3 pointsRed before i rage quit a few months ago i had about 30mil and couldn't buy a thing but starter gear. I have come back and started playing medic and started robbing people and fed ect and have mad enough money that i should be able to buy these weapons that you some how seem to think people are making and selling. BUT NO ONE MAKES GUNS! do you understand this? NO ONE! WHY? cause rebels hear that some one is making guns to sell and find out where they live and raid them every day for a week straight. DJ payed 23mil for the first M320 on the server he got raided a week later. dont think he got to even use it. if you made it so people can store in 1 vehicle it would have a limited amount meaning once items where made they would then have to do a balancing act to keep the important things in there car. This would also kick start people making guns again. I beleive father Yuri was planing on making a gang that was all about making guns yet that shut down fast. there are massive ranks from every gang on the server about this @Red yet you all seem to ignore this.... Police have a storage locker that cant be raided.. Cops have Code Black and can kick my door in with out a warrant. AND I LOOSE EVERYTHING even building materials that aren't illegal. I loose guns that i have brought for millions i loose all progress and then this makes me not want to craft ever again. This is the story of every rebel who has tried to make guns.. Red i put the challenge to find some one who is making guns cause i ask almost daily for gun sellers and all i get is Mk200's from airdrop.....

2 pointsIf it was a huge balancing act then you wouldnt have Police with access to everything that Rebels dont. It isnt about money it never has been, It isnt about the most sophisticated gangs, It never will be. Balancing isnt about the Top gang or the PD. Balancing is about ensuring the middle man with his gang of people can conduct fed and have that slight chance of successfully doing fed. FED aint worth shit, 230 bars with a worth of 20 Million is laughable, wow 2 million per person for a 10 man group, Thats 6 loadouts at rebel. The only reason SP do fed is to show who has the bigger balls, because they want to fight police and rightfully so. Fed is currently a useless mechanic you have implemented into the game because its not worth anything, A member can just go do a run at a illegal field and make that amount in 1/4 of the time to do fed, not risk the gang losing 3 million for 10 people if they bought the top loadout at rebel. I do not see any balance in place here, because every figure that i can run in this forum will outway everyone of your arguments. I can compare every price and what its worth to a rebel and guarentee you Fed is a waste of time in terms of robbing and then further prove its not about the money. Tell me this isnt so. Please sit down with the other developers and staff in your meeting and run through the figures yourselves. Then you will understand where myself is coming from a non bias perspective and the rest of the rebel community and Police. Is Fed worth its weight in gold? NO Can Rebels make more money elsewhere in 1/4 of the time it takes to do fed? Yes Is the crafting system being used to craft weapons to be utilised in the game? NO Why? Because the time + resources spent to craft said items isnt worth the risk. Should Constables in Police have access to 7.62? Hell Yes, all your doing is increasing maximum effective range GOOOOOOD Should Sergeants have access to Cyrus? Yes, Disable those goddamn armed rebel vehicles why not? Should rebels be able to buy a Cyrus? Yes - why? Because unless your a crack shot with a 7.62 or your gonna blow tires out your screwed. Cyrus can disable vehicles effectively. 2 pointsJust to make this 100% clear, I will never allow storage for civilian that cannot be stolen from, it is completely pointless. Currently the economy is very very dead, allowing players to use money to buy everything they want would spoil the fun. Players would start complaining even more. "x gang has so much money that they don't need to worry about dying". The top 30 players own 2.4billion with the total balance being 5.6billion. This is why crafting exists, and this is why it will not be removed or modified at the moment. Regarding the fed and overall combat between civilians and police... This is a huge balancing act, and is very difficult to get right for extended periods of time. Fixing your one problem doesn't necessarily result in a perfect server for everyone, down the line there will be something that ruins it again. As an example introducing bigger guns for cop may fix a single problem with fed, but it will open up a world of problems with something else. We can't just give a faction a tank/mortar/jet/attack heli and slam restrictions on it, like. Only use the tank/mortar/jet/attack heli during fed if the rebels have a helicopter that has fired no less than 10 rockets within a 50m radius of the fed. The same can be said for weapons. For me, currently the fed should be almost impossible for rebels to complete if a 10 man squad raid it against 10 police officers. However, this all comes down to tactics and gameplay. The more skilled group will win 9/10 times. We will look into small changes that can be made in the future, but please keep in mind that not everything we do will work to benefit you or your group/faction.

