I'd really like to see more smaller scale missions/objectives in the main AO that can earn players 'brownie points' (so to speak) with zeus, like if they do the mission they can request a supply drop or a vehicle drop that zeus can deploy (Because the pilots are so reliable). EDIT: And when i say vehicle drop i mean like a prowler or something, not an MBT or anything silly like that

I'm well aware of that, which is why i stated it as my opinion. I just sometimes feel that people have become pretty entitled to being able to land really close to the AO (Sometimes even inside it). Again, not suggesting any rule or scenario changes, just voicing my opinion.

When the change to allow CAS to engage AA threats came in i thought it was pretty fair, but now pilots seem to be so on top of things that all enemy AA vehicles are destroyed within minutes of the AO starting. I agree completely with stricter ROE for CAS vehicles. I'm actually starting to get sick of how casual pilots are about choosing an AO. Personally i don't think you should be able to land within 1km of the AO because of AA threats (discounting terrain advantages) for atleast 10-15 minutes after the AO starts. But this is just my opinion and not to be taken seriously. Also, have you ever considered having static AT and AA in the AO? Maybe not in abundance, but with increasing frequency as you get closer to the HQ.

Just a quick suggestion in relation to this. Maybe force a unique skin onto the side hummingbird to help identify it.

@Brodie All good man. Here, have one of my favorite memes.
  6. Zombine45

@Brodie Was just trying to make my case rather than look like an idiot who didn't read the post. Also, if 128 words is a 'big deal' for you, next time i post I'll use dot points and small words to avoid scaring any members of the community who have hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia.

While my current account isn't pre-2016, i did have an account before then, which was for some reason closed at some point when i came to check on it (Hence the reason why i made this one). In all fairness i probably hadn't been active or even come to the forums for about 2 months. Now while i don't really have any proof, i do have the link to the now ancient and devoid SOC roster (Which i was a part of, here's to the worst auto-rifleman in history!). Anywho, not a big deal for me but i figured i'd give it a shot. Also, would someone be able to add the "I&A veteran" tag to me on the forums? I have it on TS but not here.

    A true day of days.

I'd really like to see some skins for the Marid and Kamysh when given as side mission rewards, literally anything but the CSAT camo. I've lost count of how many times I've been shot in the ass by some bright spark with an RPG who cant check the map.
  10. Zombine45

I like the idea of a civ kill increasing the difficulty of the mission.
  11. Zombine45

I'd love to see a convoy style mission where we have to steal and return to the base a tempest (device).
  12. Zombine45

Well, my advice would be only use thermals to identify a target, then turn thermals off, check map and have a good look at them. Are they moving like an enemy? Are they shooting at you? Stuff like that. Also, a good technique i use with the map is to put my personal waypoint on the nearest friendly to the spot where I'm seeing this 'enemy', if your mark comes up on the enemy you're looking at, they aren't an enemy. Aside from all that, friendly fire incidents happen to everyone(And at some point or another they will happen), best to not get hung up on it. In the moment, say sorry. If the person you killed wants to take it further than that, ignore them. You said you're sorry and that's all you can do.

I'd be in for restricting certain CSAT and AAF uniform items. I think restricting the actual clothing items and some helmets would go a long way, as this is what most people look at when trying to identify a target. I agree with rog on the point of the hexes; they don't exist in real life and noobs have to learn sooner or later what a friendly looks like and what an enemy looks like. P.S. Don't ever remove the CTRG gear.

Never give up! Never surrender! The last tempest survived till the end!

While i'm not a moderator nor an admin, in general practice pilots wait at the base untill they're called in, holding at altitude isn't really helping the people at the base, and while there were other pilots available, you are also a pilot, you can't expect special treatment just because there's four other pilots. I'd say that if you have enough time to climb to 14,000 ft then you have enough time to RTB and grab some more guys.

Not exactly one of these......but it'll do edit: stupid image, y u no load
  17. Zombine45

    @Fitz I'm waiting
  18. Zombine45

Need a special HEMMT with that AAA gattling gun strapped to the back @Fitz

Now this is how you get shit done.

Nah man, Hamish just knows how to get shit done.

THANK YOU BASED QUIKSILVER, YOU ARE TRULY A MERCIFUL GOD.

RIP ground vehicles, because it totally isn't possible to remove the turret from a gorgon and swap it with something else.... (A hallmark feature of the Pandur II, the vehicle the gorgon is based off, is it's modular weapon system) I just feel like ground vehicles always get the short end of the stick when it comes to vehicle upgrades QQ I really hope they address a lot of these issues in the Tanks DLC, instead of adding three new tanks built to the same pathetic standard the current ones are.

I agree with this idea, and there are a couple other channels i think would be nice to have (i.e Logistical services). However, i think it should be named "Fire Support" to minimize confusion.
  24. Zombine45

Unless it's a serverside addon, it isn't going to happen. Because if the server has it, then everyone who joins needs to have it, and the whole point of the server is that it's a vanilla server.

Recently I've been seeing more and more people taking MBT's and other heavy vehicles to the AO and dying within 2 minutes of them getting there, as someone who takes driving an armoured vehicle pretty seriously, this annoys me to no end. Especially when those people waste a kuma and have it replaced by a slammer (Those who know me should know that my hatred for the slammer is powered by the fury of a thousand suns). It is for this reason (And a couple other smaller reasons) that i propose the Heavy Armour slot. This slot, would allow players access to MBT's and other heavy vehicles (This would require removing the MBT's from the main car park) This slot, like the pilot slot, would require players to be on teamspeak (Probably in a different channel to the pilots as that channel gets pretty crowded), it would require them to know how to use what they are driving and to work as a team while using it. I was thinking maybe 2-3 of these slots plus one whitelisted. I think their vehicle area, like that of the pilots, should be split off from the main spawn of the airbase, with permanent spawns for slammers[apparently some people like them?], kuma's, AFV-5's (@Qeus) and maybe an AA vehicle. Plus a few AI around for crew, so we don't need to have all of the heavy armour players in the same vehicle. This is something I've had on my mind for a while now, I've been slowly constructing it into a full idea and i think its ready for serious consideration, what does everyone else think?
