Hi all, I would like to discuss with you our next step for the Life mission. Here we will explain what decisions have been made and why. Firstly, our current life mission is unstable, which is evident by the daily mass kicks and crashes. As I have previously stated, we are not the only server experiencing these issues. Bohemia Interactive has acknowledged this issue and is working with BattlEye on a solution. However, there are still many servers that don’t experience these issues which shows we can fix the problem ourselves, it's just that currently no one knows what the cause is. We have spent most of this year so far trying to clean up and improve systems in the mission but the instability persists, and with other servers experiencing these problems as far back as July last year, we won’t be waiting on BI for a patch. We have a couple of remaining options: Start again: This would involve going back to base Altis Life and slowly adding our features until we are back to our current state, but hopefully without crashes. The problem is we did this at the end of last year, so chances are we would end up right back where we are now. Write our own mission: When I say this I don't mean take base Altis Life and rewrite some things, I mean write our own mission from scratch. It sounds like a time consuming task… and it is, but this will ensure we know everything that is going on in our mission. It will give us the opportunity to have our mission the way we want it, not confined by the limits of the Altis Life framework. After considering these options, we have decided to go with option two. The new mission will be named ‘StrayaLife RPG’. Development on StrayaLife actually started back in January, but as a side project, something for spare time. As the months went on we put more and more work into the Altis Life mission with little to no success on fixing the instability, so at the start of August we froze all future feature development to instead focus our efforts on StrayaLife as it has become a worthwhile endeavour. We have a few main goals for StrayaLife: Stability: This is obviously our first priority. Feature-rich StrayaLife will not launch as an empty/broken mission. We will release with many new features so that StrayaLife is an upgrade from Altis Life, not a replacement. Civilian Purpose: One of the biggest issues with Altis Life is that civilians have no true purpose. We intend on giving civilians the opportunity to choose their own purpose, something to achieve or strive for rather than just playing to get rich with nothing to spend that money on. Replay value: This ties in with the above point. Currently once you get rich you have no reason to play, there is nothing to do after that because you have achieved the only thing there is to achieve. With some of the planned new features we hope to provide some kind of replay value. We will expand on this point more down the line, once we can better illustrate these plans. With all of the above in mind there are a few important things to note: Altis Life: The Altis Life staff team has taken over the ‘development’ of the Altis Life mission, in the sense that they can adjust: shop prices, content, conditions (required online players for example) etc. We do have an update coming with Laws of War which includes the new Ambulance, among other additions like police and civilian Van variants, as well as some changes done by the staff team. StrayaLife: StrayaLife is a long way off, so don’t let this post stop you from playing Altis Life. We are still in the stage of adding key systems, which will be followed by adding smaller features to get us up to the same level as the current Altis Life mission. After that we will be adding various new features before we open the mission up for alpha/beta testing. There is no set release date yet, it is too soon for that. Return on investments - pretty straightforward; -Shipping Companies -Storage Companies (People with housing that cant fit any more shit, can use storage facilities (I.E Think Kennards) - so if you own a large warehouse area, people store shit in your warehouse, and u charge them a premium on it -Private Security HQ Companies (Place and set-up for people to store and stash large quantities of company-owned gear) -Real Estate (Place for people to purchase , sell, or offer rental on properties they own) -Pick-Up / Towie Companies -Mechanic / Autotune Service (Place people can bring cars to install upgrades for speed, steering, armour, etc) -Shooting Range / Firearms Trainer (This is an excellent idea, because it can provide people a safe, comfortable area to provide weapons training and handling for a fee to those who want it. New ARMA 3 gamers are always starting out, and buy guns, but don't know how to use them properly. Experienced vets of the game could very easily teach others the best way to shoot and handle their guns and make use of cover , distance, etc) Obviously some of these ideas would require additional scripting, but they're pretty sound. There are also a lot of ideas out there that would require no scripting, no buildings - only creativity and imagination. Tbh, it's quite sad that as soon as people get a fair amount of money, the first thing they default to doing is crime and shooting up civs / cops for the lolz. Yes, it's a FPS game, but srsly, if you want to kill things that badly, why not play on a wasteland server? This is a role-play server guys. Learn to role-play.

Anything like a stock market? Where you place money in a company ( Cocaine for example ) however the price can fluctuate a lot more than it currently is. So you buy 32 Cocaine stocks at 8k then you sell at 16k and hence profit, or it could drop and you lose money. idk I think it would be cool @Connor.

Have you considered a lot of straya gamers live in sewers and rely on giveaways..

To whom it may concern, On the 8th of December, 2017, the Royal Commission into Police Misconduct and Corruption will be officially opened at 9:00 AM Sydney Time. This Commission is set to run for two months, ending on the 8th of February 2018, Close of Business (5:30 PM). This Commission may be shortened upon release of its final report or extended if the situation requires. Due to the current lack of Attorney General, I Jack Fire, Director of Public Prosecutions, shall be opening this Royal Commission. This Commission is being opened after numerous reports of misconduct by high ranks in the police force and after review of disciplinary actions taken against officers within the force. This Royal Commission shall be led by Commissioner Stalker, with three other Commissioners, The Honourable Nevetos, TH3GamingBanana and The Honourable A. Steinz also taking on responsibilities. Further Deputy Commissioners may be appointed at a later date Positions may become open to the public to assist this Commission as a "Royal Commission Member," reviewing evidence and the like. The Commission will be split into 3 major divisions: Police Misconduct Police Corruption Police Disciplinary Misconduct (Primarily in the way of overzealous punishments) Forms will be made available to those who wish to submit any reports into any of the above categories or anything which they feel must be disclosed. These forms will be open to Police, Paramedics and the general public. All respondents will have the option of opting to remain anonymous to the public (a name is required so the Commissioners can confirm your story). These forms will become available at a later date. The Commissioners shall have the power to summon persons to the commission for questioning, to hear reports in private or in public, to subpoena any documents relevant to the Commission and to hold organizations or persons in contempt and issue fines or prison sentences for such contempt. At the conclusion of the Commission and throughout the Commission at the discretion of the Commissioners, reports will be released in regards to the findings of the Commission and any suggestions for the future.
