Hi All, I have gone through our accounting and figured out exactly how much we need every month for StrayaGaming to run by itself, without intervention from StrayaServers. The donation goal has been set to $690 instead of $800 after taking into account what is payed for elsewhere. We have decided to only ask for the server cost, the rest will be paid by Lucky Beef, TrueBlue and Myself. I have included an expenses report below breaking down the payments from the donation goal and the total. I'm very happy and excited to see that we almost doubled the new goal last month, it's great to see you all supporting the community and helping it grow. Donation Goal $690 Services and Products: 1x Dedicated Server $390/mo | This is running Altis Life, our misc. servers (Ark, CSGO Comp, Minigames), the website, our SQL instance, and a few smaller programs. 1x Dedicated Server $300/mo | This is running Wasteland, Invade and Annex, and their developmental servers 1x Teamspeak License $218/yr($18.2/mo) | Paid for by B33f and Red 1x IPS Forum Software Maintenance $93.43/6mo($15.6/mo) | Paid for by B33f and Red I am happy to answer any questions about our accounts and billing as long as they are not pertaining to sensitive information.

It probably does, but we are talking nano seconds of delay while something else is being processed. I have Altis Life running on isolated cores to prevent both AL effecting other programs and other programs effecting AL. Anything regarding crashes and desync/lag is not caused by bad hardware. I can explain it, but it sounds like Connor is on top of it. The website is ridiculously large and resource intensive, and I am still getting my head around Apache and PHP optimisation on Windows.

(Helpdesk will still be open for all the existing things it is now.) Your support requests will be confidential to the server staff that your request relates to, an example of this is that if I put in a unban appeal for Altis Life, only the server staff of Altis Life can see said appeal. The following contents of this post will detail how to fill out a support request step by step. You should all see a button at the top of the forums labelled ‘Support’ this is how you access the support request interface. 1: This panel is where you see your existing support request/s. 2: This is how you submit a new support request. When you have clicked on ‘new request’ it will take you to this page, under the ‘Department’ section it will have all the current support requests you can make. Once you click on a ‘department’ it will prompt you with a template for you to fill out. We all really appreciate the work that you put into this community, and I'm sure we can try as a team, and as a community to get that 200 dollars over the goal so you don't have to spend your own money on the TS license. It's a service we ALL use and need. - nclem

Hello my friends i dont want to make this topic a long today i made my choice is to leave Strayagaming first i want you guys how much i loved this community members and staff I loved this community very much and you were a second family to me I spent much of my time here more than the time I spend with my family I had hoped that I would not have taken this decision again after I had taken it before when i leave in first, but today i see the same thing again like nothing after the promise Anyway I do not want to disturb anyone in my problems before I leave So I forgive all those who insulted me, my family my religious and my life, and even those who called me the terrorist anyway. Lads, We understand this may look a little different right now... We updated the IPS forums and in doing so it have changed our CSS config... If you think this is weird the AdminCP is all sorts of crazy... Over the next week we will work on some changes to fix it all up... So please stand by for the fixes

Fair enough was the server performance the same though i know the crashes and kicks can't be prevented currently but what about the desync and lag ? i know you mentioned when there's issues to tell you directly so its not lost in passing the info down to you Since the last update with the performance to how database works e.g wanted list its actually be a lot worse i was taking on average 15 - 20 secs for people to be displayed on the wanted list most of the cops noticed it straight away if you wanna take a look into it i will confirm again today when i play if its still the same and submit bug report for you

First i wanna say thank you for providing the altis life server im currently having a lot of fun playing on it and have just recently donated to the community with that being said i have 1 question and keep in mind i have 0 understanding of server limitations etc Running the altis life server on a dedi with all the misc servers the website and sql and other programs does this have any impact on the performance of altis life ? only asking because the server lags a lot the wanted list which just had a new update lags even more now than prior there's constant desync the crashes/kicks have been explaining as a bohemia problem and not much can be done i understand that but what about the other stuff mentioned even the community website is quite slow / occasionally goes down sometimes Once again this is just a genuine question because i don't understand the limitiations etc of dedi servers and i don't believe its my connection as i never lag/dropout at all

The past couple of months we have seen a lot of changes come about on Altis Life. Their have been numerous changes made to the server to help bring about new positive changes. We have come a long way in making Altis Life a different experiance to what it was. People have worked day and night to make sure the content was delivered in a timely and stable manner. Their are still some bugs here and there (Thanks Bohemia) but improvement is made almost every day. Cannot thank the people involved enough considering the amount of effort that was required to get to where we are today. The community has reached out and put forth ideas that not only have had a positive effect in game but have built a solid base to continue moving forward. The APD has a complete structure now in place and is run by Wex. The handover was only days ago. The time and effort involved in the writing of all the documentation and working through every procedure rebuilding from the ground up for many was a slow but methodical process. What has become of the new APD is a strong structured environment in which people who are new or old to the community can see positive change. The balancing wasn't easy for those involved and i believe they are still developing new strategies and techniques to further push the envelope in terms of development. Our civilian population has grown, we have many new players and even older players joining us to help in further developing Altis Life to make it better then what it ever was. Its great to see people helping new players find there feet and provide assistance where necessary so that they can enjoy there experiance. It would be great to see some of these new players migrate into the already established Rebel gangs / Cartels. This is where you guys who are looking for potential new members can recruit those that are new to the server and show them what a great community we have. The staff are more the happy in assisting those gangs in doing so. Events of of late have not been very frequent if at all. We are going to run regular events that benefit all factions, again we encourage you all to post your suggestions on events so we can encourage more interactivity not only in a roleplay sense but create unique experiances that can be shared by all and become not just a rare thing but regular with changes to how the event itself unfolds. Over the coming days i would like to sit down and have a chat to you all. You cannot be productive if you do not talk to your community. I would like to hear from you all, my goal presently is to further buff the Rebel populace and have cartels recognised again. There have been alot of new rules put in place for Cartels that have made for positive changes, if you havent read the rules on Cartels as of late i would reccomend having a look. You guys can Rob banks now! Civilian Contractors, those of you who are currently Civ contractors are doing a great job. Ive noticed a few contracts that have been put in place and it seems to be healthy. I would like with the other staff to again sit down with you guys from our last conversation that was conducted with Martin to hear further feedback on how you guys are going. Again i would like to predominently sit down with the Rebel Gangs and discuss how we can all adopt a strategy of forming a stronger presence for Rebel Gangs so we can bring back the rivalry and competition between Rebels. Im all ears. If you post in this topic it needs only be constructive and honoust feedback. Any post that is off topic or contains irrelevent information will be hidden. The purpose of this is not to start a flame war or people fighting. Its about working together as a community to make things better. We have an AL Manager that will be reading over this topic and listening to what everyone has to say. We will try to respond to everyone as timely as possible.
