3 pointsHey guys just thought I would mention my thoughts on this as it could become an issue down the track. scenario 1: the undercover units rolling near your area (heroin ect) you want to stop them from doing drugs. You assume it's a normal civ so you declaire via side chat they don't answer they all die and take you up for rdm soloution: make a whitelisted civ slot for undercover cops, that way they can access all this awesome stuff and still get to see the decs via side and can declaire them selves E.g stop in the name of the law this is the APD undercover unit pull over now! Or make a licence that only they can get which is like an undercover base so no need for whitelist Thanks guys

3 pointsThe White-listed Civ slot, would most likely be on the edge of meta-gaming, if not the full thing. My suggestion would probably be that, the undercover units, don't go near drug fields unless they are scoping it out. or are just normal general duties units? thoughts? @vizzN @martin @That Lucky SOB

3 pointsEarlier today I had some free time on my hands. Like any of us would, I spent it on strayagaming. Lacking the motivation to do runs I decided to try and scab some goodies. After searching a few, I thought about the chances of me getting anything good. I flew over the junk yard south east of cocain field and created a chart with 100 slots. I spent the next two hours gathering info and I was suprised to find out that a lot more effort was put into this system then I initially thought. heres what I found out and check the bottom of the list for some notes I took. Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 1 Loot: 3 Pestside Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 4 Loot: Nothing of Value Loot: 2 Loot: Red cap Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Red cap Loot: 2 lockpicks Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of Value Loot: 2 bolt cutters Loot: 3 Water bottle Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 2 Lockpicks Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 2 Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Red cap Loot: Red cap Loot: 1 Lockpick Loot: 2 pestiside Loot: Red cap Loot: 2 pestiside Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 1 lockpick Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 3 Loot: 2 Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Red cap Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 2 Lockpicks Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 2 lockpicks Loot: Red cap Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 3 Water Bottles Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 2 lockpicks Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Red cap Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 3 Redgull Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of Value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 4 Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 4 Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 2 Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 3 Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 2 Pestiside Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 4 Lockpicks Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 3 Water Bottles Loot: 2 Bolt cutters Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value Loot: 3 Loot: Nothing of value Loot: Nothing of value So unfortunetly I did not get any gold bars. In total, there I collected 8 different items, but outside of this experiment I have collected a total of 10 different items. The others being: -Gold bar -Large Storage Crate Putting the items I collected into a percentage, they would range around: - Nothing 50-65% - Random number (Useless) 10-20% - Red Cap 6-10% - Lockpicks 4-8% - Water Bottle 1-5% - Pestiside 1-4% - Bolt Cutters 1-2% - Redgull 1-2% - Storage Crate 0.1 - 1% - Gold bar ? < 0.5 Something I noticed was that after looting a junk pile, the next time you loot it would significantly lower the chance of finding another item. I found the reduction of loot was around 20-40%! Almost all junk piles are lootable! Piles of metal on the other hand seem to be unsearchable. Old brick houses can be searched at the fireplace. Blue barrels that can be found all over the map are searchable and most broken down, rusty cars can be looted. ----------------------------------------------------------- Was it worth? No. God no. ----------------------------------------------------------- All this data was luck based and I'm sure that the drops will be different for everyone. Thumbs up for the CSGO crate reference.

2 pointsTo further on your point about the declarations. There is a script out there that allows you to point at the so called player and write and email to directly that person it also does not give that persons name away and remains anonymous. To have that script in place would clear up a lot of issues between factions ect
-
1 pointThis script would help ALOT with decs and stop third partying a lot. as for UC units don't make it a white listed civ slot because of the massive metagaming aspect to it. We're tinkering with how we're going to use the UC units in the rebuild, ASIO (formerly known as SAD) will be rebuilt and have a specific job, atm we won't have UC units randomly wandering around New Altis
-
1 pointPeople will soon enough catch on to who is on undercover and who's not, The typical clothing and stuff is normally a massive give away.
-
1 pointif thats the case of how UC units should be. They should be making a character and joining the gang and messaging the police of ops they are doing etc. But at the same time, you are still a normal civ and work as a civ, just an informant like EMS have permission to do and cartels. It can create more roleplay through civ slot, but like Roger said, causing alot more metagaming. I think maybe having a cop slot that is scripted or something to be Undercover and you have to be wearing civ clothes and blend in, like you would in real life. If anything, thats what cartels are there for. They gather information about rebel gangs and movements and report to the PD.

