO HELPDESK SUPPORT
As we diversify StrayaGaming, we will be making three distinct changes:
All Issue channels (e.g. 'Altis Life Issues', 'Wasteland Issues') for the TeamSpeak HelpDesk section will be combined into one channel ('Issues & General Info - Join Here').
We will be involving the discord support section more and more. A lot of options from the Forum Tickets will be soon be possible through discord. Space Engineers is currently trialling this change.
We will soon be implementing additional features for the TeamSpeak HelpDesk section which should see response times to issues increase dramatically for those waiting for 5 minutes or more.
