It has come to the attention of more than just officers but civilians as well. There is a general lack of roleplay and every time you jump on the server its either: Hit/Respond to a bank, Frag/Get fragged by Civilians. And whilst that it can be fun, only in moderation. Now whilst complaining is not much use, myself & others amongst the leading members of the APD are actively going to attempt to bring back as much roleplay between officers & civilians. The goal of doing so is to create a more interesting & enjoyable player experience & bring a further attraction to Sydney. We have this goal though we are not going to be able to make it happen without help from you guys. The civilians & rebels alike. Let's make this server the way it was once upon a time again.

There definitely needs to be a good mix between both combat and roleplay. Combat isn't for everyone and there's heaps of players who are here for the rp. I personally lean more towards combat, but roleplay is something we need on the server, and that can only happen if players put in the effort to engage with one another like Bouda said. I do get a cops point of view when they pull someone over and theyre just ear raping and just being toxic, and on the other hand some cops just speed through the rp to get to the end of processing to get the cash. Its an effort that both sides need to work on, not just one faction.

Instead of encouraging roleplay for roleplay's sake there should be ways to roleplay that will assist the combat side of the server. Being able to take medics hostage and force them to combat revive at a fed or have police sell equipment to rebels. This gives people who normally wouldn't roleplay an incentive to roleplay.

Warlords Weekend: RHS Edition - Battle of Morut Pass Created by Snohman Operation Objective: Two teams will start in bases on opposite sides of Lythium, one of Arma 3’s finest maps. Between them lie towns and strategic locations populated by enemy NPCs. Your mission is to clear out those locations, capture territory and gain credit - thus allowing you to spend that hard-earned credit on new units and assets which will assist your advance to the enemy territory until their home base falls. This is a persistent real-time operation that will run over the entire weekend, and you can join at any time. Equipment and Resources: The full range of Arma 3 RHS and vanilla assets will be at your disposal, yet dependant on the amount of game credits you have to purchase them at any given time. You will also have the ability to recruit AI players to your squad, also subject to game credit. Required Mods: RHS: AFRF RHS: GREF RHS: USAF Task Force Radio CBA_3 Warlords RHS Edition Mod Lythium Jbad Optional: JSRS Sound Mod JSRS Sound Mod AFRF Support JSRS Sound Mod USAF Support JSRS Sound Mod GREF Support Blastcore (standalone) ShackTac User Interface (Recommended to have this) When and Where? Here are some of my personal thoughts. Similar to @Turbanator's suggestion, we could rework the transport points to a more generalised "pilot points". Pilots gain points for transporting players to the AO, stocking the FOB and eliminating targets from any CAS aircraft. I would structure the points something like; 0.5 for lightly armoured vehicles, 1 for heavily armoured vehicles, 1 for helicopters, 1.5 jets. This would provide those more inclined to the CAS role an opportunity to increase their points from the CAS seat, rather than ferrying players back and forth to the AO. If you're a decent pilot, you could attain 20-30 points even with a Buzzard very quickly. The current arrangement isn't too bad, but I can appreciate where y'all coming from. Something that could also be tweaked perhaps is how high you have to sit on the leaderboard to get the newer CAS aircraft. A little nerf may go a long way.

I think to get better planes for cas, you should get points by taking out planes not transporting people.

From a managers perspective, we understand that roleplay is a crucial part of Altis Life for some players. We encouraged people back to Sydney with the return of office and other key aspects, however at the end of the day it comes down to the players to take the initiative and engage with each other. It is nice to see a post like this and hopefully we see civilians partaking in roleplay with police. We have some new additions in senior staff who would love to hear any ideas to liven up Sydney in terms of events aswell. Bouda / Kat