1 pointThis spark of a idea came to me as I sat on a toilet contemplating my life. I propose that during a spawn of a new FOB there is a chance that a No Fly Period triggers and all helicopters and planes are grounded for the duration of a certain amount AO/FOBs. I belive this will cause players to work together more, rather than rely on pilots to pick them up and drop them off. This also will increase the importance of the FOBs too. Suggestions/Ideas? Just as I posted this I saw Ora's Topic. seems great minds think alike
-
1 pointNooooooooooo not yet. Firstly, if it's going to get changed, it needs to be changed to ASIO. Secondly, there is already an undercover uniform to be added, and these things are not neccisary and will come way down the line.

1 pointWhat was not working ? You have supplied nothing for them to fix. More info! Did you fill in one of these forums https://strayagaming.com.au/forums/topic/8767-altis-life-rebuild-bug-reports/ I did a copper run last night had no problems with the run. We are all going to have to chip in a bit more to get Altis back up to a high standard again. So note any problems and fill in a bug report. These dev guys do all the work in there spare time so lets try and make it a bit easier on them by reporting problems. cheers

1 pointOk. let us try to make it like a real economy. What I am trying to say here is that due to the limitations of this 'world', that is altis, the old market becomes obsolete and doesn't work. Yes, OVERSUPPLY will drop the price. Simple supply and demand laws tell us this. But, even if someone were to keep supply at 1 weed every hour, the market would still think it's being over-supplied and drops the price. But then of course we sell some other drug, and the market tells itself, oh this drug is getting boring... I want more weed, let's stick the price up! Oh and it's also making me long for some uranium... Let's just leave out the fact that drugs are addictive and thus demand behaves a bit differently... So either, drastically increase the complexity of how prices are calculated, or keep it how it is with set prices. Lastly, my thing about the RP doesn't concern me that it's just so we can RP more, but because that is what the rules tell us to RP. If it's worthless to hold one drug field, then that makes cartels worthless and everyone should become either rebels, civs or cops. And it becomes a shoot em up between the cops and rebels with civs just acting as cannon fodder. Cannon fodder and hostages.

1 pointThis is the most calculated and well said post on this thread, thank you for explaining it so well Yuri. This post is literally exactly what we are trying to do and can't because people are quite happy to complain and not give feedback and expect results, thanks to those who suggest fixes and alternatives but there is to few of you guys out there. We need more lists of things to fix and not more aimless complaints that don't help in the slightest.

1 pointMORE STUFF TO ADD: S.A.D: change texture on police had to say S.A.D and change the suit to black and white as they are detectives could also make people in S.A.D be able to buy all civ clothes and vehicles + shemags
-
1 pointTo all those waiting and asking me... rumour has it that the Altis Police Force is awaiting shipment of its new uniforms and vehicles and that the cargo is due to arrive within the next day or so...
-
1 pointThe things leopard and @Yuri have mentioned. Also 1: Hospitals in other areas, make them useable, even just copying the one from sydney and placing it somewhere else will be completely fine with us EMS. 2: Remove clutter from PD(fish traps etc) 3: More fields and things for rebels/civs to do outside of bank/fed 4: Possibly new vehicles or skins for EMS,PD and Civs/rebels-Allow EMS/PD access to donator skins if possible? and still have the logo on the vehicles etc.

1 pointIt would be good for a server event, but there are a lot of players who won't have the patience for long drives.
