1 pointInspector Expression of Interest Note: By placing this expression of interest you are not entitled to the rank Inspector and it can be denied as well as issued a non-apply period of no less than 1 week. Do not bother anyone about your EOI, if you do it will be denied. Name: Hamme Callsign: S02M Assignment: Primary GD Secondary Academy Enlistments Why do you deserve a promotion? (50 Words min) I think I deserve a promotion due to my Continuing Dedication and persistence while conducting GD as well as performing my Academy duties to a high standard. I continuously Perform GD at a high standard Enforcing Protocols as well as assisting and training new Constables, Senior Constables and Sergeants. While on GD I encourage Everyone to have a go at COing and I try to help the new Senior Constables gain confidence while running GD with high numbers or during stressful situations, During this I give them advice on how to make sure everyone is doing something or help them manage a tough situation. A part of my responsibilities as Senior Sergeant is making sure everyone is Adhering to the protocols while on GD and I believe I have done that by working with CO’s to make sure everyone is clear on what to do, Issuing Gate duty when necessary and Backing CO when they make a Call. Over the Past 2 months as a Senior Sergeant I feel I have grown into a good leader and someone who people come to for help or advice. This is something that I can carry with me throughout the rest of my APD Career, I also think in my 2 years of playing cop this has been the biggest Impact I have had on the APD and I hope to continue to do so as an Inspector. Since my first time Enlisting in the APD I have changed into a more responsible and mature person, I think that I have shown this over the past 9 months performing a range of jobs for GD Command as well as passing down knowledge that I have received from Command members and Cabinet. Thanks for taking the time to read this if you have any questions about me or the APD message me on Discord 4123#6899 Who would recommend you for a promotion? Name: Dallas Callsign: K24W Assignment: General Duties Training Completed By: JotJTX List all Recruit Inductions you have done: Taxepus, JaseT, Jaco C Why do you deserve a promotion? (50 Words min): Well, first of all, I don't think I deserve the rank of Sergeant like its an entitlement, I believe I would succeed in the position of Sergeant and show lower ranks/higher ranks because I have experienced being a CO for General Duties, CO'd a few major/minor robberies. I see myself as well as lower ranks see myself as an approachable person for lower ranks to seek myself for help or knowledge, I enjoy helping out others in the APD, I feel as I would be a more valuable asset to the APD as I higher in the ranks and learn new things and more skills. I enjoy the roleplay and everything about being apart of the APD and I would like to gain Sergeant to further myself in the APD on Strayagaming. Who would recommend you for a promotion? 1 pointSenior Sergeant Expression Of Interest Name: Weaver Callsign: [S05E] Assignment: General Duties | Academy Training Completed By: Why do you deserve a promotion?: I've been able to work my way back to where I was before my disciplines, and I've learned qualities to help me be a better leader and better officer. I've checked in with supervisors and command to continue to better myself and work on anything they could see needed to work on and take on the responsibility to ensure when on GD, things are done properly and protocols are not waivered. 1 pointMetallic's Sergeant EOI Name: Metallic Callsign: K14W Assignment: General Duties Training Completed by: AceWinchester List all Recruit Inductions you have done: vince1, Lenny, Forged Lyze, Amber, Carthew, Caresinten, Wiseoldman, Varius Benson, SNAZZY_BOI69, Coco_Nuts, 1sgPerkins, Skynet, Shorty, Leon Woods, SGT Salt, Main User, Jack.H, XBunj, SmO, Waynekerr, St peterburg, CHUM, Goya, Seriga23, PanSu, sun, IceyTundra, rip & Miki, 29 inductions in total. Why do you deserve a promotion?: I am fully ready to undertake leadership roles and regularly try to advance elements of the APD in every way. I always try my best to propose new ideas and concepts as well as produce new content for the APD like new skins/PD. When I can, I would take the position of CO and I am easily capable to take control of a situation to increase the odds of the APD's endurance in any scenario. I endeavor that police power becomes within public representation and presentation of our numbers. When market becomes west Detroit every night, I do not order people to run from it, but to use proper strategies control and ensure the lives of innocent civilians. I have always tried my best to improve the experience, especially for newer recruits, whenever that’s checking if they are okay, bored or happily occupied with a task which incredibly increases their chance of returning and perhaps- becoming a full time officer. More recently, I’ve taken initiative as an academy officer in ALL aspects of Academy, ensuring that all trainings are going smooth and delivering friendly but constructive feedback to the trainer after their session is over. I’m also the first one to mark inductions down I’ve also advanced my skills into detective and stepped up as now a senior aviation officer with the intention of implementing and thinking of better ways to operate as a team. The time has come, I’ve proved I’m eligible for my promotion. Metallic for Sergeant!!!! 0 pointsSo at some point, the CAS Rules of Engagement were updated which prevented CAS aircraft from destroying ground targets that were +2km away from the AO/Side Mission that were not a threat to friendly aircraft. 2. the ONLY targets which can be engaged at free will are as follows: Enemy attack aircraft - attack helicopters and enemy jets Enemy ground vehicles which are outside the AO/Side Mission area that Pose a risk to other friendly aircraft, i.e 2km+ outside the objective area This change poses two problems: Risk to other friendly aircraft is ambiguous. The rule change seems to forget about the existence of friendly ground vehicles. Firstly, by adding the term "Risk to other friendly aircraft", you now have to consider what risk to said aircraft actually is. I find that there are two avenues in which you could classify something a risk to friendly aircraft, Armament and proximity, both of which incur their own problems as well. If we're classifying by armament, we have to ask what a threat actually is? 50. HMG? GMG? 30mm autocannon? Recoilless AT rifle? While some are definitely not a threat to aircraft, the fact that this even has to be asked produces a problem of lack of definition. We can also classify by proximity. It's very common for Transport pilots to determine a safe flight corridor, even if it is entirely unspoken. In which case, CAS can only engage ground vehicles if they are within said flight corridor, as by simple logic, if it isn't in range of friendly aircraft, then it isn't a problem. However, the dimensions of said flight corridor can also introduce ambiguity, while simply a vehicle that 2km+ away from the AO/Side does not. While this doesn't concern friendly transport aircraft at all, it easily transitions to the next critical problem. This entire rule change forgets about the existence of ground forces (Tanks, IFV's, light transport, etc.) and that random enemy ground patrols also affect them. While some vehicles can handle on their own, some depend on the existence of additional support, such as HEMMT's and other support vehicles. While this may not be a problem when your adversaries are HMG offroads and minigun qilins, When the threat is a T-140K Angara, there's a serious problem (Yes, they do exist.). No one has time to call CAS in. The unspoken interdiction that CAS provided was critical in ensuring that they get to safety if they didn't have any escort. Even if the ground patrols spawned in a spot where they never make contact with ground units, CAS blowing it up just to pass the time doesn't do any harm and is only at the expense of their own munitions. From this, we can sum up that the change to this rule has only introduced ambiguity, as well as just left commuting ground forces exposed without having their own escort. If someone performed a strike that potentially breaks this rule, said CAS pilot can perform any number of mental gymnastics to justify their attack, which only produces more problems than it solves. Now, we have to ask what the actual objective of this rule change was. The only one I can think of is that some CAS pilots were engaging targets that were deemed too close to the AO, and the proposed solution was to add additional guidelines for CAS to follow. To which I can retort that 2 KILOMETERS IS 2 KILOMETERS. If Pilots are engaging within this area, that isn't ambiguity, that's just plain breaking the rules. If everyone's breaking a clear law, It would be better to simply re-affirm your position and enforce said law, rather than introducing additional bits which make things worse. Other than that, I see no reason for this existing.
