Personally, I think the new Altis life part of the forums is a bit hard to navigate. When you go into a forum post or another page on that part of the forum, there is no way to go back to the Altis life hub (Unless you use the back button on your browser). Every button redirects you back to the normal forum instead of the Altis life hub. In my opinion, this forum as a whole is hard to navigate in general, especially for a new user. The nav bar needs to be used more to make it more user-friendly. On my first time using this forum, it took me a bit to find where the support tickets were located only to find out it was hidden in the footer. Things like this are important for users to find and shouldn't really be put in a footer. A lot of things such as the Altis life stats and the new Altis life hub are also tucked away in sub-forums. Basically, it takes a bit of exploring to find non-forum pages. I think these pages should be added to the nav bar or even separated from the forum boards themselves by something like the quick links you did with the Altis life hub. The support navigation in the footer needs to be moved to the nav bar under the support drop down. I understand this is a forum but not every user creates an account to make a post, but they need an account to make comp request or view community updates, and a forum like this can be overwhelming and cluttered for a new user. Also in the community drop down it says "menu item 133" and it launches teamspeak.

Hi All, There are quite a few projects that our staff have been working on behind the scenes, some are nearing completion, some have just barely started. In this news type post, I'll be going through some of these projects as well as a few updates to existing services. AltisLife First up in AltisLife, without a doubt our largest and most successful game server. We know there are many areas and problems that need to be addressed in Altis Life and we definitely are working on them. The AltisLife staff team are taking their time to ensure that we get as much of it correct as we can the first time around. A few key points that I want to mention: There have been rumours spread around of a wipe happening on the server, I can confirm that this definitely is the case. The Altis Life team is working on some major changes that hopefully will dramatically improve the gameplay for all factions, once complete and ready to be released this major update will occur with an economy wipe. We will give the players atleast a weeks notice before the wipe. It's not happening now so don't waste your money! Players with a ban of less than 2 months will be able to submit an appeal for clemency shortly before the major release date, I'll put another post up about that when it's time. We will be introducing a narrative that will, over time, allow us to alter the map and other features. This is to try and encourage roleplay and to keep players and the meta moving around, instead of sitting stagnant as it currently is. This is not a strict narrative, and it is up to players to decide whether they want to use it in-game or not. I have requested the AltisLife staff team to create some different narratives for me, I'll be reviewing them with James and Lotza. Together we will decide on one and reveal it prior to the major release. Currently the Altis Life rules have some ambiguous meanings and staff as well as players can often have a hard time interpreting them. I am looking at creating a sort of dictionary to explain what some of the buzz words mean, this should help players understand what 'RDM', or 'Roleplay' actually means within context on our server. When it comes to punishment I and a lot of the management team see that sometimes a ban just isn't effective enough for some players, they will just come back doing the same or similar offence. Because of this AL staff team will be revisiting the punishment system and looking over how it can be changed to better encourage players to follow the rules. One critical point I can mention is a monetary/item fine for certain situations, either in lieu of a ban, or complementary with one. We have worked on a landing page for AltisLife that will be release prior to the major release, it will allow AltisLife players to view only AltisLife content and provide ease of access to various AltisLife related features. An image is included at the bottom of this post. Forums There are only two points here so I'll keep it short. James and I have worked on a new default theme that should be a huge improvement on the current theme, and gradually over-time we will phase out the old one. I'll include an example image below. At the same time as the new theme, we will be restructuring and altering the forum to give it a cleaner look as well as improving user experience. There will be a larger post on this on the 26th or the 27th. I have an estimated release date for these two items of the 28th GameServers Lastly we have our new Game Servers, Antistasi, Squad, Post Scriptum. Currently these are all considered pop-up servers, I encourage you all to have a try of them and provide us with any feedback you have. As is with all of our new servers, we plan to have them up as long as they have players. Antistasi: Antistasi is a persistent complete map mission, it is heavily centred around Guerrilla tactics and provides players with a unique experience fighting against foreign invaders as a group of Rebels. In our mission, players fight against AAF and CSAT for control over the island of Altis. This server is whitelisted, to get whitelisted you will need to talk with one of our staff members on teamspeak. @Liam Sarcich Some people have managed to get past it by saying they are a private lawyer or what I like to do is say that I am a legal advisor, I'm yet to be denied the right to defend someone. Currently the legal system is in the process of being rebuilt by the admin/current attorney general @Lachlan.. The former legal system got to the point where the cops were unwilling to do legal system rp due to "ridiculous" demands for compensation. There are some high ranks trying to encourage more legal rp while there are others who aren't. As for house raids I think I heard that rn the police minister is granting the warrants.

(50 Words min) Well I think that the way the cop force is going we need more higher ranking cops on GD with high experience and who actually are trying their best to help cop out. Personally I believe that achieving sergeant would help me start to help keep other cops in line and help push cop to a better place, I'm not a bias person and I believe that my leadership skills will be a really helpful tool to becoming a sergeant. I have plenty of experience within the cop force and also within the server, I have been up and down the ranks before and I don't really agree with it but the past has happened and I want to be able to prove myself again. Teargas is bullshit, try to rob a bank or do something that en-voles cops they will teargas you and you legit can't do anything, there is no counter to teargas just if it happens to you, pretty much you're dead. If enough of us upvote this and show that it is to op then they should have it removed or have teargas mask added.

(My second strike) Who were you Disciplined by: Cabinet Reason for Disciplinary Action against you: Sent a declaration message to a gang while they had a hostage, which lead to them getting killed. Why the appeal should be accepted: I believe the strike I was given was unfair due to the fact that I was merely listening to another Sergeant's orders. First off, I was unaware that they had a hostage and had declared it to the police, I was either not in-game or alt-tabbed when the dispatch was sent and was not told by any other police or CO about the situation. Second, I simply just followed the other Sergeant's orders, we were doing a PolAir trial flight and ran into a rebel Pawnee with two suspects inside, The pilot told me to send a dec to the Pawnee saying "This is the APD. Land the helicopter and get out with your hands up for an inspection, failure to comply may result in lethal force" Once I sent the dec, the Pawnee neither landed nor flew away so no shots were fired, the pilot sent me a message saying "yeah one sec mate" so I told the side gunner to not shoot, the Pawnee landed but wouldn't get out, the side gunner then opened fire on the Pawnee killing both inside. About a second after the side gunner started shooting the two in the Pawnee, I was sent a message saying "Hostage dies is you engage", but it was too late because the Pawnee had already been taken out. I do not think it is fair to only punish me because I was the one who sent a dec, I did not shoot at them or order the dec to be sent yet I was the only one punished or even spoken to about the situation. Any other information: I was also not told about the punishment before it had been given to me, which breaks protocol 15.21 & 15.22, and so I woke up in the morning to a two-week blacklist from the APD, a demotion to pub slot, a permanent blacklist from Detectives and accusations of being a "filthy snitch" and leaking the Detective Database.

Recently, when trying to be a lawyer, or trying to procure one, I have been told - "Sorry sir there are no registered lawyers at this time as the judicial system is closed". This is perplexing as the rights you are read state you have the right to an attorney, although you cannot actually procure one. This is like saying " Yes, we know this is a democratic country, and you can vote for anyone, but if you don't vote for this exact one you will be killed." On another note, if this is true, how are police processing warrants and raiding houses, or even have any legal basis for their work? Just something I've noticed, hopefully this situation can be rectified, or clarified. As the more I ask the police, the more hostile they get.