2 pointsMultiple times in this topic we have discussed how Police are able to obtain high calibre weapons and vehicles. They appear at Fed as an example and utilise these assets in a way to nuetralise a situation, Awesome. SP are a highly coordinated gang, yes. And so what? So we are going to tailor a ruleset just because a single rebel gang if they had access to such arsenal that they would roleover the PD? Well they did then and sometimes they do now. Adjusting the situation to be bias towards 1 gang is not a way you fix a solution. Sp are currently the only successful Gang to complete multiple Feds, That is not there fault. What about all the other gangs. Yes it is meant to be hard to do fed and damn straight you have made it hard with the currently weaponry that can be purchased from rebel. Dont forget the fact it takes hours to craft 1 weapon ie a Lynx ( Materials , Farming, moving up teir list). These other gangs arent as coordinated, But they enjoy playing the game. Fed is a form of ecomony, you take that economy to fund further rebel activities. For those Rebel gangs that get taxed by cartels for using there fields that predominently end up in a hostile gunfight and risk all to make money. What is left for the rebel gangs??? Fed is a place a rebel gang can go to make money with no risk of 3rd party interference. When you have an organised gang like SP that has such a large pool of income are they there to make money or are they there to get involved in roleplay and showoff there might to the police? Who cares the issue doesnt revolve with SP the issue lies with the other rebel gangs that are trying to make a satisfying income to fund further activities. You want balance and respect, but you dont want to give such assets to rebels to utilise to have a successful economy, instead you want to give 1 side everything they require to nuetralise a fed because of 1 group that doesnt care about the money. You want a successful community and multiple successful rebel gang organisations regardless of how organised they are but you will make it almost impossible for them to achieve those goals because of 1 rebel gang. The key to successful communities and good Roleplay is making sacrifices that allow all parties to grow in any given situation. By not allowing the same weaponry the police use because of 1 rebel gang means your restricting the growth of every rebel gang underneath them. Again SP is the only successful gang to be able to conduct a fed apropiately with all assets deployed on the other side. Sure continue to restrict rebels to using 7.62 weapons. Sure the crafting system allows people to craft weapons and use them, well that is not really occuring. The risk vs reward is too great. You can be that high ranking officer that spends 35-45k on a Lynx to go attend fed, But the guy who has just spent hours farming/crafting and getting shot at then determines how much of a risk it is to pull that weapon out? A single mistake he dies he loses not only hours of game time crafting that weapon but internally he has lost minimum 5 million. But the cop loses 100-150k for his loadout. I dont see a balance at all, No other gang is successfully doing fed. There being nabbed for Manlaughters and robberies and traffic offenses. The risk is already far greater for rebels. A cop loadout is pathetic and at minimal cost, The bounties they collect far outway the costs involved. Again a natural human reaction is to argue over money, But what is the real issue here. Dont think about 1 Rebel Gang, think about the community the guys who donate/play on this server that want to be as successful as SP. You cant have both. Life server is about roleplay and positive outcomes and a community who interacts with each other. Tailoring ideas around key players is never going to work because thats how you lose your community. Without your community you have the Rebel Gang and the Police that is involved currently and nothing else. Dont be selfish just because 1 rebel gang has an advantage. Your tailoring for a community not a rebel gang or PD. ~Bevan Gluesniff~

