@Red is there the potential for us to get an indication of what these changes are? I feel it would assist in the formulation of people's opinions and or vote. It's difficult for the community to vote on the poll if they aren't aware of management's plan and ideas.

Most of the changes if there is to be a wipe will probably be centered the deflation of the economy, so im guessing the prices of everything will be reduced (including weapons and gear at stores). So also to accompany that, it'd be cool if the the 5 minute paycheck will be somewhat reduced to adapt to the new economy.

Also if there is a reset dont forget that the balance of cops will be reset as well, so the difference between the two factions should be minimal if they stay apart for a week or two.

  2. For Civ:

I'd say the best place to start on Altis Life would be to start off doing some small time runs (i.e peaches or apples) to get your player economy up. These runs can be found in all of the major cities and only require a small vehicle like an offroad or even a quadbike. To be honest if you're doing runs in Kavala/Sydney you really need a gun to defend yourself. I'd start in Athria or Pygros to keep away from bein robbed, then move over to Kavala if you want.

After you've done that, go save up for a helicopter (or truck) and licence training for a larger run such as copper or iron. Do a few of those then move to illegal runs, just be careful of Cops and other gangs protecting their drug fields. Also go get a rebel/contractor/cartel licence so you can get some better gear.

    For Cop:

Jump on as a pubslot officer and learn how to be a cop. You can make a lot of money by being a cop (same with ems) as your paycheck is $5000 compared the $1000 of civ. Also you get cheap weapons and gear, but you have to adhere to their protocols (like not give gear away). To become white listed you need minimum 15hrs as a pubslot cop (forgot to say but you need to be on teamspeak (ts.straya.life) at all times) and submit an application.

    For Medic:

Pretty much the same as cop, but you don't get weapons. You get paid the same (I do believe so) and you get $10,000 per revive you get. Also they have their own rule set that you have to follow and same with cop you have to be on teamspeak at all times.

I'll let you decide but personally I find cop or medic as a good option to start off with, as you pretty much earn a lot of money in a short timeframe with a bit of effort. Also read the rules as well so you don't break any accidentally. Have fun and welcome to the community!

Especially at the Event on Straya Day where people would shoot then run into a crowd. You'd think that if you're truly innocent then you'd do 1 of 2 Things; Tell the cops who it is or leave the area.

Probably the worst example you have given. The cops on top of office building had a vantage point. They had more than enough time to load in knockdowns or to back off and avoid being shot at. If you look at the videos they weren't even aiming the guy with the gun, they just killed everyone down there without even aiming at their intended target.

    Worst Example?

How about you give one then.

An event is an event, there are rules outlined in an event. If people weren't kill hungry and actually didn't shoot at people for the reason of 'fun', we wouldn't have this problem. The officers involved have been disciplined per protocols and server rules.

How do you know civs go around in the City to bait cops? Or is this just pure speculation. If you do have evidence of people doing that, there's this rule.

I'm pretty sure that a server administrator will do his job and investigate, not forgetting that he sees more than most of us do. Also if people weren't coming into city to bait cops explain the enlarged safezone around Market, how bridge used to be a place where baiting was so common. I know that the majority of civs don't bait, but there is a select few who do, completely ignoring the roleplay and fun of others.

  4. The problem with 'crossfire' and cops is generally when in a situation, if a random civ strays into it they're most likely dead, as someone will make a miscommunication or just kill them on accident and mark it as crossfire - which isn't very good looking on the cops. Its entirely a matter of communication.

  5. Still its a matter of keeping the file as small as possible. We havent hit 30mb yet, and it will hopefully stay under even with the extra 6.5mb of uniforms rebels are allowed to have as a collective. If skins arent being used there is no point in having them there (i.e if more uniforms are added for SRT and nobody uses the old ones) as they take up space (probably 500kb to a mb

The point is, were trying to keep it under 30mb for as long as possible so when an update comes out that is just bugfixes, you wont be sitting there for a few minutes downloading the same textures.

  6. I'm guessing if it were to be added to AL, it wouldn't only be for SRT (a blue cop is a dead cop). Probably command team as well and maybe some junior officers (i.e sergeant). I guess SRT would have to replace either the greys or blacks with the new uniform to prevent the mission file from becoming excessively big. I personally like the AF texture as it blends in well in most environments.

  7. Recently i've been working on some textures that could possibly be used in some servers on sg (maybe for donors?). The most notable are the cop uniforms that were just added to Altis Life. So I decided to make a few more textures to try my skills. So I made these two skins. Im working on the Army DPCU currently so stay tuned for that!

Note:: Il put the majority of the stuff I create up here if your interested.

    Navy DPNU

I'd probably make the boots not as dark, probably a semi-dark grey. Il try making a regular dp uniform as well. Also feel free to post some suggestions for some new textures here, il make them and show them.

  8. It will be interesting to see how players adapt to different scenarios on different maps. Give a bit more creativity in a sense to the game.

i.e: Not drive down the road @LuckyB33f is waiting with an RPG a few times. Anyways go have fun when it comes out, enjoy CTF while its around!

@Spankadog if you have any Wasteland Issues, the Support Team and the WL Admins (James32 & Dak Commstar) will be able to help you out and clarify this for you and any other issues. Also you can utilise helpdesk on ts.straya.life or submit a Support Ticket to get assistance.

Pretty obvious do escape again with maybe different mods or maps

If you got any suggestions for mods that you and/or the community would like @James Smith fire away and il look into it.

Personally was thinking of possibly doing a Vietnam War escape using Unsung, or whatever the community wants.

  11. With the current path of medicine and science @kiwisniper, hopefully a cure or remedy or FMS can be found sometime soon so you can get better :). Seeing you leave yesterday from the APD was kinda, well, baffling. I didn't expect you to ask me to remove you from all of the databases at all. It truly was a sad day in the eyes of the Police Academy as we lost you, our 2IC :feelssadman:. I hope that eventually you will come back, as there always is a place for you within the Academy or StrayaGaming in general. Heck maybe even play Wasteland. Just saying, you sort of acted as a role model in Staff, Academy and the APD, In my experience you were one of the best people in the APD I could've and have worked with. Either way, go get better!

  12. The AH-99 is meant to be a co-op heli, but you can control all fire systems by jumping in pilot and doing manual fire, and switching between the two to access all weapons.

However as I said before this heli is best flown with a gunner and a pilot. Also play it from a distance, use the guided weapons to your advantage, don't play like a light helo like the Hellcat.