1 pointIm going to tell you 3 stories and one hypothetical, take what you will from all of them. Story 1) This was about an old server I played on years ago that died. I shall not mention the name however it died for one reason alone. A FAILED economy. We all know rebels like to rob people, but eventually this became bad for the server. Generally we had 2 large gangs on the server and as soon as any civilians left the main safezone they would be robbed. This instantly took away players from the server. why was this? Because money could buy everything, meaning the new guys couldnt escape from everything because these rich guys thought it was safe enough to go bring the biggest guns to anything as they could just buy them again. We don't want this to happen, we need to limit large weapons to the big fights, with large rewards after your large risk. Why? Because as seen above if we bring navids to rob civilians, eventually they will lose all their $$$ and not play. Eventually the cops will stop playing as your SPMG squad will kill out everyone bellow sergeant as all they have is 6.5mm MX/MXM's. Without Pubs, and all the constables their is no base for the force and their will be no force, we all remember times when there was at most 5 cops on the whole day. Story 2) Current police weaponry and arsenal. So now as the top tier rank of the normal police force I can tell you the highest tier gun I get; 7.62mm Mk-1 EMR, and that was mainly because of my own request. Everyone bellow inspector can only get 6.5 or 5.56, and you guys want to have your 9.3mm, 12.7mm for 1 million dollars...... As a lower ranked officer the only thing keeping you alive is strategy, a strategy someone else is having to make, with so many split second decisions involved they cant keep track of, this = dead officers, due to 7.62 through windows. Now SRT are only 15 out of 123 officers have an SRT rank, this does not include out hundred of pub slots (normally a quater of our numbers at any bank). What this would do is stop these officers from being able to get on and respond to Fed or bank. If you chose to do fed really you should have to deal with atleast half of these 'highly trained' officers, with guns slightly better then your own, unless you CRAFT, which is how the system was designed. you make a hidey house, and you put in the time, you WIN. So as we can see, if every rebel doing a bank brought a 7.62 from the shop like they are able to, their weapon caliber would highly outweigh that of the police (by average), at a standard bank. As for vehicles, Police get drones, yes, however you get the time to set your trap, police drones have no thermals, so often we miss snipers in hills as long at they are not moving. Hide and you will rarely be found. Hunter HMGs don't even knock down anymore unless the hostile is also inside a vehicle, meaning they are only effecting against moving striders or hostile aircraft. Or they could just be shot out of the hunter HMG through the window like normal. All in all the way rebels get to choose when to rob and get to setup first in sneaky little places outweighs or at least equals the police vehicular advantage. While you all may be sad about having to craft weapons many police officers now find it impossible to get the weapons they used to be able too. 7.62 was upped two ranks and the Lynx was taken out entirely except for around 5 people, of whom only two use it, and the chances of having one on for a situation is rare. Hypothetical 1) Okay, so like suggested we change the balance so to make it a equal playing field for Fed/Bank for the msaller rebel groups (assuming this is not the way it already is). You suggest it is already level for SP doing bank however at the moment cops only win around 1/5 banks (from what I have been told) against SP, now this doesnt seem very equal. From what I have seen the only time we win is when we have a large amount of forces from the command team with both the experience and arsenal to compete. If we made it even easier to rob bank/fed think about what would happen when SP did it. Police would be decimated in 5 minutes and like above many police would leave the server. As it is I heard a story of a Constable who has never ever made it inside the Fed as everytime he went his orders got him killed before he got to clear it. Now if SP, probably the most powerful gang on the server can do it, all the other gangs can do it too, you just need to put the time into tactics and the like, do something smart to slow police down. As it is bank shouldn't be won more then once a day, fed, no more than once a week. Because these are meant to be HARD! So if we make it easier for the smaller gangs, think about how often the bigger gaNGS WILL WIN, 5/5 Story 3) This isn't directly related, I just know about something that happened in the past. Around 9 months ago about 3 large rebel gangs went to helpdesk to discuss how the polcie were OP By the end of the meeting the admin in charge of Altis Life was so sick of the complaining he decided that EVERYTHING was now on the table. Thats right, this is why blackfoots came about (well atleast started to be used) The moral of this story is sometimes when you start a big discussion you don't get what you wish for. As far as the 10 minute timer, it is fair for rebels and police as it is. It would become very hard to administrate if we change the rules, and it just gives a gang/the police a reason to be able to go to helpdesk for something minor which may have had no/little effect on the situation. For this reason and many others I am strongly in the belief the rule is good as it is.

1 pointThe lack of top tier guns and the scenarios you described sound like it is the rebels own fault, not the devs Rather than encouraging a gun running economy they just rob each other then come to the forums to complain about it. Maybe try not constantly hitting each other's houses... leave that to the friendly guys at ASIO.

1 pointwhy ya gotta be Dissin the Slammer? sure she aint the best tank compared to the T100 and Kuma. but its still an invaluable tank. even proves fairly useful in some POW missions i've probably completed atleast 10 using a slammer to Evac the POW as it actually has passenger capabilites where the other 2 tanks do not. best tank? no. useful? yes. each to their own i suppose?
